Thoughts on the Toothbrush Moustache?

It's kind of ridiculous looking. I'm split between saying it being taboo post-Hitler is a good thing, or whether its association with Nazism has ruined the fun in what could have been a light-hearted and silly historical fashion relic.

If it was just Chaplin etc I probably would have done one as a goof. But, I'm white and bald and just my 'wannabe Sons of Anarchy extra' goatee already makes me look racist as fuck, no need to step on that accelerator.

Even if Hitler never existed, the toothbrush moustache would have faded into obscurity all the same just like mutton chops. People wearing it today would not be suspected of being nazis but they would be mocked as hipsters.

If anything, I'd rather see more of the exact opposite, the Fu Manchu. On the right face with the right facial hair texture and the right length, it could conceivably be sexy.

To me there is something deeply suspect about the character of any man who puts that much effort into a moustache,
