On 12:34 AM, 2041 23rd Of May,the crew of the Astral Navy Station "Alexandria",heard a low screeching sound from outside, at first,nobody bothered to investigate it,then it got louder and louder,then when one of the EVA team members decided to investigate it,it was then found out that the Siberian Space Station "Wolf" had its solar panels colliding with the Alexandria's,suddenly, a large dent was formed in the mess Hall, it was then found out that the main body of the wolf Station was colliding with the Alexandria, the two crews helped eachother to get the two stations away from eachother.

They have no reason to "Love" another, "but how come duo dances exist" Duo dances are shown as an opportunity to connect with other Apostles, and will most often be done by a pair of Apostles who do not even know each other.

There was once a sector 11, but after a lot of complications with the structures and lava flows it eventually got destroyed. We are currently rebuilding it, and are trying to make it more suitable for such issues.

Despite being a theocracy, the HDI has always had strong LBTG+ rights. This likely comes from the fact that after a disaster, kobolds will change sex to correct imbalances between the sexes. So to kobolds, transphobia just seems like discriminating against survives of disasters that have killed a lot of people. In addition since the kobolds that change sex after a disaster is random, it isn't unlikely that one half of a married couple might change sex but the other doesn't. Marriages that survive that have always been seen a very deep love.

As a result of Earth being "unified" by a corporation and in essence abolishing the concept of borders or nationalities, different races no longer exist on earth. By the time First Contact had happened, there was only one "race" on earth and it was human. Of course, By 2372 (right now), humans living in different planets have diverged to the point that "humans" now are divided based on the planet they live in. The majority are "Earthish" (of or pertaining to the planet Earth) -this including people living on other colonies in the Solar System-, while the other main groups are "Pandorish" (of or pertaining to the World of Pandora in the Sirius System) and "Merish" (of or pertaining to the World of Mera in the Alpha Centauri System), with most other humans originating from one of these three main groups. Needless to say, "Earthers" are privileged in the Conglomerate compared to the other two groups, being relatively richer and with more job and life security, as well as usually being employed in less physically taxing fields by the Conglomerate. Smaller human races also exist outside of Company Space.

Seems pretty standard for science fiction, Earth gets all the riches while everyone outside of it is treated as inferior. Although I do find it weird that other people from the Solar System are considered "Earthish" despite the possibility that they aren't from Earth at all.

Naval tradition in the IRBNF (Independent Republic of Boldonia Naval Forces) is that while in a friendly port ships are to fly the flag of their namesake if applicable in addition to their regular flags. This namesake flag is usually flown underneath the courtesy flag, as such at any given time a navy ship may be flying flags from three separate nations all at once. For example while in Yokosuka IRBS Miami would fly the Boldonian naval jack, the Japanese flag, and the flag of the city of Miami. The only change to this rule is when a ship is docked in its namesake, if it has permission it will fly the namesake flag over the courtesy flag such as IRBS Hawaii flying the state flag of Hawaii over the US flag in Pearl Harbor, if the authorities give it permission to do so.

Honestly I can see why they developed a surname if everyone originally had the same "last name" in a general geographical area. What I wonder now is, does your division name remain with you after your draft ends? Or do people just serve in the military permanently?

Many of the Conglomerate's colonies start up as a patchwork of unrelated settlements founded as literal company towns. After a habitable planet is surveyed, a company may decide to build a manufacturing plant, a research station, or some establishment to exploit a resource on the planet (a mine, a farm or plantation, etc.). The company then builds the establishment and a small, module town (usually with a "town hall", a school, a general store, a hospital, an emergency services, a religious building, and a small spaceport) and brings in workers. Later, when the number of company-settlements are too much, the planet is consolidated under a board of government made up of every company that holds a settlement in the planet. For example, the World of Mera -located in Alpha Centauri- was first settled by Kircholm Foundries, a subsidiary of Calhoun Conglomerate, as a durasteel production plant and the original settlement had 2,500 people in it. This later became the city of Balfour's Landing, the capital settlement of Mera and the largest city in all of the Conglomerate.

That actually sounds a lot like how Kaywell settles its planets (in a good way; don't worry about being unoriginal). Kaywellian colonization often entails heavy involvement from private corporations due to the Imperial Kingdom's highly capitalist economic system.

All species in Kaywell share a few fundamental similarities (use of DNA and cells, division into plant and animal life, etc.) because they are all, in fact, descended from an ancient alien race known as the Izlondians. Billions of years ago, the Izlondians seeded life across local star systems as a final effort to preserve life after a severe wormhole accident left their homeworld (known today as Uingffh, Kaywell's capital) nearly uninhabitable. The one exception is the tabulon race, who, alongside other life currently present on Uingffh, evolved naturally from surviving Izlondians rather than being seeded; this distinction is one of the biggest justifications for tabulon supremacy.

To me, this seems like a dumb plan doomed to fail from the start. They’d inevitably be caught running a power plant, and there’s no way this could ever be done discreetly. What were they even thinking? Now this also gives your two political parties incredibly bad press and allows the opposition to brand you as untrustworthy criminals that think they can break the law and get away with it. Instead, they could also have gone around interviewing locals about this issue and how the high energy costs have affected them, thereby improving public opinion of your mission to reactivate the plant and pressuring the GPP to reconsider their decision.

The technological disparity is to a degree that while the bulk of the Conglomerate's ships are on the other end of the Conglomerate's controlled space -more than 500 lightyears away from the frontier systems with the Stellar Compact-, and fighting another war to a standstill, the paltry protection squadrons that patrol human space in the frontiers is enough to deter the Stellar Compact from beginning a war.

In the 2020's resource war,drones and unmanned vehicles were widely used for the first time in warfare, and so nations began to develop EMP weapons. There are different types of these weapons, with the CFUS' main technique being gigantic artillery cannons with 195 MM rounds filled with EMP spreading machinery. When they fire,a huge booming sound is heard from Kilometers away,their reloading process is entirely automated. Other countries have different techniques of this weapon,such as the Western Russian Republic, where instead of conventional explosives propelling the rounds,they use railguns instead. These colossal cannons are mainly spread throughout the mojave desert. The main difference between techniques is that the railgun has more range but less effective, but the CFUS version has less range but more effective.

Very interesting! EMP weaponry is something that I'd like to see more of in fiction. I see a lot of AI and unmanned technology in sci-fi and similar media, but not a ton of EMP stuff. Though it could just be that I'm looking in the wrong places.

Uingffh was only uninhabitable during a short period after the wormhole accident. By the time the tabulon civilization had risen, Uingffh had long since regained its habitability; in fact, it is currently considered a superhabitable planet, with its biodiversity being higher than Earth's.

During its early history, Kaywell was home to four chivalric orders of knights: the orders of Kerbos, Novus, Uris, and Scentrilla. Karazis are more likely to fear a pistol/revolver than an assault rifle. The reasoning behind this is because pistols are seen as more personal, like a sign that somebody is about to be shot/executed, and the sights of particularly troublesome people recieving a pistol bullet to the head doesn't help either, not to mention the more unsavoury lot ready to draw a handgun on someone when provoked. Rifles are rarely used as the tool to execute these people mainly because it's slightly cheaper to use pistols that do the job just as well, so because pistols are used for these executions Karazis have grown to see handguns as a sign someone's going to get shot, making them fear a 9mm/.45 more than a 7.62x39mm.

One of the reasons why even when they executed people by gunfire it was through firing squads is because shooting someone at point blank range requires (and creates) a mentality that is simply not stable enough for literally any job, even being an executioner. I must wonder what the mental health situation in Karazi military and law enforcement is if pistol executions are mainstream.

The Goreth Campaign is probably the most brutal campaign -and the most atrocious- the Conglomerate's Corporate Army has ever fought in. The planetary invasion of Goreth happened in the Second Human-Gorethian War (2281-2289). Though the Gorethians had attacked first, the Corporate Navy blunted their initial offensive into the Republic of New Mesopotamia, a human protectorate "bordering" their space (and originally having been home to a Gorethian colony before its conquest in a previous war with the humans), and pushed them back to their home system of Goreth. Goreth, being a small moon of a Molten World orbitting a pulsar, was the most heavily fortified planet humans have ever encountered. To make planetary invasion possible, the Corporate Navy first pelted the planet with kinetic artillery, quantum missiles, and particle lances for two whole years -spending more munitions than they had in the two previous wars with the Gorethians combined- to destroy its orbital defenses and main planetside anti-spatial measures, and the the 11th and 31st Armies began an orbital incursion on Novath, the capital city.

Though the plan originally had been to take the planet with surgical strikes and occupy it thus forcing the Gorethian Stellar Authority to surrender, it became immediately obvious that this was impossible: the two field armies dropped on Novath lost nearly two-third their number in the opening hours of the Battle of Novath -though they managed to secure a landing spot for the other field armies of the 3rd Army Group to land-, and urban warfare commenced in a scale humans simply weren't used to. As Gorethian cities were destroyed and leveled -with 99.5% of Novath being destroyed in less than two weeks-, more and more soldiers began describing Goreth as 'hell manifest'. Field Marshal General Brunhild of Churchill, commander-in-chief of all forces in Goreth, ordered the forces to destroy, rather than attempt to occupy, anything that wasn't absolutely necessary for the prosecution of the campaign, and if the battle had been 'hell manifest' before, being ordered to roast Gorethian babies on open fires because food supplies were running out only made things worse for the average human soldier. Beginning in 2287 and as more and more cities had simply ceases to exist, the majority of human forces began withdrawing, and by August 2289 when the last troops had left the planet, only a handful of thousands of Gorethians still remained out of an estimated pre-war population of 19.3 billion.
