Are Humans Animals?

Postby The Free American Republic » Thu Sep 28, 2023 9:47 am

So, obviously science (or at least what the world dreams as science) says that humans are animals. However some might argue that animals can’t feel or think on a human level. I for one think that humans and animals differ. Of course I’m aware of the same cell makeup and similarities but since I am Christian I believe that God set us apart from animals to be more special. I think that animals are important but aren’t the same as humans as they don’t have souls and can’t be saved. Nations of NS what do you think?

Coming from another Christian standpoint, all animals have souls, and WILL be saved. And yes, humans are animals, just more gifted.

Animals can feel, for one. "Animal" is just a living thing minus plants and eukaryotes and prokaryotes and a few other things. Humans are clearly distinct from the rest of the animals (maybe not literally but from a practical purpose). Maybe there should be a distinct word for "All animals besides humans". Maybe like Ananthrops or something, I'm not a linguist.

Humans have trascended as an specie to another level, now they're not only animals, but another category must be named, humans are they're own category, not animals.
The war made by the mad man Taboritsky and his mad search for a long death member of the Romanov family has devastated Russia, half of the population has been wipe out, but the Redeemed Black League lead by Aleksander Lazarenko is still alive! the Plan Hydra had managed to keep us alive, and now, after the New Unification, we are preparing for the Great Trial Against the teutons.
Remember.
THE GREAT TRIAL AWAITS!

Dreams as science? Tf you mean by that mate?

Plenty of non-humans have a fair bit of human-like intelligence (dolphins, chimps, parrots, octopi, etc) and many more display some pretty complicated behaviors (slime molds my beloved) when you'd really think they shouldn't.

There's no proper, concrete proof for the existence of a non-hypothetical "soul" as far as I'm aware, so... yes, humans are animals, specifically the most recent and only surviving species of the hominins (not hominids, there's more than one species of those), a bunch of mammals originating out of eastern and central Africa often defined by high intelligence, adaptability, opposable thumbs, and frequently extensive tool usage.

For that matter: since chimps at least can go to war, count, and use tools they should be taxable full citizens.

Most American christians believe in very contradictory ideas from both non-americans and other americans. This is mainly because the teaching of church doctrine was dedicated to individual churches instead of wide-spread ones like in Europe, and so every pastor or priest or what have you gets to teach it however they want. It's also, however, because American christians often make up "christian" beliefs instead of taking it from bibles or churches, etc. like in the rest of the world. I went to church for most of my life and we mostly sung gospel and watched the priest ramble about The Father instead of reading the bible and learning scripture.

The first part, sure, but the second part isn't really down to Protestantism. There's very little bible reading in the churches I went to, (Baptist, btw) its mostly just the pastor talking. I don't know if that's universal in the US though.

Yeah I go to a Baptist church which I agree the pastor doesn’t read loads of scripture but that’s usually just cause we focus on a few verses for the day. I’ve never been to other Baptist churches so I wouldn’t know how they do it.
