Dynamic Weapons Systems Drafting

Offering the fine services of the designers of DWS (a manufacturer of a variety of armored vehicles) to anyone who needs a special design for a special purpose.
Simply give us some parameters (size, number of barrels, anything within reason, really), and we will try our best to produce an armored vehicle to fit your needs.
Just allow 2-4 real time weeks for design. We may be able to assist in choosing a design if unsure of what you need.
We'll produce the first few for free to see if you like them, the designs will be handed over, and we'll tell you how much it costs to make one. DWS will help set up factories if needed, but we will only send some of our Engineering Corp troops.

Estimates for tank designs:

$20 million USD to design a main battle tank
$10 million USD to design a medium tank
$7.5 million USD to design a light tank
Note: This is supposed to represent years of development and research. Further price cuts may apply if it is similar to something worked upon before.


Superposed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superposed_load) rounds will cost $1 million USD (free for 90mm barrels, as that was already done for another project)
Full Spectrum Optics (nigh vision, thermal cameras, normal color, radiation pick-ups, and anything else you might think of) will cost $50,000 USD.
Anything else that is order will be listed here, or anything that is developed later on for Cyborgian armies.

Any money left over (aside from a small 10% of the original budget) will be returned to the customer.
Just remember, projects can go over budget.

Alright. I can base it off one of my existing chassis (which, lucky for you, I was retouching up the image).
All of my tanks can fire LAHAT type rounds, although it's not going to be as long as an actual LAHAT due to the length of the main gun for weight.

That will literally be the biggest tank ever built. Seriously, that's like twice as large as my biggest. If that's all you want, I can get a design to you in about a week. Is a 140mm with two breech loading mortars okay for the load out? I'll obviously have machine guns. Maybe add on rockets to the side or something. Lot of space. Gonna warn you though: it'll be an expensive machine.

Defensive Armament- 40 smoke grenades in 40 launchers

Note: The autocannon uses high explosive, low velocity rounds- meant as an anti-infantry/anti-light vehicle weapon. Can be loaded with other round types.

Armor: Aluminum/titanium alloy from the fine works of Cyborgia. Frontal armor thickness is 1 inches. Side and rear armor is .5 inch. Has non explosive reactive armor (NERA) and can be equipped with slat armor, although it interferes with aerial operations.

Note:
The tank uses three large parachutes with three smaller parachutes for stability. Dropped from low altitudes at low speeds, it's perfect for stealthy missions. Suspension can easily take the impact of the tank hitting the ground, and, if need be, a chute can fail and it will still survive at regular speed. It will be damaged, but the tank will still be operable. The crew is another matter.

Actually, the Hotspur fits all your needs except that it has no rockets. Wouldn't take to long. Have to mount them on the outside though, unless you want a dedicated rocket tank like the Soviets.

I'm going to need something a lot more specific. What sort of tank? How big, how fast? Any armament?

OOC: The idea was you could design whatever you liked and then pitch it to me. Basically I need a tank that is reasonably easy to maintain in the field, packs a punch and can move relatively quickly. I'd also like it to be a MBT capable of going toe to toe with the T-90, other than that I am completely open to anything you design. Think of it as a way to showcase all of your creative goodness.

Alrighty. I can get you something that can take on a T-90 quite easily. Maintenance won't be that much of a problem if I change out the suspension, as the hydro-pneumatic is a fairly maintenance heavy suspension. Definitely not field maintainable. Cut down on speed, though.

I do land vehicles. Only tanks have been ordered so far, and that's what I tend to do for my storefront, as they look cool and are easier to build out of plastic with only a picture and some lengths.
