[The Astral Mandate]

Neri Virtanen's hands trembled as he signed the document- the one that would soon go down in Astral history as the infamous Foreign Affairs Act #1475. He knew that once he signed it, there was no going back to the way things were. The Rigel Pact, as he knew it, would be undone, never to see the light again. Then again, what did he- or anyone- stand to lose? It wasn't like the Pact had seen any activity in recent months, and many of its members had simply dropped off the face of the earth in that time. The Foreign Minister's tense hands drew the pen across the bottom of the page. The deal was done. The Rigel Pact would be destroyed, yes. But with that it would be reformed- as an age-old saying goes, like a phoenix rising from the ashes it would soar again! Indeed it would, so he hoped, and aspire to do far more than the original Pact ever had! This was the beginning of a new era-

And this era would change everything.

Like the previous Pact, we are still dedicated to peace for the world. In particular, we seek to depolarize II, a forum so often defined by large-scale rivalries that get dangerously heated at times. We will act to bring peace:

To conflict-torn areas of the world,
