Arval Va is an island nation near the Earth's equator, currently undergoing an economic boom after a period of extended civil war and decolonisation in the mid-late 20th century. Arval's IT and software industries have been trending upwards since the 2010s due to increases in education and the discovery of a series of rare earth metals in the west of the country. Arval is a unitary constitutional republic ruled by the democratically elected Párvodhasiavor. The peaceful ideals and rich culture of Arval's pre-colonial urbanised society have allowed for a thriving and accepting nation, with a prominent immigrant population and high civil liberties.
All ambassadors and their families will be granted diplomatic immunity, but staff or security may be expelled in the case of innapropriate behaviour or violation of Arvél law. Ambassadors may not bring any personal firearms, narcotics, or toxins into Arval. However, pets may accompany the ambassador, unless such pets endanger staff or the local populace. Free-of-charge translation services and private communications directly to the Department of Foreign Relation office in Vár Lirial and to the capital of their home nation will be provided at the ambassador's behest.
Embassies may be constructed in one of three cities within Arval:
- Vár Lirial, a city of 1.6 million and the home to the Párvodhasiavor and seat of government. Situated around an island at the mouth of the river Oproa, Lirial is the largest city in Arval, and offers a beautiful seaside view of the Bay of Raloidh with clear skies and a mild climate.
- Vár Untol, a city of 657,000 and the capital of Arval and the location of the Prince of Arval Va's residence. The oldest Erávilim settlement on the islands, Untol's streets are filled with the history and culture of Arval, as well as local cuisine supplied by the region's plentiful seafood.
- Vár Mana, a city of 1.3 million people and Arval's largest manufacturing and trade center.
Security will be provided by the Arval Police Department of the judicial district in which the embassy lies, but ambassadors may optionally bring personal security. In case of danger to the embassy or surrounding region, the ambassador and any staff may be evacuated at the local official's discretion.
