The recent edition of the Landa vy Polkopiya saw five acts competing in the Grand Final of Polkopia's most popular domestic musical competition. With sounds that ranged from pulsating ethnopop beats to muted funk tones, it was an edition of the Landa vy Polkopiya many did not want to miss. After a night filled with much excitement, it was Staša Redd who would emerge victorious with her song, Higher. The song is said to remain entirely in English and will be Polkopia's official entry to the 101st Worldvision Song Contest.

You can find more details about Polkopia's entry to the 101st Worldvision Song Contest below:

IT'S OVER!

World, stop voting now! We have multiple results to give, one being your new Worldvision Committee, and the other one being your host for the 101st Worldvision Song Contest. Thanks to all who voted, and I'm please to announce the following:

1) Malta Comino Gozo (average ranking of 2.2)
2) Britonisea (average ranking of 2.64)
3) Aenglide (average ranking of 3.18)
4) Alezian Union (average ranking of 3.45)
5) Carrelie (average ranking of 3.55)

------------------------------
6) Strayaroos (average ranking of 5.6)

A huge congratulations to our lucky five and commiserations to our unlucky one who missed out. Next, we have the results of the host voting! This edition, we had three really high-quality bids, and it's a shame we can only pick one. However, rules are rules, and this is how people voted:

Buaka, South Batoko with 108 points!

St.Christoper, Llalta with 118 points!

Lipa, Besen with 134 points!

A hearty congratulations to our host and commiserations to our runner-ups. Once again, three amazing bids, and I do hope to see either nation host Worldvision soon! As we prepare for the new Committee, I wanted to once again thank everyone for making Worldvision so great and it was a pleasure serving on the Committee to make Worldvision great for everyone! Best of luck, everyone!

Hey everyone! Apologies for the late post but this is a congratulations to our new host: Lipa, Besen, and commiserations to our second and third-placing host city bids. We'd love to see you try again in future editions and who knows, you may be successful!

We also have our new committee members, congratulations to you all! Heart-filled commiserations to our sixth-ranked committee running member who was just unable to make it there.

Anyway, we get to celebrate our new host for the 101st Worldvision Song Contest, the city of Lipa, Besen, which has previously hosted in the 72nd edition, so congratulations for the city's second hosting! Our great new host has posted the link to the IC thread just above this post, and it can also be found on the OP on this thread.

Just a reminder, the soft deadline has been set at 12 hours. This means the deadline is 30th August 2022, 08:00 (AM), UTC+1 - British Time..

If those who have withdrawn can get an entry up in that time, feel free.

This will probably be the only time the soft deadline will be at 12 hours and we'll be sure to set a maximum number of hours a host can have and have it written somewhere.

If you have a question relating to the televoting, please don't forget to ask us!

Televote Spreadsheet & WV102

Congratulations to the winner of the 101st WorldVision Song Contest - Ertzei Kishim, well done for winning your seventh title. A hearty congratulations for the host, Besen too!

The Televote Spreadsheet can be found by clicking that link - I hope you enjoy a good browse of that.

..also...

SIGN UPS TO WORLDVISION SONG CONTEST 102 ARE OPEN

Spiritual Republic of Caryton failed to vote with both nations in both the jury and televote resulting in two strikes. This means receive a one-edition ban and thus ineligible to participate at the 102nd WorldVision Song Contest.

Australe has received a strike for not voting in either the jury or televote, but can participate at the 102nd WorldVision Song Contest.

An extra week has been added onto the start of the contest as the committee review will happen during the first week of the contest. During this week, we will discuss matters that we brought up in our manifesto, or other issues raised by members of the community. We will vote on these matters before continuing the contest as normal. This means potential bidders and those wanting to sign up have an extra week. Decisions made will directly affect WV102 onwards.

Upon calculating the televote for the 101st WorldVision Song Contest, I noticed that the spreadsheet does not account for nations who failed to vote, but had received jury points. This meant in past editions of the contest, potentially the number of points allocated in the jury (after disqualification of non voters) did not match the number of points allocated in the televote. The result of the 101st WorldVision Song Contest is final and you can see on the final page that the number of points are equal, and this is a feature that will remain on the spreadsheet going forwards. During the committee review an investigation, conducted by me, will see me going through past editions of the contest to check whether there has been an equal 50/50 split between the Jury & Televote, and I will attempt to rectify the issue (official results will be uploaded to the wiki). For more information, feel free to @ me on discord or send me a telegramme (bare in mind I am the one conducting the investigation).

A big congrats to Kish! And also Indo States for finally cracking the top 10, incredible!

And of course, thank you all for the 10th place! "Lifeline" didn't actually do that well in the last Starfall NF when removing my votes and Iz's Illenium stan votes :P, and it just barely edged into the top half in WHF64, so I was fully ready to crash into the 15th to 20th region this WorldVision. Very happy to be blessed with a top 10 instead.

With that, thank you to Besen for hosting this edition and following through with everything! Very fun and shocking to watch the televote reveal, big respect for going through all that animation and such.

Anyway hope to see you all back soon!
