One of them:
When the Fog Clears. It's a fictional (true in Simonia) story about Simonia's magical fog disappearing, the leader and her friends scrambling to find a way to stop monsters from invading, the creation of a new nation for the monsters, a foreign nation also invading, bringing the Fog back in the end.

Ahlamma Kasaaana.
There once was a mentally ill criminal in Ancient Altkania, he was good at hiding, but he did something unforgivable.
He killed a witch, looked through her spell book, and mind-controlled all of the nation, including the king at that time.
He abused them until they all starved to death.
Ahlamma had nothing left to do, so he took his own life.

There are plenty. One is that Saint George Killed the dragon in front of the town of Montblanc.

Another folk history is about the strange bend of one the Christ figure in the Santa Maria del mar Church in Barcelona. Is due because it was the Holy league flagship figurehead and bent to avoid a Turkish cannon ball during the Battle of Lepant (7th October 1571).

There was a person named Raja. Once when he was walking through the farms of his village. To his suprise, he found a book that had tons of spells. He took the book and went home. He red every single page and memorized every single spell written in the book. With this knowledge, he mind-controlled everyone and forced them to worship him, as if he was a God. After Bhag, a God in Tigrism, came to knew about this, he cursed Raja to become a statue. After that, Bhag took the book.

A Legend of Europe

This is story about a group of mischievous teens (who are children of our universe's god btw) living in an ancient continent named 'Europe' who through their vile acts, bring about the collapse of the entire continent and spread an ethereal scream across the remains of the world. What starts out as a simple prank quickly spirals out of control after one teen drops a stack of burning matchsticks, destroying the azure and causing the people on the ground to start fighting each other. In a hurry, the second teen spits on the fire ravaging whatever is left of this ruined continent and brings about a deluge. Finally, the third and youngest teen keeps on screaming about what their elder siblings are doing, their sounds becoming the desperate tongue that was heard on radios during and after the Russo-European War.

The Agonizing Farmer
Around the late 1940s,in a small rural village near Poltava, there was this misterious old farmer. No one in the village knew who he was or where was his house.
No one never even saw his face.
Everyday,he stood in his field, planting his crop.
But his plants never seemed to sprout.
When the sun would set,he would misteriously dissapeard from the field.
But he would later come back to the field around 3:00 AM.
At exactly 3:33 AM, he would suddenly start crying and constantly repeating "why me?",up until 5 AM.
According to the legend,if you were to be inside of it's field during this time period and you were to step on one of the crops, then the real nightmare would begin:
The farmer would suddenly start screaming with an inhumane voice. His limbs would start to deform to be long and scaly. He would then turn around, revealing his face to be completely absent of eyeballs and with extremely sharp teeth.
And finally,he would chant with a very distorted and demonic voice: "You will pay for destroying this holy food. The real God shall feast with your flesh and free your soul from oppression. Rejoice your newfound freedom",before ripping your heart out of your body and burying it into the ground.
After 10 people went misteriously missing around the field and the police was involved to investigate the situation, the agonizing farmer suddenly dissapeard completely, never to be seen again. After he left, from a day to another, the plants in his field all sprouted. Since that day,no one in the village dares to come close to the field

In 1235, when the native west culture of Pangaui Natua learned reading, writing and arithmetic material, a native Pangaui Natuin created some scriptures representing a dragon.
Sometime in the 1130s, a dragon hatched from an egg. Then, the dragon flew to a witch's house. The witch gave him 3 potions. One can give you the tricks that were never practiced for you, one that can fire big fires of h3ll and one that cursed the person who drank it. The dragon drank the second potion and eventually did the trick that burned the witch's house. The witch casted a spell to the dragon so that they can only use wildfire-causingly breathes for fights. It then flew back to its base. The mom of the dragon flew together with a bird which gained the same abilities as a dragon. The dragon told, "Who are you and why are you here?", The bird simply told "Look at my tricks", then breathed fire like a dragon. The dragon became friends with the bird. All of a sudden, when they got down to a gathering in the mountain, his breathe burned a bit of people in the gathering. This triggered and started the Dragon War from the people vs the Dragons. In 1172, the execution events started in which they forced to try different traps in the cave of Stalagia. Most of them escaped by just flying out, but then, during that time, after the Dragon War, they died in their cage in more brutal ways. The dragon died in 1188 when they pushed down the dragon to stalagmites during an execution event in the Dragon War.

THE LEGEND OF THE DESERT MAN

This story originates in India, one of the countries colonies. some context for this, currently Socialistic Britain has a rebel problem, Monarchist rebels, mainly populating India and far flung colonies of the nation, and this is about that

Many years ago, Long before Britain had colonised India, there was a family who lived in the south, they were a normal family, happy. The father was a hard working farmer, the mother stayed at home and cared for their 2 children. But when Britain arrived, that all changed, The father was enlisted into the army. The mother and children were left alone and the man was forced to be away from them for months at a time. They barely managed and the man grew more and more sad with his situation. When one day, when he returned home from deployment, he found his family missing

No trace of them whatsoever, it was like they had disappeared into the desert dust. He had become infuriated, anger beyond belief, he left his home in anger, heading out to nothingness, into desert in search of them, believing monarchist rebels had took them, swearing revenge upon those who took them, it is now said he is endlessly wandering the Indian desert, searching for his family, some say you can see him in the endless Indian deserts, a black shadow wandering the wastes.

In the heart of the Dyrrhonian Isles lies the Whispering Woods, a mystical forest said to be inhabited by ancient spirits. Legend has it that those who enter the woods can hear the whispers of the trees, conveying messages of wisdom and guidance. Many adventurers seek the woods for enlightenment, but only those with pure hearts can truly understand the secrets hidden within.

A famous folk tale in Sarawak Darulhana is the legend of Putri Santubong and Putri Sejinjang. It is said that they are both the sons of a king from heaven. The version that is often told in the legend of Puteri Santubong and Puteri Sejinjang tells the story of two princesses who are said to be cousins and have beautiful looks. These two princesses are also said to have very melodious voices and are likened to twin sisters.
They were both instructed to look after two villages where Puteri Santubong in Kampung Pasir Putih and Puteri Sejinjang in Kampung Pasir Kuning. They were sent to take care of these two villages to preserve and end the conflict.
Puteri Santubong and Puteri Sejinjang both have their own expertise where Puteri Santubong is clever in weaving cloth and Puteri Sejinjang is clever in separating the rice husks using an aluk (paddy pounder).
The beauty and skills they showed attracted the interest of a prince, Putra Serapi, to come visit. Because the two princesses were attracted and impressed by the handsome and handsome Putra Serapi, they both fell in love with the prince until a fight broke out.
Due to jealousy between the two princesses, a fight ensued where Putri Sejinjang, who was angry at the time, reached for the aluk, then swung the aluk to Putri Santubong's cheek. Many people think that the bend found in Gunung Santubong is due to the former swing of the aluk.
Putri Santubong took revenge on Putri Sejinjang by throwing a spear which caused Putri Sejinjang to be seriously injured. The actions of the two of them caused her father to get angry from Heaven and come down to earth. The two injured princesses were then sworn by their own father to become a mountain. And now, the mountain still exists and you can search on Google and type "Mount Santubong".

Fun Fact:Santubong is the name of an old kingdom and is the most advanced capital in the Borneo archipelago. However, the buildings that were built at that time have been hidden in the supernatural realm.

Safiloan Folk Stories

1. The arrival of the Sokha people.
Persecuted in their own homeland due to their pacifist altruistic-hedonistic religious practices, the Mazdakites (later ethnically known as Sokha or Sokhaine people) were chased out off their 5th century original homeland of Persia and fled to the islands of Panchaea (modern day Safiloa). They were led by Sinapeti, a daughter of Prince Kawus (the true presumptive heir of Sassanid Persia). The settling of Safiloa saw infighting between the various rival native Austronesian tribes, many wanted to enslave the Sokha, sell them to Khosrow, or even cannibalistically consume them. Eventually, the love and marriage between the daughter of the Kuailanoro chieftain and Sinapeti bore an alliance that dominated a large portion of the main island. Walls were constructed and fighting slowly died down. Soon other smaller tribes willingly applied to join the union.

2. Nenoku Venahu, the Great Peace-Maker.
A member of the Saitanoñ tribal people (indigenous Austronesians) went to live among the Sokha, after fleeing captivity and a coup by one of his murderous uncles, after learning their ways, Nenoku eventually reclaimed his throne to the Saitanoñ and promoted the Great Peace, which would see the remaining indigenous Safiloan tribes unite with the Sokhainean dominated alliance. This great peace established a mutual understanding and friendship that has lasted for over 1000 years. The Sokha were expected to uphold certain rules and vice versa for the various tribes upholding Mazdakite rules, thereby quickly mixing both cultures. The Great Peace firmly established a vegetarian lifestyle throughout Safiloa, allowing for many unique and endemic species to continue to exist.

3. The Qarmatian Prince
The Qarmatian state based in Bahrain and the Safiloans initially had friendly trade relations until the Qarmatians began using slave labour en masse. Violent slave rebellions broke out at the Qarmatian settlement on Safiloa after a Qarmatian prince sexually abused 30 women and the liberated Azanians (East Africans) were given safe refuge on Safiloa. The Qarmatians responded by violently attacking and enslaving Safiloans. Cities were said to been swallowed by the sea. Today, several pilgrimage sites on the islands are sites of major atrocities and massacres brought on by the Qarmatians. The East African population is a now considered a vital part of the Safiloan ethnogenesis. Today, the stilted Wotuku villages in the Burañnoan Marshes are primarily inhabited by descendants from the marooned and escaped East African slaves.

"The Tales of Auld-Statd" has two halves divided into "The Auldian Chronicle" and "The Statdian Epic". These are a collection of stories that are based in different time periods to tell stories of the people of Auld-Statd.

The Auldian Chronicle:
- Prairie Fires: Depicts the fictional beginning of a real event. "The Long Morning" was a massive prairie fire that raged across much of the country during the late 1700s.
- Rooster on the River: A fictional story of a father and son going down the Youck River on a flatboat selling goods, set during the early 1800s and is based on real trips down the Mississippi.
- The Same Sky: Set in modern day, it tells the story of a family of refugees from a far off land coming to Auld-Statd to make a new life for themselves.

The Statdian Epic:
- You Dont Have to Eat It: A story set in the 60s about a group of middle school boys getting picked on by high schoolers and how they put a stop to it themselves.
- The Bold 131st: This is the story of the 131st Infantry Division, General Koolikova, and their actions during the overthrow of the monarchy. Also set in the late 1800s.
- The Pilgrimage: Here the setting is again modern day, but tells the story of a family making a pilgrimage to a holy site located in Auld-Statd.

The Black Flash of Provincetown-

In the late 1930s, Provincetown was haunted by a figure known as "The Black Flash." At least two adult men reported being assaulted by a figure they described as over eight feet tall, clothed in black, and unusually thin. Other sightings of the mysterious man included accounts that he could leap over high fences. The sightings stopped abruptly in December of 1945.

One of my earliest dramatic roles - I performed as the eponymous turnip in a school play when I was very young (it was hardly the most challenging of parts :P ). The only earlier role I recall was as an innkeeper in the Nativity sometime prior.

As for folk tales in Rhanukhan, we have many stories of the popular hero, Robert Boutreknyffe...

Robert Boutreknyffe is a legendary hero, renowned for his wit and guile as well as his skill with various weapons, depicted in Rhanukhani folklore from the 14th century with the earliest written sources being found in the northern Nohyohvan provinces. The tales are almost certainly based on an earlier oral tradition, however, and most scholars agree that the source would have been ballads sung by travelling minstrels in the 12th century.

There have been numerous variations and adaptations of the stories over the subsequent years, and the legends continue to be widely represented in literature, film, and television. Robert Boutreknyffe is considered one of the best-known heroes of Rhanukhani folklore.

The historicity of Robert Boutreknyffe has been debated for centuries. There are numerous references to historical figures with similar names that have been proposed as possible evidence of his existence, some dating back to the late 11th century. At least eight plausible origins to the legends have been mooted by historians and folklorists. It is generally acknowledged that if there is any truth in the tales, they are probably an amalgamation of the exploits of several individuals with considerable later embellishment.

Rhanukhan State News Network’s beloved long-serving anchorman, Trent Butterknife, was born in the city of Krovdh Kaglakh and his family purport to be Robert’s descendants.

Image
Illustration of Robert Boutreknyffe along with his burrowing octopus, Lucy-of-the-Arms, taken from a 15th century manuscript.

One of the oldest tales pits Robert against The Sockdrowre Wyrm - a mythical beast referred to in a legend from Krovdh province. The great medieval bridge leading out of Rhanukhan from Krovdh Kaglakh is famed as the site of the legendary battle between the folk hero alongside his loyal burrowing octopus, Lucy-of-the-Arms, against the feared Wyrm.

The story states that the young John Sockdrowre, son of the Baron of Krovdh, was a rebellious character who missed honouring the gods at the temple one day to go fishing in the River Tehsi. In many versions of the story, while walking to the river, or setting up his equipment, John receives warnings from an old man (or a witch – depending on who tells the story) that no good can come from disrespecting the gods in such manner.

John Sockdrowre does not catch anything until the temple ritual finishes, at which point he fishes out a small eel- or lamprey-like creature with a salamander-like head. Depending on the version of the story, the worm is no bigger than a thumb, or about 3 feet (90 centimetres) long. In some renditions it has legs, while in others it is said to more closely resemble a snake.

At this point, the old man returns, although in some versions it is a different character. John declares that he has "catched [caught] Ekkhanda's spawn" (as any student of Rhanukhani mythology will tell you, Ekkhanda is a monstrous deity, the mother of all that is evil in the world) and decides to dispose of his catch by discarding it down a nearby well. The old man then issues further warnings about the nature of the beast.

Eventually, the Wyrm grows extremely large and escapes the well, moving to a hollow on the northern side of the River Tehsi, a spot still known today as Wormsden, just a few miles beyond the modern border of Rhanukhan. Emerging from its lair at dusk and dawn to ravage the countryside, eating crops, livestock and people, its armoured hide proves invulnerable to the weapons ranged against it. The surrounding area becomes ruined by the beast's predations and the people grow increasingly antagonistic to the Baron and his family, blaming him for their woes. Eventually an angry mob runs the Sockdrowres out of the province.

The news reaches the ears of Robert Boutreknyffe, a man of reckless courage, who was in the south at that time. He travels with his trusty burrowing octopus, Lucy-of-the-Arms - renowned for her skill with a lute (various tales claim that she could make it "sing alike a choir of children" - quite the feat for an animal many people keep as a common pet these days!), to Krovdh Kaglakh and hears the lurid tales of the locals. Observing the beast himself, he sees that the creature would open its mouth wide to swallow anything in its path. Sensing an opportunity, he goes to a local blacksmith and has him fashion a shiny new cuirass and a long, iron-covered spear supported by a wheel at its tip, which could impale a hunk of peat dipped in tar and brimstone. He practises riding with the burning spear to accustom his horse to the smoke.

Boutreknyffe rides out onto the great medieval bridge leading out of Rhanukhan from Krovdh Kaglakh with Lucy-of-the-Arms at dawn. He knows that sitting on his horse and with the rising sun reflecting off his freshly polished cuirass he must surely prove a tempting target for the monster.

As expected, the Wyrm emerges onto the bridge, but as it approaches, Lucy-of-the-Arms begins to play. Her music swiftly has the desired effect, lulling the great beast toward slumber... it opens its mouth wide and yawns. Robert seizes the moment - as if at a joust he attacks it, plunging his burning lance into the monster's gaping mouth and down its throat, mortally wounding it.

The writhing death throes of the Sockdrowre Wyrm are supposedly responsible for the curiously meandering path of the river in the region. The animal retreats to its lair to die, its thrashing tail bringing down the hill around it and burying it forever.

The legend states that Boutreknyffe's heroism was memorialised by a carved stone on the bridge (there is such a stone there today, badly worn with age, but studies have revealed it to date from the 1600s, centuries after the events of the legend are said to have occurred) and he was made Baron of Krovdh. The crest of the later Butterknife family, ostensibly Robert's descendants, is a serpent coiled around a burning wheel.

It is told that in the little town of Paiën‘s Wiche in the south of the county, a pilgrim travelling through the wold stopped and sighted an ancient man, with a beard as white as the snowdrops for which the town is famous, sat sobbing by the side of the road.

The young pilgrim, recalling his Christian oaths, asked the old man whyfor his heart was breaking. The old man looked up at the pilgrim and, through heaving sobs and tears, made reply that his father had beaten him so mercilessly that he could hardly stand upright!

The pilgrim felt sure that the old man must be quite mad but, recalling again the spirit of Christian charity, thought to render aid. “Tis no place out on the roads for a man of your years”, said he. “Come with me and I shall take you home.” With that the young man hoisted the old man onto his back and carried him towards the town.

Presently the duo came to a nest farmhouse looking over the Five Valleys, made of the characteristic limestone that holds about it a golden light. “This would be my home,” said the old man, squirming on the pilgrim’s back, “but I am most afeared of father!” The pilgrim, setting down his passenger gently, and certain that a father long dead could not scold his elderly children from beyond he grave, reassured him: “I am sure that his rage will have cooled by now.”

The pilgrim knocked upon the farmhouse door, and was shocked by the man who opened it: he was shrivelled and wrinkled, with a bare head and a beard as long as his arm, but his blue eyes were bright and alert and studied the stranger with suspicion. The pilgrim’s charge was dumb with fear, and so recalling the purpose of his pilgrimage, the young man spoke to soothe the situation; “why grandfather,” he said courteously, disguising his shock, “surely you mean this man no harm? I came across him by the roadside, wailing about how his father has beaten him!”

The ancient man stared back at the pilgrim and narrowed his eyes, then turned his fierce gaze to his son. “And why shouldn’t I beat the little terror? Look o’er the field and espy his poor old granfer climbing yon tree to gather apples, while this rascal throws stones at him in some manner of fun! Why, this here ash stick has words for this delinquent!”

At that, the younger man sped off yelping while his father chased after him, waving his stick and shouting. The pilgrim was left alone, and dared not look to the apple tree or its ancient harvester. He made his way quickly out of the town, not stopping at either church or tavern. He dared not linger long, for he feared they must live forever in Paiën‘s Wiche.

There is the story of the Lady Grey, a ghost ship that has been spotted several times over the course of 3,000 years.

It's captain, Dragomyr Volynets, was said to have once been a mortal man famed for his cruelty and sadism. He was an unrepentant pirate, who would capture and torture other Zirkovian crews for his own sick pleasure. One fateful day, however, he encountered a Priest of Sol aboard a ship rich with plunder. As was his custom, he brutalized the priest, laughing maniacally as he did so, cursing the gods between each breath. But as the Priest slowly expired, he cursed Volynets and his crew - they would forever sail the stars, growing older but never dying, and never being able to return home. They would hunger ever more, but never be able to satiate themselves - never finding satisfaction no matter how many ships they plundered. And so it was that the crew and captain of the Lady Grey found themselves doomed to sail until the end of days. They would never know love again, and never see their families. It is said they will hail any ship they encounter, requesting the mortal crew carry messages back to port for them - messages to men and women long dead. That is if the crew of the Lady Grey don't attempt to relive their glory days and raid the ship instead. Several thousand years old now, the Lady Grey's crew are little more than skeletons held together by malice, bloodlust, and dark magic. Of course, there are many who believe the Lady Grey is nothing but a ghost story to scare children, but there are many experienced sailors who dread the day they will encounter the ghost ship and its sadistic captain.

A rather famous story hailing from the Hermit State of the Realm would be the 'Queda rosada dos coelhos', with the tale describing the origins of the charismatic State Animal species, the Giant pure rabbit (Tephralagus Leucomagnus). The story explains how the Rabbits fell from the Moon after angering the lunar deity, Lord Tsukuyomi with their laziness, and landed softly on the Rose-covered plains of the State. Ever since this, the rabbits have been yearning to return, longingly gazing at the moon on their hindlegs at night.

Majority of the State's inhabitants seem to fully believe it too, which is something.

That would be the Tale of the Blood Caliph. Unlike many folk stories in other nations, this one not only actually happened and is well documented in the nation it occurred, the protagonist is still alive, albeit degenerated into madness.

In both the continents of the Land of Power and the Valkia, this tale is the very defining fabric of folklore across the nations and cultures.

The story is rather simple: once upon a time, the land of Darussalam was ruled by a dynasty of Caliphs that predated the current House Ma'ad. Through a series of interactions and coincidences, a beautiful, powerful Kitsune from the North Lands (usually said to be Red Scarf, a Kitsune of immense power who grew in strength by eating men and other Kitsunes, who eventually went mad), made her way to Darussalem and eventually got intertwined in a steam romance and abusive, toxic relationship, with the Kitsune being the one wearing the pants.

One thing led to another, one night lead to more fornication, and in each situation, the Caliph was mind-broken, his mental state was deteriorated, and he was manipulated into a further and further, almost obsessive devotion to the Kitsune.

Then the Kitsune ate the Caliph and his entire bloodline.

The end.

This story means something different to everyone in the Region. To TurtleShroomers, it is a warning about both the bloodthirsty nature of Kitsunes and the evils of fornication and taking mistresses.

To Darussalemites, it is a beautiful romance with a deep meaning and relation to meta-physical, philosophical, and esoteric thought. By eating the Caliph and his bloodline, they and the Kitsune became one, which is a metaphor of esoteric Annihilation Through Unity. It's also hot.

To the Kitsunes themselves, it is Social Darwinism and the "lamb/wolf dichotomy" in action. One is either a predator, or the prey, and it is the absolute right of the wolves to devour, or corral, the lambs. The Tale of the Blood Caliph is simply a natural, real world example of that lifestyle and its status as an universal truth. It's also hot.

North Lands societies like the Nekomimis and men of the Yue theocracy, or the stratocratic Tsaos of both TurtleShroom and the North, view it similarly, though not in such an intense degree as the Kitsunes would. It's also hot.
