I have a couple of flaming warning from around a year or more ago, back when I was, if the criticism on myself is allowed, pretty stupid.

My questions were:
a) do those warnings still count, or are they basically part of history now?
b) how close am i to the banhammer?

Notamod, but IIRC, warnings decay. After like 6 months, they can no longer be seen, but they still count if you do something flame-y that needs a warning/banhammer.

In order:
a) Those warnings will remain on your record for future reference, though typically the age of a warning is taken into account when evaluating a new offense and really old warnings tend to carry a lot less weight. Exceptions obviously exist, for example a user who got smacked for flaming, disappears entirely for a year, comes back and flames in a similar manner again is not going to get as much leeway for time elapsed between warnings as a user who has been consistently active and overall rule-abiding in the interim.
b) It's impossible to say, as we can't rule on a hypothetical, much less a hypothetical future violation. It would depend on the nature of the offense, the severity of it, and so on for surrounding context.
