SUBMITTED: In the Pink or Whitewashed History?

Postby Australian rePublic » Sun Sep 11, 2022 10:01 pm

So, being of Greek ancestry, I based this off Greek islands like Kythera or Mykonos or Santorini, but it could also apply to places all over the Mediterranean such as Azenhas do Mar, Portugal or Frigiliana, Spain or Chefchaouen, Morocco (the later is blue, but close enough).

[validity] all, I guess

[desc] The Lefkada Islands, an archipelago off the coast belonging to @@NAME@@ have a long tradition of white buildings, which was enshrined into law at some point in the last century. However, the residents of Asprida, one of the most popular of the islands, have painted their houses bright pink to protest against such a law.

[effect] houses are so colourful that they have often been described as unicorn vomit

[option] "We need to preserve the historic value of the homes in the so called Lefkada Islands." Suggests @@RANDOMNAME@@, a noted historian, who came to use your printer to print a copy of a journal of fossilised faeces from ancient toilets. We need to prosecute those who fail to comply with the pale colour scheme of the archipelago!"

I like this issue. It's a classic debate between embracing change or embracing tradition and I like the perspective you took in this issue.
(Here are some of my suggestions. They might be horrible but I'll throw them out there anyways)

Option 1 Result: I have a suggestion for this: "houses in the Lefkoda Islands are so colorful that they have been described to look like a unicorn vomitted"

Option 2 Result: The current result is somewhat boring. I have a suggestion for this: "in the Lefkoda Islands, white isn't the presence of all colors"

Option 4: This option is invalid for nations that have banned clothing/ the wearing of clothing since you mention the speaker to be wearing clothes.

Fixed, thanks. Though, effect lines have to make sense without context, so I added that effect line without mentioning the Lefkada Islands, as those islands wouldn't make sense without the context

[spoiler]

Good spot, fixed, thanks

You need to submit your issue name as (DRAFT] instead of ISSUE IDEA.

Good issue.

Here below my comments:

Regarding option 2:

archielagos in the effect line should be archipelagos.

For option 4, nice is mentioned twice.
