The First Santoak International agricultural convention seeks to be a meeting of the brightest minds in the field of agriculture and primary product foodstuff creation to present new technologies that seek to change the field as we see it. The convention will include presentations and workshops on a wide range of topics, including innovative farming practices, the latest developments in agricultural technology, and new approaches to food security. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other professionals in the industry and learn about new products and services that can be used to improve food production. As it is well known Santoak is seeking new technologies to improve her agricultural output in the long term for multiple generations. Our population is growing rapidly on our island nation with 214.5 Million expected to rapidly rise to 250 million by 2050. While Santoak does have a robust agriculture sector we still are only able to produce enough food for 75% of our population requiring imports to make up the difference. Santoak aims to be completely food self-sufficient being able to produce enough domestically to feed 95% of our population by 2050. As a result at this convention community leaders and ministry specialists will be present to examine the products and innovations on display. We are particularly interested in firms that specialize in sustainable agriculture, precision farming, and innovative food production methods that use minimal land area. If our experts find products worth consideration, contracts, technology exchanges, and much more will be placed on the table for a deal that will benefit all parties involved. The convention will be held at the Tokyo-2 International Forum Center. Transportation for products and goods will be provided free of import tax and bureaucratic red tape within reason. Portals of entry we encourage to be used are Haneda Airport and Port of Tokyo. Arrivals will be provided with special terminals for entry to ensure maximum comfort and minimal hassle. We greet the proposal of the Socialist Principality of Santoak, regarding a proposed Agricultural Convention, with eagerness. As an archipelagic nation with a booming metropolitan population of similar size, we face the same challenges the Socialist Principality, as much of our tracts of prime arable land have been devastated by the Industrial Revolution(s) as well as ballooning urban growth. Regrettably, we cannot simply generate more: this is the challenge we, as nations of similar geography, must take up against all odds.

It is also unacceptable to our government and for all practicality that we remain net food importers; as insecure as our region is, it cannot be understated that an interruption of food imports of even 10% or more would be disastrous. Food security is everyone's concern, and it has far-reaching impacts: from child and infant mortality to simple happiness. Solving this insecurity problem is, therefore, one of the greatest challenges we as human beings can tackle - and it is one the Empire takes with stride.

Going forward, we feel, despite our likely conflicting economic systems, that the Empire of Magica and any delegation it sends is well-positioned to both be a valuable contributor to this Conference as well as to learn much from it; therefore we have endeavored to take up the Socialist Principality's invitation. We shall, at once, upon approval of your nation's government to our proposal of a delegation, submit identity documents for all participants involved as well as a manifest of cargo.

I shall, if the Principality allows, accompany our delegation to this Convention as well; I would entrust my personal security to your government's good offices. I do hope this would be agreed upon, as it would be a great honor to myself, but it would be understandable, thus, if it were not.

Besides," he pointed out, "This is a sound idea on the surface, and it gets better when you consider we could market our exotic goods to a wider world, to say nothing of the mere act of learning."

The Minister-Paramount folded his arms. "This isn't a good idea-" Arthur cut in. "Socialist, communist, democratic, capitalist, we are all human beings and our lot in life, among death, taxes, and misery are the need to eat and drink. The Grand Duchy of Japuile has sent the necessary documents that outline the necessary personnel and equipment that will be consumed in the preparation of two symposiums, one more technical with the results of ongoing research, and the other more futuristic and simulated with the help of artificial intelligence and several supercomputers.

Technical Symposium

The Technical Symposium is a slightly smaller stage than the Future Symposium, but contains a different theme. The theme of greenery and nature. The stage is constructed of biodegradable bioplastic, which is painted green and white. The seats are ergonomic and flexible to accommodate the needs of each symposium participant. Flowers and other plants are set up on the stage in strategic places so that they don't get in the way too much, but are a nice part of the environment.
