If Satan or some other dark force is the prince of lies and someone is in league with them, then any evidence of a witch being a witch is based on a lie and cannot be trusted. Thus, the one who seems most unlikely to be a witch would be the one most likely of being a witch.

So witches are probably sweety pies but there are also real sweety pies so we are still back to the impossibility of being able to ferret them out.
