that would be like exploding a bomb inside of your tank barrel if you barrel can resist this it must have a stronger amour then your tanks hull thus making it alon weight a couple dozen tons and also while shoting your tank gun would be completely dislocated and probably crashing straight into your ammunition storage.

materials have their limits and you tank is bound to go off if you have a bomb inside of your main gun

It doesn't go off inside the main gun... if that's how it works tanks wouldn't exist. The shell has a timing thing that basically is triggered .01 seconds after being fired, so it will only explode after being shot. The timer lasts 0.09 seconds.
