Description:

• It is basically the Artorian Language, since Artorian are German Aqua who immigrate from the German region or England in approximately 10 - 15 century, which is a similar situation between Dutch and Afrikaan. Though, the grammar and vocabulary is heavily influenced by the Aqua language, which is a Romance language heavily influenced by Finnish and other Uralic languages.
  
  For example, suffixes become more fixed and agglutinative, like the -en suffix being a fixed suffix for adjective. Some words are also replaced by the Aqua vocabulary, like Station are more often referred as "Asemal".
  
  During the North-South Division Period, Artoria was a part of the South Aquaria under Kajetan Kocurek's rule. The regime started a large genocide against the Artorian population, which resulted in a death toll of almost 7/9 of the Artorian ethnic. The Artorian language, with its user, faced a severe decline.
  
  Since 1980 after the reunification, as a part of general Oliver Harjula's condition to reunify with the Aquaria and discontinue the separatist movement, the communist government started a campaign to preserve and protect the Artorian culture, which includes the revive of Artorian language.

[Venedia]

Status of German (Languages):

Legal and recognised as a minority language within Venedia, especially in the Polabia region, which has a notable German minority population.

Dialects:

Germans in Venedia generally speak dialects heavily influenced by Venedian, a Lechitic language derived from Polabian. These dialects are typically derived from Low Saxon and East Central German dialects, specifically Old Eastphalian and Old Thuringian. Venedian-influenced dialects are typically called Ventduits, 'Wend-German', by inhabitants of neighbouring Duitslant.

Description:

Varieties of German have been spoken in Venedian lands since time immemorial. German-speaking communities are reported to have existed even prior to eastern German settlement in the early and mid-Middle Ages. German became more widely spoken as German speakers settled throughout the region throughout the Middle Ages, with greater frequency of settlement occurring in the early to middle Renaissance as Venedian lords brought in German expertise and craftsmen. German became an urban language of German bankers, professionals, and merchants throughout Venedia. The totalitarian regime that ruled Venedia for some three decades in the mid-20th century heavily impacted German language in the country as it was suppressed and most Venedian Germans were required to use Venedian over their native German. The programme to reduce German speech in Venedia saw significant progress in the Interior and northeastern regions, but not as much progress was made in Polabia due to the concentration of German speaking communities.

In the modern day, German speech is common to hear in Venedia’s western provinces, though it is on the decline as more Venedian Germans switch entirely to Standard Venedian. German has a mediocre future of slow decline in Venedia, but proximity to Duitslant is likely to create new generations of bilingual people as migration between the two countries grows.

Status of German: Not official, since the Principality doesn't have any standardized language. However, most people solely speak German (or at least something resembling it) and nothing else, so it is de facto official. Diplomacy and foreign affairs are usually conducted in French or English.

Dialect: Alzatian is closest to the southern/western dialects of German, such as Swabian (Schwäbisch), Bavarian (Bairisch) or Swiss-German.

Description: There isn't a standard writing system for Alzatian, as it's a loose group of dialects rather than a single language. The most common transcription system uses letters as they're pronounced in French, not standard German. As a result:

• /f/ is written as f, rather than v. Example: Fater (father)
• /s/ is written as ç or ss, rather than ß. Example: Elsàç (Alzatia)
• /v/ is written as v, rather than w. Example: Veroniek
• ai instead of ei

In addition, grammar is much simpler than standard German, with very little conjugation or cases, and there are many borrowed French words such as merci (thank you) and Mademoiselle (miss), which aren't present in the standard language.

• Description: In our timeline, the USSR extended to Germany at its westernmost point in Europe. As the Soviets rose to power on Mars, the majority of West European settlers of Mars were German. Most descendants of German settlers continue to speak German within their communities and German is offered as an option in secondary school language courses. Road signs in areas with a significant German population will feature German text and most official documents and forms are offered in German as well.

Minority Language — Only 7.1% of Sakaijin are Rinderstadter and 3.2% of Sakaijin are Gebrueller, the Yomese Empire’s foremost Germanic nations.

Dialects:

Pinzgauer, Tierparker, Berliner, and South Bavarian

Description:

When the demons of the Yomese Empire set out on their cultural expeditions, the cow demons were sent to Austria and the large cat demons were sent to Germany. Upon the expeditions’ returns, they had brought back the cultures of those countries with them, including Berliner German and South Bavarian Austrian. Over the years, these dialects within the empire blended with Japanese to create the unique combinations of Pinzgauer Austrian / Pintsugawa Japanese and Tierparker German / Chīgaten Japanese. They are listed in this alternating manner since which it gets called depends on whether the speaker uses more Japanese or more German in their language. Unlike some other dialects in Yomi, these are mostly written only in Romaji. Germanic and Japanese languages are not readily compatible, and so to use kana would lose information and page space for little gain. While these dialects are more common when spoken, regular human dialects are also sometimes used in writing to avoid any possible confusion. All of these dialects are common in their native countries, but in Sakai, Kanto Japanese is still the official language.

German itself is rarely spoken as a first language, and is relatively uncommon as a second language compared to such languages as French, Spanish, and British English.

Noted minority language in: Baltic Autonomies (Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian) and Saratov Governorate.

Baltic Autonomies : Standard German (most speakers in this region are of historically high-class background and thus value prescriptive education in the Standard more strongly than many successful German citizens).
Saratov Governerate: Volga German (Descended mostly from Westmitteldeutsch, with variant secondary influences.)


Description:
The Baltic region had been under the political control of German Nobles and Crusaders for much of history before the region came under Swedish and Polish Control, followed by Russian Control. However, the German Nobility remained an institution of the region. Land Reform during the Nationalist period (1917-1942) followed by migrations around the end of World War 2 decreased their number in the region considerably, but a core of them remain.

Meanwhile, the situation of the Volga Germans is different: Most arrived in the late 1700s during and shortly after the reign of Catherine II. Most were primarily economic migrants invited to farm the less populated regions of Southern Russia, rather than complete refugees. However, many migrants were of a different religion than their local prince in germany, Catholics (the majority) from Protestant regions, Mainstream Protestants from Catholic Regions, and Mennonites (The second highest percentage of Volga Germans) from either.

[*]Description: In the end of the First World War, Jilia used to be a German Colony, and the Colony supported the German Empire until the Empire itself collapsed, so, the amount of German immigrants to Jilia had a mild boom, most of them were particularly loyal to the old Empire

• Description: Small population of <150 native speakers of Austro-Hungarian descent. German is a common tourist language.

[The Frozen Forest]

[*]Description: German as a language group is uncommon in The Frozen Forest. While TFF's official language is a derivative of Norse, modern German exists only in isolated German immigrant communities.

[Safiloa]

[*]Dialect: An expatriate community exists of less than 300 individuals, however historically a Sudeten German-derived dialect was spoken by a Taborite refugee communal town located on the main island.
[*]Description: The historical Sudeten German community has since been ethnically and religiously fully integrated into Sokhainean culture (the dominant urbanized culture of Safiloa), but their agriculturalist town of "Prokopa" still exhibits German and Bohemian architectural and artistic influences. Nowadays, all German speakers are recently arrived expatriates from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. There is a small upscale Dutch-curriculum-based International School located in the capital Ponaiga, and they offer German as one of their "foreign language" options in the Middle and High School grades. It is not an uncommon language spoken by visiting tourists though.
