Lieutenant Colonel Ridgely was in full combat gear himself, sat in a dugout covered by a tarp looking over a map of Sapporo. Radios were active intermittently about him, and as the Japanese officer entered the hut, he and the five other Marines manning the station- including Chester - gave him a look.
Ridgely wasn't familiar with the man, but he was with the rank, and offered the Japanese officer a handshake. Not sure how familiar the man was with English, he would have a translator on hand nearby to communicate- that being Chester.
"Colonel- welcome. We've heard there's been some disturbances in Tokyo- accept our condolences. Seeing as it's just you out here, I believe it's safe to assume that we aren't suddenly unwelcome in your country. What do you have for us?"

We deeply mourn the series of terrorist attacks in Japan. Terrorism cannot be justified under any circumstances. We hope that the people behind the terror will be arrested and justice will be served.
However, we have no choice but to express concern about the recent moves of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. Even though there is already a judicial body called the Japanese police, trying to declare martial law without foundation in the Constitution just because a terrorist attack occurred is an act that puts democracy at risk. We do not want democracy in one of the democracies in Asia to be jeopardized.
Of course, we are well aware that the security situation in Asia in the multiverse has recently been compromised. Expanding the capabilities of military organizations such as the military and the Self-Defense Forces is an inevitable factor in saving countries facing a security crisis.
But we believe that there is a dangerous perception within Japan's Self-Defense Forces to justify Japan's colonial rule and imperialism in the past, and a perception of racism toward its neighbors, given recent remarks by Toshio Tamogami, a general of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. Peace in Asia could once again be at stake if such an organization takes enormous power. We hope that Japan in the multiverse will not repeat the same mistakes as it did in the past. Imperialism and colonial rule are unjustifiable crimes. We want Japanese politicians to uphold the principles of democracy and peace.

Grand Duke Casimir I, along with his family, left the capital city of Artane for a seaside residence, where the wind was much cooler and more pleasant than the hustle and bustle of the city. For the children, it meant seaside activities such as building sandcastles and learning to surf, for his wife, an opportunity to rest from cosmetics and skin regeneration, and for Grand Duke Casimir I himself, a more enjoyable place to work.
He attended online meetings, signed virtual documents with a special device, read reports and news from around the world from a comfortable armchair, when he received a sudden request for a conversation from the Chancellor of Foreign Affairs, which he accepted without hesitation.
Grand Duke Casimir I leaned back in his chair, looking into the eyes of the stressed Chancellor. "What's happening, Chancellor Mainard Larue? I've signed everything you sent me. I checked all the documents twice."
"Yes, yes, Your Grand Majesty, I just received them a moment ago, but a few days ago, some things happened that leave us with no time to lose! Japan, one of our diplomatic, technological, and trade contacts, is going through an economic crisis that has turned into a political crisis! We have to start reacting somehow before it's too late," the Chancellor calmed down after releasing his emotions, as he still had a few things to prepare before issuing a statement. "I'm contacting a few people right now."
"Yes, we need to act before this crisis spreads to other countries. Please give me the contact information of our ambassador in Korea; we need to start some joint action."
"Of course, Your Grand Majesty. I'm sending it right away."Ambassador Lothaire Babin
Dear Right Honourable Jeong Dohyung,
We hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. We, the Grand Duchy of Japuile, are deeply concerned about the current economic and political situation in Japan. In this regard, we would like to humbly propose a joint political and economic action plan to mitigate the negative effects of this unstable situation and prevent its spread to other countries.
We firmly believe that by working together, we can achieve more than we can individually. Our joint efforts will have a greater impact and possibility of success. We understand that the Grand Duchy of Japuile does not have a large army or navy, but we would like to assure you that we are willing to provide our contacts and influence to help stabilize Japan.
Furthermore, we would like to express our readiness to support Korean security during this difficult period. We are willing to send our small fleet of battleships to protect the Korean coast, or provide any other assistance that may be required.
We sincerely hope that you will consider our proposal and look forward to working with you to achieve our mutual goals.
Respectfully,
Lothaire Babin,
Ambassador of The Grand Duchy of Japuile

Dear Ambassador Lothaire Babin.
We thank the Grand Duchy of Japuile for its thoughtfulness. Like The Grand Duchy of Japuile, we are deeply concerned about the current political situation in Japan. Terrorist attacks are obviously terrible violence that cannot be justified. But we're convinced that there's a force inside Japan that's trying to take advantage of that chaos to strengthen its power. And that force doesn't seem to fit the values of democracy or peace.
We agree that there is a need for political and economic action jointly with The Grand Duchy of Japuile. If the two countries jointly form a consultative body and work closely together, they will be able to better defend peace and security in the East Asian region.
We are also willing to conduct joint military exercises with The Grand Duchy of Japuile's fleet. If the two countries conduct military exercises together, they will be able to facilitate military cooperation between the two countries and strengthen their defense of the stability of Korea and East Asia.
Thank you very much for deciding to join us in this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Jeong Dohyung
Prime Minister of the Great Kingdom of Joseon

Your cell phones have been loaded with secondary SIM cards for service in Japanl and have been outfitted with tracking systems. Your laptops have also been outfitted with hidden secondary SSD chips within the internal SSD and locked it behind a VPN access required remote command access for intel exchanges. Your service weapons have been secured in the hold and have been pre-screened by Japanese customs and the documentation for access and use has already been submitted. You should hear whether or not that request was granted when you arrive. The armor will be waiting for you at your hotel when you arrive. Someone from the Japanese Security apparatus should be meeting you when you arrive as well... Good luck you guys.
Ryuski glanced over the travel itinerary and took a picture of it before throwing it in the trash, Katsumura followed suit. After a few more handshakes the two agents made for the aircraft and began to embark when another man called out to Ryuski causing him to turn back and meet the new man. Katsumura couldnt hear the conversation from where she was because of the sound of the engines spinning up, but she waited and watched until Ryuski took a file from the stranger read it and handed it back and returned to Katsurmua where she gave him a side eye as he walked past her and took his seat. Kat turned about and took her seat as well. The air had changed slightly; Ryuski seemed distracted. The cabin door was closed, and the whine of the jet engines spun up and the craft started to taxi onto the runway.
No words were exchanged as the craft took to the sky. Ryuski wasn't a very talkative person to begin with, so it wasn't wholly unexpected.
We should reach Japanese airspace in 8 hours. announced the pilot as the cabin lights dim.
OOC: Japan if you need to you can take limited control of my agents arrival to speed things up.

"Exarkyon condemns the recent terrorist attacks in Japan. We are concerned for fifty of our citizens who, as a group, went to Japan and are currently unable to leave. We ask that the Japanese government allow our citizens to return to their homeland. We, as the Holy Empire of Exarkyon, are willing to provide our own vehicles for transporting them home if Japan declines to allow private transportation to be employed."

• • • Ministry of International Communications • • • Fort Kalinka • Kalingrad City Under the Office of the People's Marshal, the Janpian Union of Government Worker's Party, the sole vanguard representation of the Janpian Union of Revolutionary States, has stated its concern to the growing unrest on to the Japanese state, following the recent explosion at the Tokyo Station. As such, the Revolutionary States condemns the unlawful killing of civilians in this plainly unjustified act of terrorism, and we solemnly stand with the fallen victims of this attack. Within this note, the Ministry of International Communications has set any necessary measures and directions to assure the safety of any party members currently living in Japan. We would also like to advise every Janpian party member to follow the instructions of local authorities for their own safety and to exercise caution when in public spaces. Furthermore, we would also recommend to any party members currently residing in Japan to evacuate to the nearest Janpian embassy for their repatriation, with all necessary documents or requirements laid out on our website. Following the said directive, a warning travel notice is also issued for anyone travelling to any Japanese states, with heavy imposition to anyone travelling to the Kanto region. However, as an internationalist vanguard of socialism, the Janpian Union of Revolutionary States also recognizes the growing unrest in Japan, which our Ministry believes is the root of the aforementioned terrorist act. As such, the Janpian Union of Government Workers' Party would also like to proclaim its critical support for the growing agonizing conditions of the workers, which has been noted for their worsening treatments from the state. This has been evidenced by their recent acts that curtails the freedom of the people, along with their ineffective deliveries brought from a failed system known as capitalism. It has been noted that the economic downturn of 2020 was a direct result of luck and assumption, which brought the current political instability and exposing the weaknesses of the capitalist economic system, resulting in to a society where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. With this divide between social classes growing larger, the ugly face of capitalism began to make its face clear for everyone: It is a system which favors luck and greed, with commodities made by the workers under the control of monetary value held by the stock market. With such conclusions drawn by the Ministry, the Janpian Union only sees one possible solution for the said problem. And that is, to unionize the workforce and a install a new democratic government with the authority of the people at the helm. Within such rights that the workers must also take their labor production and set their bonds free from the unrest. Furthermore, we would like to notify or warn that such production will also be held by the military or the government, as clearly evidenced by the growing support for Martial law at the national diet. Onwards for the Revolution! |
