Since the opening days of 2022, Declansburg has stood among titans as one of the enormous regions in our world. The founding nation of this region has held steady in resolve, from the days of this region's inception, that the arc of history shall look favorably upon the good faith within which we operate our affairs.

On behalf of the region of Declansburg - and with the solidarity of our regional government - The Dáxlamic Evergreen Republic of New Bradfordsburg announces a complete cessation of poaching activities for all regions that are not formally affiliated with the raider community that has so unjustly brought so much destruction to countless good-natured regions both far and wide. We further extend our apologies to the non-aligned and defending aligned regions that previously withstood poaching from Declansburg.

Friends of Declansburg have graciously educated our administration and government to the delicate nuance of the world around us. We are appreciative for the counsel we have received, and we are mindful that the values of Declansburg, which include a belief in self-determination, are shared values, held by the numbered regions that spring to the defense of the weak.

Fortune has favored our region. As these words are spoken, Declansburg has withstood two failed attempts to topple our delegate: attacks that were perpetrated by separate armies. Our witness to these events has awoken us from our slumber. Fortune protected us, but we know that fortune can betray us. We must not leave our destiny up to chance. We must wake up and heed the call.

Therefore, let it be known. Our proud Evergreen Battalion is reporting for duty and has begun aiding recent defender siege efforts.

It is this battalion, so honorably named for the nation that refers to itself as "The Spirit of Declansburg," that shall meet the enemies of an emancipated world on the field. We are novices, but the world should not underestimate us. It is us, Declansburg, that captured Layem Auxiliary Force, which was re-founded and properly designated to Antifa by Declansburg's mercenaries. We have shown the world that we can accomplish an important mission, and do so honorably. And,we shall now show them many times over.

We are proud to make this announcement, and it is with the utmost sincerity that I state New Bradfordsburg's privilege in inaugurating this official gameplay embassy for Declansburg.

I know that this policy has created a decent amount of ill will in the past, but as the new WA delegate and Prime Minister, I have taken it upon myself to repair some of the bridges that have been damaged by this policy.

We have also created what we call the Evergreen Battalion, a group of volunteer nations that will contribute to defender operations as a militia force. As such, we have aligned with various defender regions, including The League.

Declansburg will have to answer that one for you, but "formally affiliated with the raider community" (as opposed to "has an embassy with raider region X") very much seems to imply "actually being raiders".

...ok "ideologically aligned" is still not very tangible or specific but at least "carrying out the practice of raiding" is a clear well defined line.

Declansburg's Evergreen Battalion first began participating in Libcord operations during the minor update of November 28, 2022. Since then, Declansburg has been a participant in Libcord opertations for 17 out of 24 updates: a participation rate of over 70%.

Evergreen Battalion has assisted in liberation efforts, detagging operations and has recieved critical experience in the early days of our involvement.
As novices, we're appreciative of all the help we have recieved, and we're thankful for the patience of the Libcord commanders as we learn the ropes.

Also this week, Declansburg has opened an embassy with The League. This means a lot to our region, and to the Evergreen Battalion.

We're very proud to be where we are today, and looking forward to the future growth as defenders.

Since our last update, Evergreen Battalion forces have proudly participated in two liberations: that of New Westphalia and Islamic States in coordination with our defending partners in the LDF and beyond. We have also since run our first solo operation, an anti-fascist detagging op in Dextria.

Dextria, a young region with previously stated ambitions to recruit, had chosen a fascist tag for themselves. We saw an opportunity to attain the delegacy in this region and remove the fascist tag as a warning, so we took it. Fascism is a movement of hatred and discrimination, and therefore needs to be denied a platform wherever one exists. After removing the tag and asking the region to reconsider their choices in the future, we resigned from the WA. No delegate was toppled in the operation.

Furthermore, we have released new guidance for our citizens on how to join Evergreen Battalion in the form of a dispatch. We are still attempting to grow in numbers, and we have some work to do with recruitment.

We're pleased to also reaffirm our commitment to conforming with international norms when it comes to recruitment. For this reason, and for the fact that we have not engaged any activity that could be considered poaching since our previous commitment was vocalized, we have been removed from The North Pacific's retaliatory recruitment telegram list. We thank Hulldom in The North Pacific for removing us from the list.

We have also endured the NationStates shutdown without issue, though we are a leaner and slimmer region now. We had lots of fun during the shutdown, as we had a map placement lottery on our Discord server, which decided the order nations got to make their selections for initial placement. Morale is good in Declansburg, as the RP of our new map is entering full swing.

February was a month that saw Declansburg grow back over 400 nations. The month featured our 2023 Declansburg Hockey Cup, and our participation in N-Day activities. With the region's growth in February, a number of new nations were added to the regional map. The Founder's Office also used the month to rework our recruitment telegrams and the region's welcome telegram.

We congratulate Xitizian States for winning the 2023 Declansburg Hockey Cup. Xitizian States was the longest shot to win the cup, but came out victorious. Because of that, they were our featured nation of the month. During N-Day, Declansburg had dozens of nations participating in the Potato Alliance. The N-Day event was popular in the region, and we're proud of how long the Potato Alliance was able to hold out, and our role in the alliance's impressive show of strength.

February also featured the beginning of the 2035 Declansburg Basketball Season/Tournament. The season continues into March, when playoffs will be held in the theme of March Madness. Will Xitizian States pull off another upset Cinderella run as they fight for a playoff spot?

Without further ado, we present Declansburg's monthly update.

Declansburg is very proud to announce that we have opened an embassy with The North Pacific. Along with TNP, March saw Declansburg partnering with the NationStates Trans Alliance: "an alliance of Transgender and Non-Binary people on NationStates, that seeks to promote and protect Trans Rights, and ensure NationStates is a safe place for Trans people to spend time." Our region is proud have signed on as an early partner with the NationStates Trans Alliance.

Additionally, we've established embassies with Democritus and The Labyrinth. We look forward to lasting partnerships with all the aforementioned regions, and we especially thank the leadership of The North Pacific for their acceptance of Declansburg's embassy application.

March ended with growth in Declansburg and was a busy time for the region, with the conclusion of the region's Championship Basketball League, which saw Korbalis win a men's championship and Staidear winning a women's championship. The region passed laws banning herbicidal warfare and amended our EMP weapons ban. The Evergreen Battalion was also involved with defending in operations in England. During March the region continued to recruit, and continued to process new nations into the regional assembly, which has grown to over 50 nations.

A campaign to increase the region's endorsements on the delegate during March was successful. In that later half of March, Declansburg went from a 50% to a 70% regional endorsement percentage on the Delegate. As a result, Staidear became the region's first senior delegate, an unofficial title designated as such by the world at large upon reaching the mark of 75 endorsements. We applaud Staidear, and the region, for this achievement.

April and May have been nothing short of dynamic and active in Declansburg. Our region's sporting spirit has been at an all-time high as our 24-team baseball and softball league heads into the playoffs. We eagerly anticipate the thrilling matches that lie ahead and wish all the teams the best of luck. In matters of regional governance, we announce the re-election of Lussia as our esteemed Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Our regional spirit has been invigorated by the series of events held in recently. One such event was the regional cuisine competition. The event not only celebrated the diverse culinary traditions within our region but also provided an opportunity for cultural exchange and appreciation. Furthermore, we hosted a realistic art competition. The competition showcased the immense artistic talent that thrives within our community.

In governance, we also announce the appointment of Staidear as successor to the governor position, which currently known as Lýderis in Declansburg. Staidear's dedication to the betterment of our region and their commitment to serving the community have made them a worthy candidate for this appointment. Moreover, we take pride in highlighting that our regional assembly has achieved a historic milestone. With a record-breaking number of active participants, our assembly has become the largest in Declansburg's history.

Things continue to go well in Declansburg, with peace reigning supreme, and we look forward to naming the champions of our baseball and softball playoffs in our next update. This summer, our region eagerly awaits regional Olympics. The hype builds!

Hello friends!

I am Vobron, the newley elected incoming Prime Minister and WA Delegate for Declansburg. Staidear, our former PM has taken off the mantle after a term nothing short of legendary and moved up as our new Governor! I just want to take this time to give our regional friends an introduction to myself, let you all now about my goals as Prime Minister, and updates on Declansburg itself.

To start, I am sure some of you are wondering why Staidear has become our Governor or Lýderis. On June 16th, New Bradsfordsburg our founder announced that they were retiring and would be offically transferring the role to Staidear. New Bradsfordsburg has been our founder and leader for a better part of two years and served our region with much dignity and respect. However, everyone needs to take care of themselves and New Bradsfordsburg wanted to take more time for their own personal life. Since then Staidear has been our official governor, with New Bradsfordsburg taking on the role as an official assembly nation and the ceremonial Minister of Culture role.
As Declanburg’s next PM I look to continue what Staidear started, maintaining and improving relations with our friends and making new ones along the way. I also will continue to support Evergreen Battalion efforts, occasionally being a part of a few myself in the past. The final notable thing I look forward to doing is working with our Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lussia to create a system of ambassadors. Different nations from Declansburg representing us in different regions all working to improve our relations in this great big world around us.

It seems timely to revive this embassy after New Bradfordsburg was elected Foreign Minister (thank you good nations of Declansburg!) So, first up...

Let's talk about what Declansburg has been up to - here's the OOC lowdown:

As a region now in our third year, we've worked to keep things fresh for our nations. Over the past few weeks, we've transitioned to a glorious new map! Lots of work for the regional cartographer (oh hay that's me) and the new map also brings a new era! The year is Mambo Number 1994! It's now the 90's in Declansburg's RP! So we will be steadfastly preparing for Y2K and slowly realizing that we shouldn't rely solely on fossil fuels for energy consumption whilst also realizing that we may or may not have the collective will to stop. Fun!

SO we've been doing that. Focusing on the health of our community, our members. But we're open for business now. We're recruiting aiming to grow this winter (or summer if you live in the Southern Hemisphere)!

Declansburg Seeks Expanded Relations with Like-Minded Regions

Declansburg is open for business. After being elected to the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, New Bradfordsburg is announcing that Declansburg is seeking new regions to be friends with. Our region sees this as a time of growth, and rebirth. We've reassessed our positions on the world stage and we remain squarely aligned in solidarity with the Libcord alliance that continues to prove to the world that defenders will answer the call. We seek to expand our diplomatic ties with regions that share this position. As always, our doors are also open to discuss diplomatic ties with independent regions as well.

Regional officers abroad who are interested in establishing diplomatic ties are encouraged to telegram New Bradfordsburg stating this intention. With the right regions, we believe embassies can be mutually beneficial. Good embassies strengthen regions, and Declansburg is looking for more good embassies.

About Declansburg: Entering its third year, Declansburg is now on its second governor and its fourth elected-Prime Minister. The region is governed by a Constitution and the Declansburg Assembly, along with an elected regional government. Declansburg considers itself a welcoming community that is intolerant of intolerance. Although the region is known as largely left leaning, only fascist nations are prohibited from the region. Full citizenship in Declansburg is contingent on WA membership.
