Peace talks between Rehaajl and East Lankia (Western Isles)

Najimam has been following with great concern the tensions that didn't cease to rise in the past few days between Rehaajl and East Lankia. Najimam's ministry of foreign affairs made great efforts to help ease the tensions and convinced both sides to hold an urgent meeting to resolve the situation.

Today at 10am, representatives of Rehaajl and East Lankia met face to face at Najimam's Majlis Castle where big meetings are usually held. Tension was felt in the air, the Najimamian minister of foreign affairs Houssain Chakour was trying his best to create a friendly atmosphere. After greetings and introductions it was time to get to the objective of the meeting.

The minister talked first:

We are here to do the right thing. We are here to open a new chapter between two neighbors. We are here to stop fighting and save lives. Peace is always the right solution, and we are here to get to that solution. I expect the honorable representatives of Rehaajl and East Lankia to reach a historic agreement that will lead to peace and prosperity for the two nations and I can't stress enough how important it is to get out of here with everyone shaking hands and starting over. Rest assured that Najimam will provide all means necessary to help you reach the best solution and make it a reality. I can't hide that I'm very optimistic and I hope that today will be in the history books. We shall start the negotiations and I hope that you share the same will and determination I'm showing right now.

After the East Lankan Representative was done talking, the Rehaajlian Representative, Lanbzen Mijked, spoke.

The reason we are not trading is that the fact that, many Lankans may sneak on board trade ships to get in or out of your Great Country.

The Rehaajlian Representative takes a breath.

The only way we can stop this is having Limited Trade. When your crazy people become ok with staying in the country that they live in, then we can have normal Trade.

Sorry about that, Malachi Blackwood, I just haven't been in this type of conflict in years. I think what we should do is allowing travel to and from our countries.

The Najimamian minister locks his eyes on the Rehaajlian representative with a meaningful look before speaking again:

I see that we've made some good progress here. We have all day so let's take it slow and make sure we're negotiating with the utmost respect. I understand that some of the honorable representatives may not like or agree with what they'll hear from the other side, but we're here to share different points of view and get close to a unified vision of future relations. I urge everyone to make more efforts to stay calm and work on comprehending the other's perspective.

Very Well, as I was about to say, I think that promoting Travel between our Two Nations will help our two nations restore our Relations.

He then thought to himself about what he needed to discuss next and Continued on.

My Government is Proposing the Idea of further restoring our Relations by having our Presidents meet together, this does not have to be a Diplomatic Meeting, but can be more of a Banquet where our two leaders can talk about whatever they want and get to know and understand eachother, we promise that they will have maximum security on them, and your president will be completely safe.

This is a great idea, but Dzobhaam Zhikhin might not like the idea of going to another country, epically one with current conflicts.

The Rehaajlian Representative then puts on a rude look.

The only thing we need to do is let you have more communist supporters, that will make our leader less likely to have a war.

The minister quickly interferes:

Ahem... I would suggest that we stay away from bringing up any sorts of political ideologies for the sake of making this meeting a successful one. We came here to primarily get past previous conflicts and start a new page, and we'll only achieve that by focusing on solving the issues that matter. The issues that led to all these conflicts in the first place. You have to show some tolerance to each other, that would make talks more fluid and effective. Don't you agree, mister Mijked?
I can arrange a meeting between the two presidents in Najimam. That would be a much better idea and consider it done if you both agree. I'm all ears.

I am fine with this, but you have to make sure that the place has NO sight in the public eyes, ok?

The Rehaajlian Representative then slams the table.

If one person sees Rehaajl's leader then the talk will be destroyed!

The Rehaajlian then yells:

The East Lankan representative spoke before things could get more heated in the Meeting

We assure your Mr.Mijekd, the public will be made non aware of this Event. But if you could, I think the Public should at least know that our two leaders are meeting, we will keep the Location and Time of this Meeting unknown to the Public, all they’re know is our two presidents are meeting somewhere, could that work?

The Rehaajlian Representative then takes a breath.

I hope your stupid country likes this, because there will be no talk between our leaders, so GOODBYE!

The Rehaajlian Representative then leaves.

The East Lankan representative Takes a breath to himself, and then sadly leaves the Najiamam Diplomat a goodbye before also leaving since there was nothing else to do.

As soon as the meeting ended, a quick report was filed to the Najimamian government leader. The outcome was expected and thus the ministry was ready for it. Measures were taken to stay in contact with both sides and delay any suspicious action that could lead to chaos. It is a critical time, the Najimamian diplomacy is making great efforts to prevent the worst from happening and plans to hold another round of talks in the near future
