Our heritage:

Founded after the end of WW2 with just 3 ex-military Douglas DC-3s, United Air Transport started small. With a focus on customer experience and reliability, the airline grew steadily, operating its first international flight to Los Angeles in 1948, and buying its first jet in 1958, becoming an early adopter of the new technology, allowing the fledging airline to expand worldwide to Japan, Australia, Europe and India, constantly expanding its network from its Eldorado hub. The onset of war in 1959 brought enormous challenges, but UAT survived and continued operations, airlifting cargo to besieged cities, and ferrying troops from island to island. Post war times were leaner, but with the economic miracle of the mid-late 1960's, the airline once more began to thrive. The first jumbo jet, delivered in 1970, revolutionised the airline's operations, opening up far off markets in Europe, Australasia, the middle east and Africa, spreading UAT's brand image across the world.

Since reunification, UAT has been continually expanding worldwide. The airline has developed a reputation for safety and luxury: in 1970, bars and lounges were added to the jumbo jet's upper decks, and in 1988, the airline was the first to introduce lie flat seats in first class. UAT's safety record has been impeccable, without a single fatal accident since 1978, and the airline operates one of the world's most modern fleets.

Our Service

At UAT, we are committed to providing a high standard of service across our airline. From the moment you book, to the minute you touch down, we put you, the customer, first, and therefore will do everything we can to make your journey a more pleasant one.

Our Travel classes

Image

First class - The very best UAT has to offer, our first class product represents the pinnacle of luxury air travel, and is exclusive to our 747-400 and 747-8. Each seat is isolated from its neighbours by a full-height wall and a closable door, and can convert into a 32-inch wide, 83 inch long flat bed. Each seat has plenty of storage space, with a full-length wardrobe, a drinks cooler and 3 other storage compartments available for use. To make flying a more social occasion, each suite has a second, smaller seat for use in flight - perfect for having guests over for a quick chat, or a relaxing meal at 40,000 feet. The seat can be electrically adjusted via a touchscreen remote, which can also control lighting and temperature, as well as the firmness of the seat via UAT’s cutting edge pneumatic cushion technology, which provides a softer, yet more supportive seat for sleeping and sitting.

Our guests are treated to a bespoke dining experience, with menus curated by world-famous Marinian chef Ferdinand Austin. Dining is available on demand at all times of the flight save for takeoff and landing, and is supplemented by over 60 beverages and 30 kinds of wine hand picked by our master sommelier. The menu has a strong focus on local ingredients and recipes inspired both by Greater Marine and our international destinations: all food is prepared fresh in our kitchens shortly before takeoff, save for our on demand menu, much of which is prepared in flight by our on board chef. Freshly made Marinian coffee from our onboard espresso machines is available on demand, as well as juices, soft drinks and other non alcoholic beverages. Cocktails are mixed in flight by our cabin crew, and can be served either at the seat, or at the first class bar at the back of the cabin.

First class passengers also receive the following perks:

  • Use of the UAT first class terminal at Eldorado President Fernandez International Airport
  • Free access to all UAT Platinum lounges

No attention to detail has been spared. The Italian merino leather seat coverings have been hand embroidered with silk threads, whilst fine Marinian oak veneers cover tables and decorative surfaces. 3 reading lights and 4 storage compartments are available for use, as well as USB charge points and plug sockets. An electronic privacy partition can be closed off at the flick of a switch, instantly isolating the seat from any unwanted disturbances, and the passenger has full control of temperature, lighting and seat position via a touch screen remote control.

Passengers are treated to a sophisticated menu spanning a range of cuisines as diverse as Greater Marine itself, with over 252 options pre-selectable at booking, access to over 25 wines hand picked by our master sommeliers, as well as 50 types of beverage and 30 types of snack. With a strong focus on using local ingredients and recipes, our catering experience aims to add a Marinian touch to every flight. Our Fleet

Since its inception in 1945, UAT has operated over 50 different types of airliner. Nowadays, UAT has one of the world’s largest, most modern fleets in the skies, with an impeccable safety record and a reputation for luxury and glamorous modernity.

Long-Haul Fleet

Image

    Image
  • 19 x Boeing 747-8 - The flagship of our fleet, the 747-8 represents the best our airline has to offer, and is a favourite with both passengers and crew. Its 15000km range enables it to serve longer routes than any other jet in the UAT fleet, whilst its modern GEnX engines and composite construction make it both cheaper and more environmentally friendly to run . The space provided by the iconic and much-loved jumbo jet gives room for an onboard bar and an upscale lounge, giving a level of luxury unheard of elsewhere. The jumbo jet seats a whopping 360 passengers, including 6 first, 48 signature seats, and 72 UAT plus seats.

    Image
  • 10 x Boeing 747-400 - The former flagship of UAT, the classic jumbo jet has been a mainstay of the UAT fleet since 1990, carrying millions of passengers for a cumulative total of 608 million km without a single accident and opening up lucrative new routes to far flung destinations in Southeast Asia, Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Refurbished in 2016, the 320 - seat jumbos are fitted with our latest hard product, with 6 first, 44 signature and 56 UAT plus seats, and will stay in service until at least 2028.

    Image

    Image
  • 28 x 787-9 - Our most modern and efficient airliner, the 787 Dreamliner is the backbone of our long haul fleet, and the future of our airline. Onboard, passengers can expect the very finest in creature comforts, with large, dimmable windows, a more humid cabin air supply, and soft ambient lighting, whilst the advanced composite construction of the Dreamliner makes it our most environmentally friendly and efficient long-haul aircraft. The jet can seat 220 passengers, with 28 signature seats, and 36 UAT plus seats.

    Image
  • 16 x 787-10 - For busier routes without the demand for the jumbo jet, UAT operates the 787-10, a modern, efficient workhorse of our airline. Equipped with 36 signature seats, and 48 UAT plus seats, the jet in total seats 268 passengers. Overall, the 787-10 offers many of the same perks as the smaller -9, including the 8 - abreast economy seats, which are the widest of any operator of the type.

    Image
  • 14 x 777-200ER - A regular workhorse of UAT's international routes, the "triple 7" has been a mainstay of our fleet since 1996. The widebody twinjet's spacious interior provides space for 36 Signature and 48 UAT plus seats, seating 273 passengers in our newest, most comfortable cabins, whilst its long range enables routes to far-flung destinations previously unserved by direct flights.

    Image
  • 12 x 767-300ER -The first widebody twinjets in the UAT fleet, the Boeing 767 revolutionised the UAT fleet when introduced in 1987, offering substantially more space, capacity and comfort than narrowbody aircraft when used on short haul routes, whilst having the range and efficiency needed to operate long haul. With 24 signature and 30 UAT plus seats, the 767 seats a total of 201 passengers with our latest hard product.

Short-Haul Fleet

    Image

    Image
  • 60x 737 - 800 - The workhorse of our short haul fleet, the 737 has been a staple of UAT since 1963. Seating 152 people in a 2 class configuration, with 20 UAT Plus Seats, the 737 offers a comfortable journey on short haul routes, with world-leading levels of legroom, and a recent cabin refit which has brought the fleet to the high standard of our wide body jets.

    Image
  • 40x 737 MAX 8 - The latest generation of our narrow body fleet, the MAX-8 is a quantum leap ahead of its predecessors, carrying more people in greater comfort, cleanliness and efficiency than ever before. The MAX-8 seats 164 people, with 20 UAT Plus seats, and 2 extra legroom rows in economy.

    Image
  • 20x 787 - 8 - The only widebody planes in our short haul fleet, the 787 Dreamliner gives a new level of space and comfort to short haul flights. With 270 seats including 54 in UAT plus, the Dreamliner is well suited to high demand routes to North America, as well as some longer journeys.

UAT Regional Fleet

    Image

  • 10x Northstar Meteor 66 - The first modern jet airliner built in Greater Marine, the Meteor 66 is a high-tech workhorse of our regional fleet. Seating 84 passengers with 12 in UAT Plus, the Meteor 66 is a versatile, modern and comfortable addition to our fleet, and a point of pride for the Marinian nation.

    Image
  • 20x Embraer E-190 - A versatile medium range jet, the E-190 is modern, efficient and capable of operating from smaller airports easily. The Embraer 190 combines space with practicality, seating 12 in UAT plus, and 92 in Economy, whilst offering unparalleled flexibility.

Dear esteemed clients,

We are pleased to state that we accept both route applications.

UAT flight 8 to Reiki Yoshino International Airport (RYA) will commence on Thursday, with 6 weekly non-stop flights operated by the Boeing 787-9, although this may change according to demand.

Meanwhile, UAT flight 9 to Slottsberget Royal International (SLR) will commence on Friday, with 10 weekly flights. As this is a high demand, flagship route, the flight is to be operated by the Boeing 747-8. A stop for refuelling will be required, and will last roughly an hour.

Dear customer,

It appears we already applied for a flight to your airport, and it was approved. However, we could raise the frequency, if you’d like to tell us how frequent.

Dear honoured state,

We are delighted to announce that we accept your request for flights to your capital. UAT flight 10 to Kshatra will begin on Friday, with 14 non stop flights (7 return trips) made by the 747-8. The distance is long, however, refuelling will not be needed due to the long range of the newer -8 model.

Yours sincerely,

James Smith, Head of Operations, UAT Greater Marinian Airlines

OPC: the journey time is actually more like 7-8 hours, but as I conveniently haven’t given a map of the country in relation to other IRL nations, the mistake is quite understandable. You may also then change your choice of aircraft for the Airport thread.
