“I wasn’t aware the Security Council was a choir all along,” she grumbled, already suffering a headache from the background noise. She winced as she sorted through the papers she’d been provided with. “At present, there are seven other proposals for this body, four of which are deemed legal. And instead of debating the merits and detriments of commending or condemning prominent nations, we’re arguing over lyrics about a foreign religious ceremony?”

She groaned and tossed up her hands- phone falling to the ground and cracking from the sudden gesture.

“Chudokuren leadership has always thought this institution was a farce. Prove them right for all I care. I thought this organisation was against weapons of mass destruction, and yet here you are forcing this sonic agony upon us all. Opposed, thoroughly and totally.”

With that, she awkwardly collected the damaged phone and sprinted off at a pace that suggested her fight or flight instinct had been triggered.

It saddens me that only a few others, including myself, seem to understand this reasoning.

The Security Council could be focusing on commendations, condemnations, or other things actually related to the international situation. Instead we have chosen to sing cheesy lyrics for a semi-religious or fully-religious holiday that some people do not celebrate, BEFORE Thanksgiving?

And also, what’s the point? This proposal should be repealed before Winter ends, so maybe around February, or dare I say January. This proposal will have a very short life once it has passed, anyways. ;P

Considering The Unfortunate Incident That Shall Not Be Named Which Led to the Untimely Downfall of the Late August Assembly Which Also Shall Not Be Named, this resolution very well may be an existential threat to the World Assembly. Indeed, there is a parallel universe more powerful than our own, and in this universe, there are arbitrary intellectual property laws which can only be subverted through an especially powerful employment of parody, which the World Assembly of that reality has ruled our own multiverse is incapable of.
