Following the conviction of the local MP,
financial advice company-owner and former Household Cavalry officer,
Colonel William “Shake-spear*” Thorne for money laundering,
Westbourg-on-Avon are electing a new MP.

Candidates include


Superintendent (ret’d) Robert ‘Bob’ Mason (A former police tactical unit officer known for views others would consider offensive, representing the Conservative-Patriotic Party on a platform of law and order and right-wing populism)

Sikandar Khan BA MPE** (a Philosophy and Politics graduate and former police officer standing for the Liberal Party, standing on a platform of “old-fashioned liberalism”, support for the rule of law and opposition both to discrimination such as racism and sexism and to left-wing social engineering carried in the name of solving the problem)

Dr. William ‘Will’ Kent PHD (A Philosophy lecturer standing for the Labour Party, running on a left-wing platform)

The area
An affluent suburb of Bridgeplace home to three private secondary schools and a Tudor era gatehouse.

*Called such in reference to his liking for bayonet charges.

The Liberals win the seat, combined with the loss of Churnchestershire County Council (also to the Liberals) and Churnchester Town Council (to the Greens), parliamentary confidence in Sir Lawrence Jeffrey Clifton is at a major low.
Here are the percentages:
Inspector Sikandar Khan BA MPE MP (Lib) 50.5%

Superintendent Robert ‘Bob’ Mason GDPM* (Con)- 30.5%

Dr. William ‘Will’ Kent PHD (Lab)- 19%
*Grand Duke’s Police Medal
