Illionar Today

The government of Illionar vote overwhelmingly to send military support to Tannenreich

The National Council of Illionar brought the military participation in Tannenreich to a vote, with the vote passing with 68-18 in favor of military intervention. King Jaša I, who himself was an active proponent of military involvement in the civil war, both for his own and possibly the CSAT's interests, has also expressed intentions to personally fly to Stattenburg and request an audience with the Tannenreich leadership. His motives for this have not been disclosed publicly.

Meanwhile, the Illionar High Command organized an expedition force to travel south towards the eastern edge of the Königstahl-held peninsula, with the Illionar fleet being headed by the Kyoshi-class KM Motorož, which would also be carrying upwards for twenty Adria A-191 combat aircraft. The naval force would also be supplemented by two guided-missile destroyers and two guided-missile frigates for support. As for ground forces, it was announced that Illionar would send the 39th "Jamska" Brigade as well as the 23rd "Haloška" Brigade and the 7th "Zetska" Armoured Regiment to assist Tannenreich forces. The total number of ground forces that would be sent by Illionar ammounted up to 12,000 troops.

Adria Aviation to produce the A-191 for New Prydai and Gaelland

After a few days of negotiating, the militaries of New Prydai and Gaelland accepted to order Illionar's A-191 combat aircraft for their air force. With production focusing on implementing the fighter fully into the Royal Illionar Air Force, it was expected for the orders for foreign customers to be completed by the end of 2024 and begin shipping out by the start of 2025. New Prydai ordered 15 A-191 A/B single seat variants, the first edition of the A-191 fighter, while Gaelland ordered a larger supply of 10 A-191 A/B single seat variants, 25 A-191 C/D two seater training and reconnaissance variants as well as the newest 5 A-191 E/F/G variants, that are currently exclusively for use by the Royal Illionar Air Force, but were suspected to be available post-2025 and so the contract was accepted.

'Consequences' to GNP sanctions, says Union of Euralia's Central Commission
Euralian Commissioner Leon Betel has made provocative statements about the recent GNP trade sanctions against Kealani

During an emergency press conference of the Union of Euralia's Central Commission, the recent political turmoil of the Firnean Royal Household's whereabouts, and the subsequent sanctions against Kealani made by the nations of the Great Nerus Pact (these being Firnea, Lunapoli, and Amethynia), have not been met with sympathy by the Central Commissioner, Leon Betel.

In what can only be described as almost bellicose, Betel threatened that "regardless of the situation, there will be dire consequences for the Kingdom of Firnea, Lunapolitan Empire, and the Federation of Amethynia", after facing a variety of questions regarding the situation. Although the Central Commissioner expressed his "greatest sympathies" towards the People of Firnea, Betel also stated that "the sanctions imposed by the Great Nerus Pact is in direct violation of every Euralian treaty since the Treaty of Eldur, and directly goes against the principles of the Union of Euralia and its commitment to solidarity amongst nations". When asked what these consequences would be, Betel failed to give a direct response, though did state that "whatever action is taken will ensure that another sanction of this measure never happens again within the Union".

The comments made by the Commissioner, and the whole ordeal on the Nerus coast in regards to Firnea's royal household, has left many Syrasian politicians claiming the Union of Euralia has simply "gotten too big", to quote one disgruntled MP, and that the Union should refocus its efforts in uniting the Boreal coast of Euralia and 'deepening' its political and economic unity, rather than it 'widening' as it has done in the past forty years.

This sentiment has been viewed as a symptom of the growing alienation of the Syrasian public from the 'Two Pillars' of Syrasia's foreign policy: the Collective Security Alliance Treaty and the Union of Euralia. Since the triggering of Article IV and the apparent reluctance of Syrasia to act, public support for both organisations has declined significantly, particularly with the former, with polls suggesting that CSAT's approval ratings lie at around 45%,whereas the UoE's approval ratings allegedly sit at around 52%; the lowest since polling began.

After weeks, Queen Saga and Princess Skadi are finally confirmed to have returned to Firnean safety, thanks to intervention of the Great Nerus Pact and primarily the Lunapolitan Dragon Legion.

"We've had to keep this undercover for as long as possible; act like we didn't have a clue. But, we managed to extract Queen Saga and her sister, without casualties", Ventura Romano, executive chief of the Dragon Legion, stated. "She is not in any state to give a statement, and will not be for a few days. We ask press and everyone else involved to be patient with Her Majesty and the Princess for the time being."

Almost around the same time, following an impromptu court order removing Firnean Vice Chancellor Makani Faraya from immunity, the executive was arrested in her home. According to various sources, she had not resisted arrest, and is expected to be charged with high treason in the coming days.

Firnean foreign minister announces cancellation of sanctions towards Kealani

"The GNP helped itself when no one else was willing to"

In a quick statement made by Firnean foreign minister Morgana Nordberg, it has been revealed that any and all trade sanctions made towards Kealani are to be cancelled with immediate effect.

"It is unfortunate enough the Great Nerus Pact was left alone with the matter; even more so the fact that Firnea, Lunapoli, and Amethynia are threatened with diplomatic consequences while Kealani, apparently, gets away gael-free", a visibly distressed Minister Nordberg stated. "It cannot be stressed enough how absurd it is that Commissioner Betel suggests that the GNP nations are a dead weight to the Union of Euralia - Euralian nations, all of them, needless to say, and among the most developed of them at that - while Kealani, a nation that has plotted to kidnap the Firnean Royal Family is not even spoken out against."

"We do not wish to retreat from the Union of Euralia, or CSAT", Nordberg continued. "I strong believe that our mutual benefits heavily outweigh the drawbacks. Clearly enough, however, the union's moral compass appears to be in desperate need of adjustment, and undoubtedly, a union commissioner should know better than to increase diplomatic tensions."

Firnean UoE and CSAT approval at all-time low

Royalist movement gaining strength from recent development

As a direct consequence of the situation regarding the kidnapping of Queen Saga and Princess Skadi, and the circumstances evolving around it, recent polls suggest that Firnean approval of the UoE has dropped to an all-time low of merely 76 percent while CSAT has went down to an approval rate of 70 percent.

It must be emphasized that, while these numbers are still high in absolute numbers, the decline is significant as the all-time high for the Union of Euralia has been probed to be 85 percent while CSAT has been approved of by 78 percent of all Firneans during their peak.

"It is ironic how the Empire of Lunapoli - historically, our worst enemy of all time - has been the nation providing utmost effort and aid while the rest of the world just stayed there, sitting in their ivory tower and watching as our nation nearly stumbled into nothingness", says Derrick Newman (45), a Firnean citizen interview in the streets of Gardheim. "Perhaps we are better on our own."

Experts through the fields of politics, economy, and society suggest that Firnea remaining a member of both the UoE, and CSAT would greatly contribute to the nation's safety and economic relevance, however, despite the given circumstances.

REFERENDUM TO BE HELD CONCERNING THE EURALIAN LIVRE

Will Rosaenia continue to use the Florin?

The new currency, the Euralian Livre, which will not be physically issued until 2025, has already seen backlash from the citizens of Rosaenia.

Several protests within Liberio and Florentia have been standing against the conversion to the Livre, with many saying that it takes away from Rosaenia's rich history surrounding the Florin, and what it means to those in the nation.

The following speech has been made by Franz Braun of the United Independence Party at Dahlie Square in Liberio on the 22nd June in front of a crowd of protestors.

"We are in danger. This time, not from a war, nor disease, nor poverty, but from a rapid erosion of Rosaenian values, culture, and way of life. The Euralian Livre, I would describe it as a burning building with no exits, and so it will prove for some countries in it. Already, we have the Comission intervening on foreign policy matters, the Euralian Central Bank now wants to produce a currency of its own? We cannot expect Rosaenian families to compete with the senseless consumerism of our neighbours. This is not a partisan campaign, nor is it a short term one for votes. This is a campaign to bring back common sense in Rosaenian Foreign Policy"

It has also been noted that some members of parliament have made remarks that agree with this movement, including Princess Emilia who has commented that she prefers the symbolism of the Florin as a representative of Rosaenia.

Rosaenian company Rosaenia Metalle faces repercussions as a result of new magnesium mine.

Mining has already begun

A new magnesium mine has been opened up surrounding one of the northern lakes of Rosaenia. WIth the lake being just outside the national park, Rosaenia Metalle has deemed this to be a suitable location for a magnesium mine, predicting a surplus in Rosaenian magnesium.

Many eco-activists have been challenging this development, stating that it can be detrimental to the environment.

However, many car and technology companies have deemed themselves interested in the new surplus, and economists have commented that the development may boost Rosaenia's exports, having a positive impact on the economy.

After a season of lacklustre spring precipitation and snow melt, the governments of Kumiho, Mizuho, and Tamako provinces have declared province-wide droughts. With this drought declaration, provincial authorities issued stage 2 water restrictions in many regions. Residents of the three provinces are no longer able to water gardens, even on previously permitted days, unless they reside on designated agricultural lands among other restrictions. In addition, hotels, businesses, and industrial users are being asked to restrict and monitor their water consumption for the time being or "face severe fines for abnormal water consumption".

Agriculture and Natural Resources minister Fumio Kuroki, a Member of Parliament from Kumiho Province, has stated that the Chihoese government will be releasing rice from the national reserves should the situation require it and that farmers in the affected regions will be receiving financial assistance as a result of any losses incurred from the drought. Officials from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport have begun working with nearby and upstream provinces on allocating additional reservoir water for affected regions. Authorities in Mishima and Shiraiwa have already begun releasing water stored in reservoirs upstream of the affected provinces in order to alleviate downstream demand.

Pembina offers support to Chiho

Congress approves aid package, request sent to Chihoese government

PEMBINAN CAPITOL BUILDING , NEPTUNE CITY

In what is a first in Pembinan history , President Benn has signed a Bill of Congress which allows for aid to be sent to the government of the Commonwealth of Chiho to help soften the impact of the current drought in the provinces of Kumiho, Mizuho, and Tamako. This aid includes a significant financial aid package , foodstuffs such as meats and rice , and also the option of having Pembinan soldiers travel to Chiho to help distribute water, if these droughts become more severe famines in later months.

What makes this more interesting for Pembina is that this is the first time a Bill has passed from a Democratic-Federalist controlled People's Council to a Socialist Labour controlled State's Council. There have only ever been two times the Democratic-Federalist Party (Democrats) have managed to hold the Lower House ; from 1962-1964 and from 1998-2000. All bills outside ideological sense have been blocked by the more mature, long-term State's Council which has permanently remained under the safe hands of the Socialist Labour Party. For a Bill from the Democrats to reach both the State's Council and then the President has never before been seen in Pembinan history.

The Socialist Labour Party , some believe , has been quietly anticipating that they may struggle to win the November 2024 Presidential Elections , however rest assured this is most likely not the case. The Democrats are an exceptional party of high quality, and appeal to the younger generations, but do not reflect the wider beliefs of Pembinan society. They are criticised by many for being too dominated by urban hipsters from Centralis and the nouveau riche of the more well-off southern republics. Pembina deserves a political party which can reflect the opinions and views of everyone, from a lawyer in New Borea, to a modest farmer in North Liberty.

Robert McCarthy (F-MAU 1st Disctrict), affectionately named "Big Rob" by supporters , who is Speaker of the Council of the People , had this to say on the steps of the Capitol Building in Neptune City:

'It is very difficult being the first Speaker of the Council of the People in history from the Democratic-Federalist Party of Pembina . It is even more difficult if the entire nation of Pembina , and each and every republic within her borders , ignores the blight of working men and women outside our own typical partners . The toilers of Chiho are suffering what is considered by Pembinan meteorologists to be an agricultural drought - this is when there is a significant lack of soil moisture. To stop and boring science talk , this means that the provinces of Kumiho , Mizuho and Tamako are dangerously close to reaching a famine . We cannot ignore the suffering of our fellow farmers and labourers simply because they are not members of OMCO or a socialist ally . We must look beyond ideological dogma and appreciate the world with open eyes . I do hope that the government of Chiho accepts this aid package and we can help foster better relations between the two countries.

It is not yet known whether the government of Chiho will accept this package , especially since Pembina is often unfairly painted as an estranged nation not accustomed with the international community. We will keep you updated as this historic moment progresses further.

REPUBLICAN ARMIES PAVE OVER THE ANARCHIST FORCE WITH SHEER NUMBER; HEAD OF REPUBLICAN FRONT RENE TABARD PROMISES SWIFT DEFEAT OF ANARCHISTS IN ONE MONTH

The Battle of Tenepolis between anarchist and Republican forces was a brutal and violent affair that had significant consequences for the surrounding area. Civilians living in a 30 mile radius have been forced to flee their homes or take shelter until the fighting was over.

The battle took place on the Tenepolis farm in the Mangeyle countryside. The two sides had been skirmishing for weeks, but this was the first major engagement. The anarchists had taken up positions in the farmhouse and barns, while the Republicans were advancing across the fields. Both sides had many thousands of soldiers protecting their gains and territories, consolidating and protecting the land and civilians in the area.

The two sides exchanged fire for five hours, with neither gaining the upper hand. As night fell, the Republicans launched a daring assault on the farmhouse. They managed to breach the battered defenses and fought their way inside with roughly 350 casualties.

The fighting was brutal and costly both material and human-wise. The sound of gunfire echoed across the fields as both sides fought for control of the farm. The Republicans had superior numbers and firepower, but the anarchists were determined to hold their ground. Soon

The battle raged on into the night. The farmhouse was set ablaze, and the flickering lights illuminated the battlefield. The anarchists fought with desperation, knowing that defeat would mean the encirclement of their division in the area and the shattering of the front line in the area leaving an open road to Rauvil.

In the end, however, they were unable to hold out against the relentless onslaught of the Republican forces under General Phillipe Renet. The farmhouse was overrun, and the anarchists were forced to surrender. Approximately 1500 Black Guardsmen were captured at Tenepolis.

The battle had significant consequences for both sides. The Republicans were able to use their victory to rally support and gain momentum. Following the utter humiliation of the Black Guard at Tenepolis, a group of civilian aircraft dropped leaflets over Rauvil promising the reestablishment or order in the De facto capital of the Flersian state.

The anarchists, on the other hand, were forced to regroup. and Reorganize their divisions on the road to Rauvil and reinforce their southward flank on the city.

Civilians who lived in areas where these battles took place would have likely been affected by them in some way. Many have been forced to flee their homes or take shelter until the fighting was over. They may have also been caught in the crossfire or suffered unrelenting and potentially life-destroying damage to their property or physical health.

It’s also possible that some civilians supported one side or the other in the conflict. Anarchism and Republicanism were both political movements that had supporters and detractors, so it’s likely that some people had strong opinions about the outcome of the battle, maybe with potential tide-swaying benefits and negatives.

Queen Saga announces to keep executive control until further notice

Investigations launched towards Firnean Royalist Party

Weeks after Queen Saga and Princess Skadi were rescued by the Lunapolitan Dragon Legion, the head of state and current ruler of Firnea has made a statement during a press conference in front of the Firnean Emerald Palace.

"We have reason to assume the Firnean Royalist Party has only existed to set up Faraya's plan to bring our royal family under control, knowing a lot of Firneans continue to feel the desire to live under the rule of the crown. Therefore, we have launched investigations towards the FRP, and before the power of parliament can be fully reinstated, we have to understand if the FRP will be allowed to continue to exist. Should that not be the case, there must be a new general election.

Until that day, I will make best use of the situation and stay in control. Our parliament will run every law, every decision by me, and I will make the final decision. This may not be to the liking of every Firnean, but I promise not to abuse my position, and prove to be a fair and reasonable ruler."

Queen Saga will serve as the first monarch holding executive powers since 1881, following more than 140 years of parliamentarian democracy.

Gov't responds to foreign aid offer; unveils further drought measures

In a press conference on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that it accepted an offer of foreign aid from the Federation of Pembinan Republics for the ongoing drought in the eastern provinces. Foreign Affairs minister Mina Suzuki had spoken with her counterpart in Pembina, thanking them for aid package, but firmly declining the presence of foreign troops on Chihoese soil. Minister Suzuki issued a statement shortly afterwards stating that "Chiho appreciates the offer of aid from Pembina, and welcomes their attempt to foster better relations with Chiho and with the broader international community".
Political analysts and some within the ruling Democratic Alliance political bloc had expected the government to reject the foreign aid package from Pembina, or issue a more muted response in light of the blocs ambition to seek closer ties with CSAT should they remain in power following the upcoming election in October. However, a spokesperson from the foreign ministers Progressive Party has called such assertions absurd and that "the Progressive Party and its partners in the Democratic Alliance will always put the well-being of Chihoese ahead of politics".

Further drought measures announced

The Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources have announced additional measures to combat the effects of the uncharacteristically severe drought affecting the eastern provinces. Beginning with immediate effect, residential users will be prioritized for the distribution of water, while water intensive users will face additional usage restrictions. Officials from the Agriculture and Natural Resources ministry have also confirmed that foodstuffs such as rice, will be released from the national reserves in order to alleviate any price pressures on basic staples in the affected provinces. There is an estimated 800 thousand tons of rice is kept on a yearly basis in the national reserves, along with other basic staples such as salt.
Prime Minister Toyoda has put his campaigning on hold to tour the affected regions, and was seen on Tuesday talking to a group of concerned farmers in Mizuho. The Prime Minister's Office has released a brief press release reiterating the governments support for the affected regions and its residents.

A long range forecast by Meteorological Services Chiho currently shows a large low pressure system approaching southern Chiho from the Great Nerus Ocean, passing by Shiraiwa Province and bringing possible relief for those in Kumiho Province at the very least. Although heavy rains in the drought stricken regions may bring the risk of flash floods at this point.

Nationalist Party ousts leader in leadership election

Newly elected Nationalist Party leader Yuko Hayashi

In an astonishing conclusion to the Nationalist Party's leadership race, longtime party leader Hiroshi Fujisaki was ousted on Wednesday as the final ballots cast by party delegates were counted late into the evening. Yuko Hayashi, daughter of former Prime Minister Masaharu Hayashi, with support from the powerful conservative political associations such as the Unity Association, was able garner enough votes to topple Hiroshi Fujisaki as party leader. Hayashi was able to secure the majority of the votes in the first round of voting, avoiding a runoff vote and achieving a decisive victory over her opponents. She was able to secure 56.8% of the votes against Fujisaki's 37.5% and Park Yong-soo's 5.7%. After being announced the winner and the new leader of the Nationalist Party, Hayashi gave a passionate speech thanking her supporters for their unwavering support and vowing that this would be first among many victories for her and the party. She acknowledged and thanked Fujisaki for his "years of service to the party and Chiho; championing the party's values and political philosophy in a Democratic Alliance dominated Parliament". She wished Fujisaki and Park all the best, and hoped that they will continue to be a part of the process to build "a stronger and more resilient Chiho".

Her victory may have come as a surprise to those outside of the party and the broader conservative political establishment, but years of electoral stagnation and falling confidence in Fujisaki's leadership had greatly swayed the opinions of many party delegates in the run up to the leadership election. Yuko Hayashi, on the other hand, reminded many in the party of her fathers stoic leadership and steadfast support of Chihoese nationalism, and was seen as a viable contender against the party's opponents in the upcoming general election.

In interviewers and comments to the press prior to the leadership election, she reaffirmed many of her views on the issues facing Chiho and Chihoese as they head to the polls in October.

Concerning the economy, she described herself as "pro-business" and a firm supporter of expanding state-chartered enterprises as a "guiding hand" in the Chihoese economy. She also acknowledge the uneven nature of Chiho's rapid economic growth, promising "state intervention where and when necessary" to ensure all regions of Chiho benefit from the country's economic growth. She has called small and medium businesses as "key movers and innovators in Chiho's economy" and that she would champion and support their needs.

In foreign policy, Hayashi has mentioned in numerous instances that she supports Chiho's membership aspirations with the Collective Security Alliance Treaty (CSAT), and would request a fast track to membership if she were prime minister. She has described CSAT as a champion of global stability and order, especially in contrast to the League of Nations, of which she has often called a "weak willed and ineffective organization". Hayashi has also stated that she is a strong supporter of the military, and would see to "expanding the capabilities of the defence forces to meet the needs of country" and would "support the purchasing of foreign equipment as a stop gap measure to satisfy operational inadequacies". On foreign aid, Hayashi has stated that "there needs to be tangible benefits and returns for Chiho", but acknowledged that foreign aid spending is a valuable diplomatic tool in advancing Chiho's foreign policy objectives.

As a ardent nationalist and social conservative, Hayashi has advocated for traditional family values, meritocracy in government, and a strong and stable Chiho. She, like a significant portion in her party, opposes same-sex marriage, but has stated that she "considers [the legalization] a settled issue" and that the party "should not and would not reopen the issue, unless there is significant support [for the repeal] in Chihoese society at large".

Carrier Group to move through Boreal Sea and North Meridis

RSS MAURITANIA IN JUNE 2021

The carrier group surrounding the new RSS Mauritania Aircraft Carrier, which was launched officially by the Pembinan Government in 2021, has officially been announced to be partaking in new Freedom of Navigation (FoN) exercises in the Boreal and North Meridis seas, in order to prevent any operational challenges against excessive maritime claims, and to ensure that the freedom of vessels on international waters. This will be the first time the Mauritania has conducted any operations outside of her home port of Windcape, MAU, and the Pembinan people can be proud with the fact that Pembina is able to protect the livelihoods of workers who rely on the open waters for their income. The route will consist of circling the perimeter of the central Boreal Sea, and then will turn south to the Meridis Straits.

Already, the Federation has proven itself a tireless ally for the international community to rely upon, especially after its work to aid Chiho during their particularly dry Summer months . Never since the Poppy Fields War has Syrasia witnessed civil conflict on such an alarming scale as it has done on its southern border, in what an Anarchist Vanguard group is calling the "Free Territory and Black Lands of Flers-Douai". In a dramatic series of events and political infighting amongst the Cabinet of Wilson, the Syrasian government has officially authorised the transport of 25 Chimera II MBTs to the Noble House of Lugemon-Torrodot, in an effort to establish a friendly Absolutist state on Syrasia's southern border, as well as to protect the lives of families and the elderly along the northern extremities of what can only be considered to be the most chaotic failed state the North Euralian continent has seen in the last century.

The Chimera II MBT has been one of two main MBTs of the Syrasian Empire, the other being the Chimera III, both produced mainly during the 1990s. Fitted with advanced technology and the 120mm Rifled Syrasian main gun, the Chimera II will be a reliable vehicle for those wishing to reinstate order in the so-called Euralian Federation and the rest of the anarchic wastelands that have been created due to the absence of a central royal axis for their nation.

Most troubling is that the government of the day in the so-called Flers-Douai region, the Euralian Federation, lacks legitimacy and strength to continue to maintain itself as the official and legal government of the region. Recently to replace the older ships in the Navy, the SN has ordered 3 new Saumerhaven Class Missile Frigates in order to further modernize the Neuerstaater fleet, with the ship being designed by the Oberflachenflottenindustrie or OFI for short in 2008, the class had seen only one of it's type be constructed so far, the KMN Saumerhaven, although with the three new recently placed orders, the ships KMN Rosalind, Roteburg and Amden will begin construction within the year, it is estimated they will be completed by 2029, with the rather high price tag of the ships due to greater amounts of technology and greater levels, many doubt this will be much benefit to Neuerstaat as a whole, although the SN has stated that this project is a good use of taxpayer money because this would allow Neuerstaat to better defend itself from any foreign threat in light of rising tensions in the northern hemisphere.

Know Your Vote: 2024 General Election

As millions of Chihoese head to polls in less than two weeks, CBS has compiled a special report on the parties and their policy priorities, and how they might affect you. The 2024 General Election marks the first time in over a decade that the ruling coalition, the Democratic Alliance, faces a serious challenge from their rivals. The Nationalist Party, recently invigorated by the election of Yuko Hayashi as their party leader, has their hopes set high as they seek to take control of Parliament. The party and its allies may have a serious chance of defeating the CDP-led coalition, as many Democratic Alliance held seats are now considered swing seats according to recent polling.

The parties must address the concerns and needs of Chihoese if they are to earn their votes at the ballot box. Key issues for this election include, the economy, jobs, foreign policy, and climate change. Climate change in particular has risen to the forefront as an issue, as the eastern provinces endured an exceptionally severe drought this summer. The drought had exposed some shortcomings of the incumbent Democratic Alliance and their 16 years in power, as many residents and opposition politicians accused the coalition of being ill prepared.

On the economic front, the parties are clashing over how Chiho should maintain its rapid economic growth and how it should address some of the disparities that have arisen. So far the parties have floated policy proposals such as attracting more foreign investment, expanding Chiho's economic reach, tax incentives, infrastructure investment, and job training programs among other things. While overall year on year growth of the Chihoese economy has remained strong and stable for the past few years, some regional economies in Chiho have stood in contrast. Regions, such as the three northern provinces, have seen sluggish growth in contrast to the rest of the country. Once again, the parties have put forward proposals such as increasing market access, regulatory reforms, and utilizing state-chartered corporations as catalysts for regional growth.

In foreign policy, the foremost issue this election has been Chiho's potential bid for membership in the Collective Security Alliance Treaty (CSAT). CSAT is a military alliance consisting of 8 member states spanning Violetia. Its primary purpose is safeguarding the sovereignty of their member states, and promoting a safe and stable Violetia. CSAT's Collective Security Council Representative Hikari Ueda has expressed on multiple occasions that the members of the alliance would "welcome Chiho as a positive contributor to the alliance, and to the peace and security of Violetia". Thus-far, both political coalitions have voiced support for Chihoese membership in CSAT. However, differences remain on the approach and timeline to membership. Meanwhile, many of the non-aligned parties have come out in opposition to CSAT membership. Public opinion on the matter has significantly shifted over the past few years, with high of 68% of Chihoese opposed to joining CSAT to the reverse with nearly 60% of Chihoese now supportive of joining. This shift can be attributed to concerns over regional stability, perceived ineffectiveness of the League of Nations, and the events surrounding the Königsthal Civil War.

Climate change remains an ever present issue facing Chiho and Violetia as a whole. With the abnormally severe droughts in eastern Chiho this summer, the issue has been propelled to the forefront once again. While policy proposals between the parties vary, the main theme has revolved around the level of involvement and responsibility from government. In light of the drought, the parties have also proposed various measures to prepare for future climate emergencies and to build a more climate resilient Chiho.

In addition, the coalition has promised to create a comprehensive plan to promote Chiho as a destination for foreign investment in order to further economic growth and job creation.
◼ SDP: Lowering the national consumption tax rate from 12% to 10%, and increasing income tax rates for those making over NC¥ 1 million.
◼ Progressive: Pursue free trade agreements with like minded trade partners to further market reach of domestic companies, and expand small business support programs.

Conservative Group
◼ Nationalist Party | ◼ Justice Party | ◼ Commonwealth Party

The Conservative coalitions policy proposals on the economy and jobs mainly focus on support for Chihoese businesses, rural revitalization, and supporting Chihoese corporate expansion overseas. For the expansion of foreign investments overseas, the parties have proposed expanding the reach and resources of the Chiho Development Bank. Rural revitalization proposals would see regional economic disparities be addressed through financial and technical support. Support for small and medium businesses would also be further expanded upon.
◼ Nationalist: Wage subsidy program for rural and small businesses in order to address disparities in economic growth, and to promote growth and development outside of Chiho's major metropolitan centres. Allocating tens of billions of NC¥ in building up critical infrastructure such as highways, railways, ports, and airports.
◼ Commonwealth: Slash corporate taxes to promote job growth, and to increase corporate and personal incomes.

◼ Localist League

The Localists economic policy proposals largely revolve around supporting small and medium businesses, and giving local governments more support and resources to direct their own economic development plans.

◼ Green Chiho

The Greens have called for the transitioning extraction industries to a green economic model built for the future. They have proposed placing a moratorium on new mining, oil and gas developments, and shifting resources towards renewable energy developments. The party has also proposed a "green levy" and directing proceeds to green infrastructure projects and jobs.

◼ Citizens Alliance

The party has called for the reduction of income taxes for the middle class and an end to government overspending. The party has also proposed new programs to support innovation and job creation in the economy.

◼ Peace and Prosperity

Peace and Prosperity has called for the promotion of a more people centered economy, and the gradual reduction in quantity and importance of arms exports as a pathway to economic growth.

Foreign policy

Democratic Alliance
◼ Civic Democratic Party | ◼ Social Democratic Party | ◼ Progressive Party

The Democratic Alliance has pledged to pursue Chihoese membership in CSAT through their Membership Action Plan. In light of this, the coalition has stated that it will set aside funding for the military to pursue interoperability with CSAT militaries. The coalition has also pledged to boost foreign aid and development funding, and play a bigger role in League of Nations peacekeeping commitments.
◼ SDP: The party has put forward a plan for Chiho to make a bid for one of the LN Security Council's non-permanent seats.

Conservative Group
◼ Nationalist Party | ◼ Justice Party | ◼ Commonwealth Party

The Conservative parties has made it clear that it would pursue Chihoese membership in CSAT with all due haste. The coalition says it will increase military spending to this end, and that it would slash foreign aid spending unless such spending is conducive to the foreign policy goals.
◼ Nationalist: Increase military spending to 2.5% of GDP and review commitments to the League of Nations. Study the idea of a joint fighter program with allies and partners, in order to reduce overall costs and to facilitate closer defence relationships.
◼ Justice: Tighten immigration and refugee requirements.

◼ Localist League

The Localist League has not published details on their foreign policy platform.

◼ Green Chiho

The Greens oppose CSAT membership and have proposed that Chiho should officially sign a declaration of nuclear non-proliferation. The party has pledged to increase foreign aid and development funding with the goal of assisting less developed nations with green development.

◼ Citizens Alliance

The party has stated that it would put the CSAT question to a referendum for the people of Chiho to decide on.

◼ Peace and Prosperity

Peace and Prosperity vehemently opposes the pursuit of membership in CSAT and is a staunch supporter of Chiho's policy of armed neutrality. The party has proposed creating a forum for like minded non-aligned nations on the world stage for discussion and collaboration. Peace and Prosperity also supports the idea of Chiho signing a declaration on nuclear non-proliferation.

Climate change

The Conservatives have proposed investing in smart grid infrastructure and the gradual shutdown of natural gas-fired power plants, as renewable sources become more reliable and more nuclear power plants become operational. The coalition has also proposed subsidies for domestic electric vehicle manufacturing, and for electric vehicle purchases.
◼ Nationalist: The Nationalists have acknowledged that climate change is a national problem, but have proposed delegating some responsibilities to provincial governments, especially in building up climate resiliency. The party opposes any cuts to gas subsidies, as it would place an undue burden on the average consumer.

◼ Localist League

The Localists have pledged to support domestic green technology companies, and support Green Chiho's proposal for a national "green levy".

◼ Green Chiho

The Greens have proposed imposing a "green levy" on fossil fuel and fossil fuel vehicle purchases. The party has also pledge to make Chiho's climate goals more aggressive in regards to net zero targets and renewable energy production. In addition, Green Chiho has pledged to support local governments as they prepare for further impacts of climate change. To this end, the party has proposed a national "climate fund", which would be funded through the proposed green levy and cuts in fossil fuel subsidies.

◼ Citizens Alliance

The party has endorsed the Green Chiho proposal for a "green levy", but has stressed the impact must be shifted to companies and not the average Chihoese.

◼ Peace and Prosperity

Peace and Prosperity has also thrown its support behind Green Chiho. The party has also proposed to prohibit the Chiho Infrastructure Bank from supporting further carbon intensive projects.

GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES PLAN FOR NUCLEAR POWER

Newly established Atomic Energy Development Commission announces start of development on a prototype reactor

^{Valais (NP) - During a press conference early this morning, the Atomic Energy Development Commission announced that it received final approval from the Conference on its proposed research budget for Reactor Experiment One. The reactor, which has been delayed due to budget disagreements since 2006, is intended to both open the door for further nuclear power projects to replace increasingly controversial oil and coal plants, alongside further push the envelope of nuclear fuel technologies.

Designed by the AEDC and Pemberton Electric, REO is intended to use thorium as its main fuel source, and is intended to have a fission conversion of 1.2, allowing the reactor to produce more U-233 then it could ever consume. To ensure the safety of the system, molten salt will be used to both transfer heat from the reactor core, alongside acting as an additional fissioning matrix. A representative with the AEDC stated that the reactor should be capable of outputting 500 MWe, however with the reactor being a prototype, there isn’t a guarantee on it. In order to enrich the fuel, the AEDC successfully received approval from the Norudo to purchase an initial sample of U-233 to enrich the thorium until the reactor is steadily breeding enough uranium for the purpose.

A side effect of the purchase is the increased international involvement on the project. The acquisition of the uranium came with the clauses that the nation must pledge to not repurpose the U-233 for usage in nuclear devices, as well as consenting to yearly audits by the League of Nations. Reactions on the subject have been mixed. Dr. Marten Lorenz, head of the REO design team, stated that “such inspections shouldn’t be deemed as oversteps by an foreign power, but as an assurance of furthering international cooperation and peaceful science. The world could benefit greatly from such increased collaboration.” Inversely, Counsellor of Grünesboden Eveline Heilprin declared the requirements a “broad overreach of Norudo and LoN authority.”

Seeing the end of the civil war in Tannenreich, Baier, a well known Automobile manufacturer in Neuerstadt has recently acquired a 100,000 square meter of industrial land in a abandoned industrial complex near the Tannenreich capital for a price of 12 million dollars, this is in preparation for the company to expand into the market of Tannenreich after the civil war left it devoid of any competitors, taking quick action, the company would cooperate with construction company Bauer to refit the industrial space for production of several of the older models produced by Baier in it's past years such as the Baier Almach, Baier Ascella and the infamous Baier Intercrus, these lower cost friendly yet reliable vehicles would be estimated by the company to allow the less wealthy population of Tannenreich to operate such vehicles without significant savings, many predict that the success or failure of Baier in expanding into Tannenreich would determine how other companies in Neuerstadt may consider their expanding their operations into Tannenreich.

In light of the end of the civil war within Tannenreich, the Neuerstadter Government has announced that it will be sending Tannenreich 1.12 Billion dollars worth of Aid in order to accelerate the nation's reconstruction and recovery.

The Kierspe Nuclear Power Plant is located nearby the town of Kierspe and is located in the West of Katzeninsel, closest to the city of Eldriche, it will generate a annual net output of roughly 20,000 GW·h, featuring better nuclear technology than the other power plants in the nation, it would be a major generator of power and increase the usage of nuclear energy in Neuerstadt, as well as diminishing the usage of fossil fuels, the Die Erneuerbare Partei (DEP) has expressed their support as this would be in cooperation with the other projects in eliminating fossil fuel power plants in Neuerstadt with the percentage of energy generated by Fossil fuel power plants in Neuerstadt dropping from 72% in 2000 to 44% in 2020, it is estimated they will be eliminated as late as 2045

End of the War
With Tannisch forces storming the Königstahler high command’s bunker, the civil war officially comes to an end. As Tannisch soldiers raid the estates of all the members of the Königstahler government and high command, they find billions of commonwealth dollars in gold, art, and various other precious metals and objects, a total of 32.2 billion commonwealth dollars.

Queen Elisabeth has pledged to use all the assets seized from the former government to pay for rebuilding and revitalizing the nation. All of the members of the former government and high command have been arrested and are sitting in a jail in Stattenburg awaiting transfer to the International Criminal Court (ICC)

After the official end of the civil war, the Queen makes a televised speech to the globe.
“Wir haben die Unterdrücker unserer großen Nation besiegt. Aus den Trümmern eines totalen Krieges werden wir wie ein Phönix in ein neues Zeitalter aufsteigen. Formation of a New Government

Around two months before the war had ended. The Queen had made the rounds all across the country talking to community leaders, union leaders, members of the military, mayors, small business owners, farmers, and people from all walks of life for input into a new constitution.

By the end of September she had finalized the constitution. The text of the constitution which she had released to the press can be seen below

Article I
The Tannisch people hold fundamental rights, to be abridged by no sovereign or government. Among these are the right to free speech, the right to free expression, the right to freedom of religion, the right to vote, the right to a fair trial, the right to compensation by the government, the right to petition the government, the right to be free of unjust punishment, the right to have minority languages and cultures protected, the right to strike and negotiate with employers, and the right to self defense of the person. This is not an exhaustive list however and this list may not be used by the government or the sovereign to deny other rights that may not be listed.

Article II
The Kaiser(in) is the head of state of the Tannisches Reich. The Kaiser(in) while not being elected, is still beholden to the will of the people. The Kaiser(in) is the current head of the Haus of Tanix, the succession of said house goes through the oldest child of the current head. If the current head has no children it will go to the closest relative of the current head. Children do not have to be biological children to be able to accede to the throne, however must be legally adopted by the sovereign. If an adoptive child is the oldest and they have a sibling it is up to the discretion of the current head on which will be their heir. If the House of Tanix is to die out, the next Kaiser(in) will be elected by a popular vote of the people of the Tannisches Reich. The role of the Kaiser(in) is as the head of state. The Kaiser(in) may issue imperial orders to in times of emergency, make effective change immediately. The Kaiser(in) will represent the Tannisches Reich on the diplomatic level including signing treaties. The Kaiser(in) also has the power to approve or veto any laws, to certify electoral results, to approve a prime minister, to dissolve parliament and call a snap election, to control the armed forces, and to appoint justices to the Imperial Court. The Kaiser(in) may be forced to abdicate in case of a 2/3s vote in both chambers of the legislature after which their heir will succeed the throne.

Article III
The Imperial Legislature is to be made up of the Imperial Senate and the Imperial Parliament. The Imperial Senate is a body made up of 100 senators. Each senator will represent a district of the nation and will represent no more than 500,000 citizens. After every census the number of seats will be adjusted to ensure adequate representation. The districts may only be made by an independent commission to ensure the seats are fair. The Imperial Parliament is a body made up of 500 seats. The number of seats is determined by a national popular vote by party. For a party to get one seat, the entire party needs to get 0.2% of the vote. The Imperial Parliament will elect the Prime Minister. The Imperial Legislature holds sole authority to legislate. The Imperial Legislature must approve any treaties and any appointments by the Kaiser(in). A constitutional amendment must pass with 2/3s support in both chambers and be approved by the Kaiser(in).

Article IV:
The Constitutional Court is a 15 member body made up of justices appointed by the Kaiser(in) and approved by the Imperial Legislature. The constitutional court hears all matters regarding the constitutionality of laws or imperial orders made by the legislature or by the Kaiser(in). The Constitutional Court may strike down the law if 8 out of 15 justices find that the law is unconstitutional. Justices serve a 20 year term. They may be impeached by the legislature if 2/3s of both chambers vote for impeachment.

Article V:
Every election in a physical district is to use a ranked choice voting system. If a candidate does not achieve a majority, then the candidate with the lowest performance will be removed and their votes given out based on the next choice of each voter.

The Queen in a ceremony in Rosenheim will sign the new constitution putting it into force. She will be crowned Kaiserin in a weeks time after the signing of the constitution and elections will be held one month after.

Bella Costa City Leaders Warn Of City and Region To Run Out Of Water On April 15, 2025 Amid Historic Drought

Executive Mayor Louis Garcia of Bella Costa has warned the municipality and the metropolitan area could soon run out of drinking water in 6 months if nothing is done. Mr. Garcia in a press conference today, stated; "The city of Bella Costa the wider metropolitan area and the East Central Valley could run out of drinking water, water to farm the East Central Valley, and for other uses in a matter of 6 months. Bella Costa has suffered from droughts in the past, but not the extent seen this decade. Bella Costa and the wider region has been in a drought since 2019. We are the only major city in the world, that still relies on dam reservoirs for 100% of its water needs. If nothing is done, we will become the first major city in the world outside of a war zone to run out of water for daily usage. That is why the city and the province has enacted heavy water restrictions. With new water restrictions in place starting immediately, we could hopefully extend the water supply up to 9 to 12 months."

According to the New Postland Weather Service, the west coast of New Postland has been in a historic drought for the last 5 years. This drought may be the worst drought in 1,000 years. The West Coast wet season is during the cool winter months. For the last 5 years, the winter rains have been lack luster. The 2024 wet season, has been the worst ever recorded, with Bella Costa receiving, 3.72 inches (94.5 mm) from the period of April 1,2024 to October 1,2024. From January to October, Bella Costa has received 4.14 inches (105.2 mm). By the end of the year, it could be the driest year ever recorded. Beating out the year of 1941, when the entire year was 8.76 inches (222.5 mm). Some areas in Bella Costa received no rainfall at all this year or this wet season, largely in the East Central Valley. The East Central Valley is separated by the Coastal Range to the west and the larger Island Divide Range to the east. The East Central Valley is the primary farming region in the country, producing 55-60% of the nation's food. Despite covering only 25,000 square miles (64,749.7 square kilometers) of the area of the country. The valley on average receives 15-20 (381-508 mm) inches of rainfall per year. The west coast and the valley has a warm to hot dry summer, and a cool to cold wet winter. This is the opposite of the rest of the country, which receives it's precipitation all year round with a maximum both in the summer and the winter.

The west coast has seen its population grow from 2.9 million to 7.6 million in the last 35 years. With the Bella Costa Metro area growing from 1.6 million in 1989 to an estimated 5 million in 2024. Meanwhile dam capacity has only increased by 21% in the last 35 years. Which is not enough to support the growing population of the metro area and the region as a whole. Bella Costa is the nation's third largest Metropolitain Area and city in the country. Bella Costa is the nation's tourism hotspot. With beautiful beaches, stunning architecture, wine, landscapes, and a world class nightlife. It is estimated that 4.9 million international tourists visited Bella Costa in 2019. However, there are concerns that if the water is turned off by April 2025 the tourism industry could be hit hardest. Water restrictions come as Bella Costa is currently dealing with a heatwave and will have an even hotter summer this season. Dams run by the metro area are ranging from as low as 26% to 48% capacity. Once dams reach 15%, the water will be turned off. Excluding hospitals and fire departments. The East Central Valley, could run out of water much later in December 2025. If this happens, the country could enter a deep recession.

Politicians are already pointing fingers of who is to blame for the crisis. The national government run by a right-wing collation has blamed the liberal West Coast Province and local authorities such as Executive Mayor of Bella Costa. The national government has passed a declaration of a disaster area for the West Coast Province. The national government has stopped short of committing to costly desalination plants that were recommended as far back as 1995. Now the residents of Bella Costa and the West Coast Province hang in the balance and hope for the day when the water is turned off never comes.

The opposition Conservative coalition led by the Nationalist Party has secured a slim majority in tonight's historic election. Cheers could be heard throughout the night at the Nationalist Party election night headquarters, as the results from Niihama and Kumiho began trickling in. As the two most populous provinces in Chiho, both coalitions had to secure a majority of seats in either in order have a hope of coming out on top. At the end of the night, the Nationalist Party ended up securing three-quarters (98 seats) of the seats in Niihama, and nearly a third (21 seats) of the seats in Kumiho. Their electoral successes in Niihama saw the party sweep up what was previously considered Civic Democratic Party safe seats in and around the metropolitan area. The results in Kumiho were similar, with the Nationalist Party and the Social Democratic Party each taking their share of CDP-held seats.

With the Nationalist Party's 234 seats and the Justice Party's 14 seats, the coalition managed to gain 248 seats — 4 more than the 244 seats required for a majority in Parliament. However, their coalition partner, the Commonwealth Party, lost all their previously held seats and failed to secure a single seat tonight. The coalition is also expected to receive the confidence and supply of two Independent members of parliament from Fuyumatsu Province; increasing their majority to 250 seats.

The Conservative victory marks an end to the Democratic Alliance coalition's 16 years in power. Many of the Civic Democratic Party's seats were swept up by the Nationalist Party in the election, as the party saw a drop of 60 seats. The Progressive Party also saw a bruising loss, as they were only able to win 12 seats, a far cry from the 45 they held following the previous election. Meanwhile, the Social Democratic Party saw a gain of 23 seats, securing their place as the Democratic Alliance's senior party.

Of the non-aligned parties, only Peace and Prosperity came out unscathed. The Localists, Citizens, and Green parties all saw electoral defeats, with each party only securing only 4, 3, and 5 seats respectively. Peace and Prosperity on the other hand, ended the night with an additional 4 seats; bringing their total to 9 seats in Parliament.

The election night successes of both the Nationalist Party and the SDP marked a significant realignment of the political landscape, as moderate voters who had overwhelming supported the CDP during previous elections, fled en masse into the arms of the Nationalist or SDP camps. These results are also likely to empower the moderate "light blue" faction of the Nationalist Party, to the detriment of the far-right leaning "dark blue" faction. Ostensibly a member neither faction, Prime Minister-designate Yuko Hayashi must carefully juggle the results of the election and the demands of both factions. Both factions on the surface have expressed unwavering support for Hayashi, and are more than likely vying for important cabinet positions.

Hayashi thanked her supporters in a late night address and promised to bring about a "national rejuvenation". In her address, she also acknowledged the Democratic Alliance and the work they have done for Chiho, and in a conciliatory statement, mentioned that "the desire to create a strong and prosperous Chiho transcends party affiliations".

Hayashi said that following the successful passage of the budget, which would contain a sizable increase in defence spending, her party would formally table a bill declaring Chiho's intent to join the Collective Security Alliance Treaty. Members of her party have also revealed that she intends to conduct a series of state visits to CSAT member states in order to drum up support, and build deeper relationships. Other rumoured budget priorities include infrastructure investments, support for state chartered corporations, and rural development funding.

Hayashi and the incoming members of parliament are expected to be sworn in within two weeks time.

Turnout for this election was 96.72%, a 1.17 percentage point increase from the 2020 General Election, with approximately 46,075,756 ballots cast.
This election has seen the highest participation since the introduction of compulsory voting in 2000.

The Ozeanische Perle, a cruise ship operated by the KWK, after 6 months of construction from the 19th of January to the 21st of June, has finally been completed and debuted recently at the port of Wasserhafen, charting a course for the city of Saumerhaven, it is said the ship will run cruises between the islands of Weitweg until February where it will begin to operate international cruises.
Being the lead ship for the Salzwasser Class cruise ships, it carries a gross tonnage of 258,100 and is fueled by LNG, and is powered by 6 Kurierin engines generating 68,000kW of power, with the engine able to use both LNG and Distillate oil. The Ship although produces energy and fresh water using various fuel cells.
The ship is massive, being at a length of 370m and a beam of 65m, being able to go at speeds up to 40km/h, it possesses a crew of 2,400 and can carry 5,700 passengers at double occupancy or 7,700 at full capacity.
The ship has 20 decks possessing 7 swimming pools, 5 water slides, a full size basketball court, a ice skating rink, surf simulator, aquatic theatre, 28 restaurants as well as a 1,500 seat theatre, it will also feature a infinity pool, the first of all ships operated by KWK.

On the 25th of September, recordbreaking rainfall had been recorded in the major city of Mauerstadt, being over 12.1cm, in some lower areas of the city, minor flooding had been recorded, so far, no citizens have been declared missing or killed, although large amounts of the city had to be shut down due to high precipitation, due to the fact that the rainfall occurred over not only one day, and the rainfall began to worsen mid day, several people were trapped outside of home due to the roads and transit being shut down due to immense rainfall, several people were also stuck on the road and had to be rescued, with severe disruption being recorded throughout the city, the city essentially shut down for a day due to large rainfall disabling all forms of travel, the city's metro also suffered flooding due to the rain trickling into the metro system and being unable to leave, causing it to become shut down for days, this would raise concern for the city's metro system and it's capability to handle rain.

On the 8th of November, a arms deal between the Commonwealth of Neuerstaat and the Republic of Arravan was signed, with Arravan purchasing 4 Stahlindustrie Walküres from the Nationale Luftwaffe, the Airforce of Neuerstaat, the Walküre is a UCAV or a Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle, being introduced fairly recently in 2023, the aircraft is one of the most advanced within the airforce, it's role is to be a loyal wingman which incorporates the usage of artificial intelligence as well as ground control crews to collaborate in combat with next generation fighters.
Unlike conventional UCAVs, the Walküre is expected to be able to survive on the battlefield but at a significantly lower cost than manned aircraft, it is also designated as a CCA or Collaborative Combat Aircraft.

From Queen to Kaiserin; The Birth of an Empire of Democracy
On Sunday, at 6:00 PM, the ceremony began, along with political leaders, cultural leaders, and military officers, the heads of states of Jayagal, Tromelin, Matomania, and Chiho also attended the ceremony. The ceremony began with the queen and her husband walking down the center of room. Due to the large scale destruction of the capital city, the ceremony had to be held in a cathedral in the city suburbs. The Queen sits in a makeshift throne on the stage of the church, her husbands sits towards her left. Four buglers two on each side of the room begin to play as the minister of defense walks towards her with a sword in one hand and a hard cover of the constitution in the other. The minister of defense as he reaches her, he displays the constitution in front of her as she places her hand on it. He then says "I, Elisabeth von Tanix", the queen repeats the line, "Solemnly swear to uphold, defend, and obey the letter and spirit of the constitution.", she repeats. "Until the end of my days", she repeats once more. He then raises the sword to separate the queen and himself, she stands up as he kneels displaying the sword to her. She grabs the sword, and as she lifts it and as she does 6 artillery pieces outside fire blank rounds in a gun salute. The Queen who lead the nation through a war, restored democracy, and given hope to her people, is now a Kaiserin.

The Time for Elections
As the constitution comes into effect, an election date was set for February. In the runup to the election, several new parties form. On the political left, the most radical party to form is the Tannisch Communist Unity Party. The TCUP lead by Karl Müller, has not been performing well in polls. They are only expected to win 5% of the vote, barely enough to hold any power in the country. The next is the Socialist Vanguard Party, this is the political evolution of the socialist militia's run by unions and workers who liberated several Tannisch cities. This is lead by Johanna Schulz, they are polling high due to their role in saving the nation from the tyranny of the previous government, they are expected to receive 15% of the vote in the upcoming elections propelling them to national prominence. Next is the Solidarity Party, a big tent coalition party made up of anywhere from progressives to neo-liberals. The solidarity is lead by Oksana Petrenko. The party is polling at about 25% of the vote. Two minor parties are the Republican Alliance party, a party solely dedicated to turning Tannenreich into a republic and formally abolishing the monarchy. Due to the popularity of the monarchy however from all sides of the political spectrum they remain very low in polling. The other party is the Greens, they are an environmentalist party who in the immediate wish to rebuild Tannenreich to be environmentally sustainable being primarily ran by clean energy. On the right you have the Fatherland Party, a general conservative party, the conservative party is a populist right wing party who supports protectionist policies. Even further right you have the God and Empire Party, this is a party that seeks the vast expansion of monarchical powers. Thus far into the campaign the now Kaiserin has remained neutral in politics however has said that in a modern democracy a monarch needs to "Know their place". The last party is one that is of the supporters of the former government, National Identity, due to the severe crimes of their idols they poll even worse than the Republican Alliance, they have several militia affiliates that have been agitators in political life, thus far no casualties however they are testing the nation's patience when considering reconciliation or total antihalation of the old government

ICC Issues Arrest Warrant for Old Government

In total, if found guilty of all 24 counts, Döhl will be sentenced to life imprisonment. Several of these charges have more than enough evidence beyond a reasonable doubt to land the disgraced former leader in prison for the remainder of his life. The extensive documentation by the Kaiserliche Landwehr of the Kyivisch concentration and death camps are more than enough to ensure that all four counts of genocide can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
