It always offers good times, even though they've never really won

Their history's chief figure is The Salaxalans, who built it all
And loved potatoes so much he offered everybody two - by nuke
And often ballots citizens to save local potatoes - a big call
And has, for nine of its eleven years, cast ballots on bills just like you see here
And oversaw his homeland's rise to become a strong brick in the defender wall
And even made the Security Council watch what the simple potato can do!

They've kept regions safe over so many years, with just a little hint of POW!
Whether they're defying the fiendish occupiers of feeders and sinkers
Being so hot in certain eras of liberation that they really ought to take a bow
Working to eviscerate the most mean-spirited Nazi, fascist and hateful raiders
Or wiping every last bit of graffiti left by attackers no-one should praise now:
They're quite adept at lending a hand when needed the most by innocent others

To wrap things off, we need go no further than to give their diplomacy a shout:
They don't grill, mash or boil their alliess, but wrap them in a jacket of love
Many a time, sharing good vibes with friends such as ourselves is what they're about,
In short, they've led in culture, cuisine and military work with minimal fuss,

With 11,621 votes for and 2,421 votes against, it had a passing margin of 82.8%, with 17.2% voting against.
