It all began with a vision of democracy, of self-governance, and of liberation from what many perceived as the heavy hand of the EFU's central government. The people of Great Britain yearned for self-determination and the power to chart their own course. The EFU had always maintained a tight grip on its member states, with centralized authority and authoritarian tendencies. This revolution sent shivers down the Grand Consortian's spine when he heard them. He immediatelly invoked an emergency war cabinet and discussed ppssibilities among the members.

MoD: The EFU is a tyrranical regime which stands against everything we believe in! It was your fault that you choose to ally with them in the first place. Now they can just invoke the Entente Triet and bring us and Redwood into their war.

GC: I know, but they are still members of the CSL. We have an obligation to help them.

Assistant-Defence Minister: What I propose is that we send a carrier strike group along with some marines for now, and do not send any tanks or infantry for now. We just want to asses the situation.

GC: Only one carrier group would do nothing. I suggest we send two strike groups, one corvette flotilla to protect trade and 5.000 heavy infantry units to garrison their capital

MoD: You remember what happened the last time we supported the EFU don't you? The entire international community attacked us! We don't want that to happen again.

GC: This time it's different. This is not just some trade crisis. It's a civil war in which hundreds of thousands could die. I'm making the call. We will send two Carrier Strike Groups, 20 corvettes and 5.000 heavy infantry. This meeting is over!

The men walked out of the chamber. As soon as the Grand Consortian gave the order, the two strike groups and the corvette flotilla departed, as they were on standby, and the infantry units began loading onto troopships. It was going to be a long journey, but it would be to help an ally.

Meanwhile deep within the Houses of Parliament in the Great British and Irelandian capital the House of Lords were enraged at Britains naivety that the plan would actually work. They had watched to many countries fall to Cameron’s scam and they were determined to stop it once and for all…

In response to the decleration of independance, the EFUs government orderes a partial mobilisation of its forces and officaly declares war on the seperatist state in a official statment given to the situation:

"Lads and gents, today I came here to inform you that terrorists have begun a rebellion against the Union and its values and begun a success once again causing secession and fractionalism in a Europe that has never been as peaceful as now. This act of obvious secession and terrorism will not go on unpunished; we will reintegrate the state of Great Britain and find everyone who took part in this rebellion. Everyone will receive their proper punishment to prevent any situation like this from happening again in Great Britain or any other state. But as the separatists are an unorganized mess, we were still able to withdraw most of our naval vessels and aircraft that were based on the islands. Additionally,  we can already now report of large-scale resistance in the western parts of the island of Ireland, in which also the EFU's occupation defense structure has begun to organize and prepare a de-centralized network of partisan groups that will soon begin to assist the Federal Government in retaking control over the temporarily occupied Republic of Great Britain. We will not be taking this lightly, as our naval forces have already begun to assume positions preparing for direct combat operations against the British rebels, and additional airfields in the region have been prepared to host additional aircraft. Our forces will soon begin their operations and forcefully reintegrate the rebels into the EFU. Thank you for your time, and may God be with us."


Following this statement by the EFU, the British initiated their own force mobilization. Excluding everything the EFU's central government managed to withdraw, the British Self-Defense Force and the armed forces of the new Republic were still a large and capable fighting force, fueled by the fairly large industrial capacity of the British 6 trillion NSD GDP and its 120 million population. Having a fairly large pool of skilled reservists to feed on, the British Self-Defense Forces were able to grow in size from their 120.000-man States Guard to a full volunteer force of 700.000 men, mostly former EFAF conscripts or reservists. Having captured a lot of modern gear of the EFAF, the British Self-Defense Forces were able to mobilize a large force of ground hardware, including 1.200 MBTs, 1.600 IFVs, 2.000 APCs, 400 SPHs, 300 towed howitzers, and a total of 80 GMLRSs systems. To defend its airspace, the British Self-Defense Force was able to field a total of 40 Eurofighters and 180 Tempest fighter jets; alongside to them stood 18 early-model S-400UA sites. With a large, well-equipped modern force alongside a motivated population willing to give their lives for democracy and freedom, the new British republic was prepared and is still preparing to secure its possession and independence from the EFU.

The Carrier groups finally arrived and were 20 kilometers off the city of Dover. The mission was to launch and air raid on a separatist base near Dover and retreat as quickly as possible. Everyone was aware of the power the separatist air force. For this mission 5 F/A 18s fitted with Air-to-surface missles were readied on the aircraft carrier "Rennes". The plan was to stay above the clouds and try to avoid enemy radars for as long as possible before launching the missles at close range, and then getting out of there as fast as possible. The aircraft were coated with a thin layer of carbon nanotubes, which absorbed radio waves from radars really well. The aircraft would also begin pulse jamming when they got withing 5 km of the base so that they stay hidden for as long as possible. Finally it was time. The 5 planes took off one by one from the aircraft carrier and climbed to 35.000 feet.

The arrival of such a large fleet formation so close to the British coastline did not go unnoticed; additionally,  the proximity Dover holds to the EFU mainland meant that the forces of the Consortium were forced to face off against more numerous defenses, making their case a rough task. But the thing that played the biggest pride was the presence of carriers just off the British shores; prime targets, bassicaly on a silver plate, served the British. The F/A-18s, while coated in radar-absorbing material, still carried the problems of their external weapons mounts and the weapons carried on them, which provided a return large enough for the military radars to detect the aircraft as soon as they crossed over the ocean above the British mainland. The fact that the aircraft chose to fly high made their case even harder, as they were unable to benefit from the radar horizon.

Preparing for the interception, a group of 8 Tempests are dispatched from the London International Airport, heading to engage the F/A-18s. Flying at a similar altitude, they used their advantage of stealth and did not choose to engage them directly, instead waiting at first. As the Tempests approached the aircraft, 1 regional S-400UA site opened up, aiming 2 interceptor missiles at each F/A 18. Timed to approche once the missiles began to engage the F/A-18s, the Tempests would join the fight, striking them in two interception waves of each 4 aircraft.

At the same time, the ground forces began to engage the fleet, chosen as prime target was the carrier as the skinking if not that, at least the forced withdrawal of the carrier so early on would be an incredible win for the British. The first waves of strikes came from the artillery forces, as 20 SPHs began to open fire on the carriers airdeck. With each having 10 155mm shells stored internally, they could rapidly fire 200 shells before pulling back and retreating, thus greatly reducing potential casualties from the operation. Now using guided shells with GPS guidance provided by the Socialist Republic of Mexico, the howitzers fired a first wave of 40 fragmentation shells aiming all across the carrier's airwing. While not effective at damaging the carrier's softer targets, such as onboard aircraft and crew, would be in risk of the shrapnels. Righ after deleting all of their fragmentation shells, the howitzers once again began to rain down shells, this time using guided HE rounds, with would offer increased damage and help in disrupting carrier operations.

Now striking back with the actual anti-ship means, 6 Eurofighters took off heading toward the strike group. Being equipped with anti-ship variants of Taurus, they would unleash each 2 cruise missiles at roughly 400kms distance before scrambling back into the range of their air defense assats, and into a formation of 6 Tempest escorts. To complete the raid on the carrier, the ground forces would launch another attack wave this time by mobile anti-ship missiles, this time using 3 trucks carring each 2 anti ship Taurus missiles fired from the northern suburbs from Dover targeting the same carrier as the previous attacks.

The F/A 18s began high-G turns and deployed chass to counter the missles. Shot from the ground. It appeared that the mission had to be aborted. The 8 Tempests were also proving much of a challenge as the F/A 18s had been fitted with very heavy air to ground missles which reduced mobility. Even though the original plan was to launch the missles at very short range they had to be deployed right now. 5 heavy air to ground missles going at mach .6 were launched at the target base near Dover from 8 km. The F/A 18s then began fighting the tempests, but not before two were shot down. The remaining three desperately made high-G turns and launched AA missles in a frenzy at the enemy Tempests before trying to make a run for it.

At the carrier strike group three corvettes moved in to screen the carrier with the destroyers and frigates forminf ranks to act as a shield against missles. The destroyers launched AA missles and Phalanxes could be heard everywhere. The new formation managed to gain some control over the situation, but not before 5 shells hit the carrier. Two of them hit the flight deck and damaged three F16s, killing 10 crew members because of the shrapnel. Because the flight deck was damaged only the F35s were able to deploy in VTOL mode. 6 F35s were launched to intercept the Eurofighters. They were flying in a V formayion and launched MBDA Meteors at each of the raiding aircraft, one per plane.

They would also consider staying neutral during the period of the Revolution, maybe they could snatch up their Homeland? currently, the Vorrilic Government and Royal Family is in a really heated debate on what to do with the situation:

Ever so Royal Loyal King: Gaining back Italia is good and all, but I dont think we should really affect the Balance of power here, the EFU is single-handedly uniting the war-torn Europe which started 2 global wars which led to the creation of the Nuclear Bomb, if we don't want to witness more tragedies such as Nagasaki and Hiroshima, then maybe we should align ourselves with the EFU.

The F35s sent to intercept the Eurofighters were pulled back and the entire fleet began moving. The carrier remained screened by frigates and destroyers as it retreated. C-rams were still active and air defence systems were continuously firing. This would be known to history as a lost battle.

In a final response destined to take out TGEC carrier, the Seperatists once again opened up a attack wave while they were still in range. At first the artillery force once again opened up fire, but this time fielding a diffirent ammunition mixture. Instead of using HE and fragmentation shells, this time they used 60 Napalm shells and another 140 shells with a airployable decoy, this time fireing at a higher arc aiming to shoot above the escorts infront of the carrier. And as soon as the decoys would open up another load of 20 Anti ship Taurus would be fired from truck platforms aiming all strait for the previously attacked carrier, flying low to use the radar horizon and to strike its waterline.

Standing in a large black room is Feldmarschal Maho Nishizum. Being the commander of the 3rd Territorial Tank Army, she gained a reputation as a brutally effective commander following her successes in the Battle for Bryasnk, which also gave her the special titel "The Butcher of Bryasnk". In the room, she stood looking at a large-scale map of the EFU. Using the benefits of the VR-digital control room, she zoomed onto Great Britain, but suddenly the simulation gave out a warning, informing her about the ongoing firefight in the Dover region. She zoomed in on the battle and checked the most recent reports. The situation seemed critical; the support forces sent by TGEC were heavily damaged by artillery fire and forced to withdraw from the region. Suddently, another person entered the room; it was an intelligence officer stationed in Calais. Even though he was over 800 kilometers away, he was still able to contact Maho without any problems and start a face-to-face conversation with her through the VR system.

The officer stood in front of her, looking like an unfinished hologram, especially with his legs and feet bairly visible, but this didn't matter as he was just there to report. "Mám, I'm here to report the most recent information about the ongoing incident. From what we could find out until now, the fleet of TGEC approached the British city of Dover up to about 20 kilometers with an entire carrier strike group. This was rapidly met by a reaction of the Seperatists as they used the proximity of the ships to strike them with conventional artillery." After finishing, he takes control of the map, zooming onto Dover and creating a rough map of the fleet and the estimated fire locations of the artillery. After finishing, he zooms a bit out and moves the map deeper into Great Britain before marking another area. "According to our reconnaissance roughly from right here, at least 8 ground-based A2A missiles have been fired from the Seperatists. We assume that TGEC forces were trying to launch some kind of range deeper into Seperatist territory. Considering all of this, what will be your response?" The officer again takes over the map and begins to set markers showing the positions of EFU units in the region, as well as opening a side tab next to the map showing the most recent reports and activities.

Following this meeting the EFU response with a orginised counter attack against the Seperatists. At first the goal of the EFAF was to cover the retreat of TGECs fleet, considering the heavy losses and damages endured the fleet moved slowly thus they would need to be covered against further attacks by artillery or orther systems. At first a smol fleet of roughly 8 air-defense frigates and another 4 GM-destroyers was mobilised roughly 100kms away from Dover, this fleet would be waiting until the forces of the Consortium arrivied and then escort the entire fleet back to Willhelmshaven military shipyard, once there TGEC fleet would be waiting for shipments of spareparts and be repaired and replenished. To cover the retreat of TGECs fleet, the EFU mobilised a local unit of its heavy 300mm GMLRS wich begins to stand gaurd for counter battery missions across the straits all around the Dover region to cover the retreating fleet from further artillery fire.

But as the rebels previously reveled the possition of one of their S-400UA sites, the EFAF would be quick to capitilise on the opotunity pressented to them. Ordered on a rapid reaction mission the EFAF launched a flight of 20 ME-35s from airfields all acorss France, as they previously recivied information about a suspected location wich was later on supported by a sattelite image of that region. The aircraft approched the site on up to roughly 200kms before starting to engage, the first 4 ME-35s opened up and launched each 8 anti radion missiles which locked onto the radars racing torwards them. While the anti radiation missiles were still in air, local GM-Destroyers begun to launch a strike volley of 24 SCM-4 cruise missiles with cluster ammunition to additonaly destry the sites launchers.

Fire was everywhere. The entire flight deck was on fire, and there were very little chances for the very sturdy aircraft carrier. The commander of the strike group ordered the escoet to retreat without the carrier, as the situation was hopeless.

Pieces of the ship began falling off, and finally the order was given to absndon ship. Men were loaded onto the V22s and F35s that could take off VTOL, as the flight deck was out of action. 1.000 men had already died, and the rest were scrambling to the nearest escape method. Every escape boat was launched and 2.000 men managed to escape death. The captain escaped last on a V22 Osprey with the bridge crew and ordered the other survivors to proceed at max speed towards Wilhelmshaven.

Meanwhile the aircraft carrier, burning and being torn apart by structural damage, was still floating as all the bulkheads had automatically sealed and the island became airtight, but there was no one on board anymore. The ship had done its duty, and it would now be lost due to the foolishness and incompetence of the commander.

After the recent operational failures that endded up in the destruction of two carriers, one from each, the EFU and TGEC, the EFU was quick to change up strategy as approaching the the closer British, mainly navaly, would prove a difficult task due to their artillery and vast stockpiles of maritime kamikaze drones. Going in for a diffirent approche, the EFU begins launches a new campaign across the channel, this timed focused around aircraft. Following this chage of approach, the EFU begins to launch daily attacks from French airports using large combat formations of 20-40 aircraft. Being mainly focused on air to air combat, those aircraft would carry a heavy weigh on fighitng and competing against the British airforce, with another focus on SEAD missions the formations would keep a small group of dedicated SEAD aircraft in their center to revel themselves once a hostile air defense site has been found and the surroundings allow for a safe engagement with it.

As the supporting fleet sent by TGEC reached the safety of the EFU's Willhelmshaven military shipyard, the forces previously used to defend the fleet and cover its retreat from further artillery fire were now able to conduct their actual mission, which was the Siege of London. Timed perfectly around 18:00, hundreds of 300mm GMLRS systems opened up fire aiming at London. Being the early extended range version, they were able to reach into its suburbs and large portions of its city center, giving them plenty of targets. Protecting the GMLRS systems was a large fleet of mobile howitzers, both using the 155mm caliber but mostly either SPHs or truck-mounted ones, with a small force of towed howitzers spread among their ranks to increase their number and regional pressence. stationed along the main fire positions, they were prepared as they have been supported by mobile counter-battery radars and the presence of strike aircraft, which were able to be mobilized after the destruction of the southern London S-400UA site.

As a few minutes later, the missiles landed in London, causing havoc on the local population. Being unprepared, mostly people who were just trying to get home were hit. Starting slowly but ramping up within seconds, a series of explosions were reported in the city, but as fast as they continued, they had already stopped while the chaos in the city seemed to be far from over as fires and emergency services were still everywhere. Making their job harder were the hundreds of destroyed cars and dozens of roadblocks created by debree, which blocked parts of the streets and reduced the mobility of the emergency services. roughly half an hour after the first strike ended, most people that managed to get into a bunker or subway station began to exit them. Slowly,  more and more people descended from the dark into the opon of a city in full chaos. But as this was not the end, now the reloaded GMLRS systems have once again unleashed volleys of missiles aimed at London. This strike had a much harder impact than the first one, as missiles were hitting and disrupting operations by emergency services, reducing their capacity and increasing the damage in the city. Those two strikes had a big impact on the city of London. Many people in the new British state were shocked by the retaliation of the EFU, while higher-ups in its military had already begun to redirect additional support means to the city prior to the attack, but as they also feared the use of chemicals, they began to spread out and give out more gas masks to the population.

The past days have been harsh for the Consortian intervention force. The aircraft carrier has been sunk and 60 aircraft were lost, along with thousands of men. The survivors now regroup in Wilhelmshaven to discuss the next mission. It is known that the EFU has launched a siege on London, and the plan is to support the ally in any way possible. A plan was devised to regain Consortian might.

The plan was to send two Freedom-class missle corvettes, which survived the attack, within 200 km of the British eastern coast equip them with Taurus KEPD 350 missles, about 15 of them, and launch them at strategic military positions in London. Alongside this 10 F35s would be equipped with AGMs and would be sent to conduct an air raid on London. They would fly at 30.000 feet for most of the journey and would descend rapidly to 5.000 feet when they entered British airspace, going as fast as they can and maintaining radio silence. All of their weapons would be stored internally and EM activity would be very reduced. With the plan in place the corvettes departed and the F35s took off from Wilhelmshaven, all wishing to restore Consortian glory.

2 Charles de Gaulle-Class supercarriers (the Federation's version of the Ford-class supercarrier), 2 Southhampton-class guided missile cruisers, 4 Athens-Class guided missile destroyers, 4 Windsor-class ASW destroyers, 2 Churchill-class SSNs and 3 Somme-Class LHA type amphibious assault ships (Licensed-copy of the America-Class amphibious assault ship used by the United States.) emerge from the Arctic Ocean 150 miles north of the British Isles on a course that will take the Carrier Strike Group within 130 miles of Edinburgh. While the European Federation is supporting the British, President Potter believes that a show of force is needed to make the EFU and their hesitant about launching further attacks on Scotland. On board the two carriers are the Federation's newest 5th Gen multi-purpose stealth aircraft called the Eurofighter Hailstorm, F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, E-2C AWACS and the MQ-20 Typhoon Stealth UCAV. 2 E-2C AWACS were launched to help detect any aircraft approaching the strike group.

The 10 F35s entered british airspace, lowered to 5000 feet and accelerated to Mach 1.2, taking advantage of the denser air to power their air-breathing engines. They knew that this would alert everyone because of the immense volume of the sonic boom, but their idea is that speed is life insurance. The aircraft launched the first wave of Taurus missles, 3 of them, from 80 km to London. The missles' target was a separatis munitions depot in London. They were guided by sattelite. After the missles were launched the planes changed course to ensure that they would not be detected if the missles' trajectory was traced back.

North sea

The two missle corvettes were in place, 400 km from London. Their plan was to launch volleys of P-500 Bazalts at more important targets in the city. The target in question was a British fortification in London which could trouble the EFU forces.

A silo on the deck of the decks of the two ships opened and out of them came 4 cruise missles, which blasted off at high speeds. They immediatelly dissapeared from visual range and entered cruise.
