Hmm it seems like we have Airsuperiority so our jets only have to worry about MAN-pads. And your troops are currently invading Samos, Santorini and Icaria do you think it be a good idea if we land with troops at to other side of Icaria and Santorini, and is there any other specific point where you need support?

The Troops Requested Air Support, since the Landings were only Minutes Away. They also requested for Landing to be made in those locations. The Troops Stormed the Beach, Armed with Rifles, Sub Machine Guns and Heavy Machine Guns, they Piled onto the Islands. The Rebels fought fierce, they stabbed and shot. Just like the Japanese, they believed the Most Honorable Thing to Do was Die in Battle, So they Suicide bombed mass amounts of Troops. The Invasions have showed progress on the Island of Santorini.

Atlantic Ocean
29APR2022, 1857
Praefectus Nauarchus Oppius Quinctilius Otho stood on the bridge of the Quasar Class aircraft carrier Pulsar, watching the ships of the fast resupply squadron head away. In his hand he had a manila parcel that was hand delivered by the CO of that squadron with orders not to open it until he got a specific order to from Foreign Interest Defense Command. Gripping the parcel, it was soft, almost as if it was made of fabric. He figured it may be a new uniform for the Republic Navy. There’s always talk of changing the uniforms, but nothing ever comes of that.
Sighing, he turns to the captain of the ship, Trierarchus Aelia Vibia. Vibia rose quickly through the ranks, being one of the youngest Trierarchus in the Republic Navy, showing very quickly her knack for leadership and naval strategy. Her capability was shown to be appreciated by upper command when she was given leadership of RRS Pulsar. “Trierarchus Vibia, are my ships ready?”
“Nauarchus, your ships are ready to make way” came the traditional reply from Vibia.
“Good. Continue on our original heading bef-“ he was cut off by a call from the comm officer.
“Nauarchus, message coming in, encryption type indicates it’s from Command. We have orders to turn to the Mediterranean Sea at best speed.” Otho turned to Vibia, his eyebrows raised, “Is that all the orders say, Nautae?”
“No sir, it continues to say that we are to change our mission to FONOPs and ensure that no civilian sea traffic is being harassed by naval forces fighting in the civil war that recently broke out in the Greek Islands.”
Otho knew the unstated part as well. He was following the updates in the war and saw that GCN nations were involved. We would be expected to keep tabs on them and take reconnaissance. “Thank you, Nautae”, he tuned to Vibia “Trierarchus, how long will it take us to make it to the Straight of Gibraltar?”
Vibia glanced over the charts and performed rough calculations in her head. “Based on our current position, and the battlegroup’s best speed, 3 days.”
“Thank you. Please make it so. If you need me, I will be in my office.” And with that, Otho left the bridge, leaving Vibia to make the orders turning Battlegroup ATLANTIS toward the Mediterranean Sea.

Atlantic Ocean – 1 Day from Strait of Gibraltar
1MAY2022, 1123
Otho was sitting at his desk reading over the latest intelligence report on the Romanic forces occupying Gibraltar. IMINT from one of the Republic Space Force’s imaging satellites showed the military posture to be relaxed, which was good. It also appeared to have a carrier battle group stationed there, which was fair. If Otho was in charge, it would’ve stationed one there as well. The report that concerned him more, however, was the fact that a large portion of the Romanic nuclear arsenal was stationed there. It baffled Otho why a nation would put such a large number of nuclear weapons in Gibraltar, of all places. They would’ve been better off putting them somewhere more hidden on the continent itself. But the Romanic Imperium had stationed nukes there, and a large naval force passing by may make them jumpy, so he had to play with the hand he was dealt.
Sighing, he paged his aide, more of a secretary, really, to tell Trierarchus Vibia to come to his office. It only took 3 minutes for her to arrive “You wanted to see me Nauarchus?” she said after being let in by the aide.
“Yes, Trierarchus Vibia. Have you had a chance to look over the most recent intelligence report?”
“Yes sir. Gibraltar shouldn’t give us any trouble, but I wouldn’t want to attempt to cross it if we were at war with the Romanic Imperium.”
“Agreed,” replied Otho, who leaned back in his chair, stretching a little. He had been sitting too long. “Nevertheless, I want to make sure out intentions are very clear. When we get closer to Gibraltar, say, in 12 hours, I want a message to be broadcasted.” He leaned over, opened a drawer, rifled through some files, opened one, picked out a paper, and handed it to Vibia.
She glanced at it and then read aloud “Attention, this is the New Roman Imperium Battlegroup ATLANTIS. We are on a Freedom of Navigation Operation. Any interference will be considered a violation of the Convention on the Law of the Sea. Thank you.” She nodded and folded the paper to put it into her tunic pocket. “I will make sure comms gets this and has it broadcasting on open frequencies no later than 12 hours from now.
“Thank you Trierarchus. Also make sure that we have a decent CAP up during that time as well. If the Romanic commander decides that the seas are in fact not free to navigate, I don’t want to be caught with my pants down. And of course, the usual E-3 flight must be up, same reason. Finally, I want an E-3B up as well during that time. No reason to waste a passage without it.”
Vibia nodded her agreement “Understood. Is that all, sir?”
“Yes, it is Trierarchus. Let me know when the message goes out and my requested air cover is established.”
“Yes sir!” she replied. And with that, she turned and left the office. Otho got up and did a proper stretch, this time. Checking his watch, he decided it was a good time to break for lunch. Today the mess was serving corned beef sandwiches for lunch, one of his favorites.

Otho stood on the bridge staring out at the darkness of the ocean. He took a sip of his coffee. It’s been a long day, and there was a chance the night would be longer still. “Status report from the E-3?”
“It indicates there are no incoming bogeys” responded the controller.
“Good” Otho muttered. He walked over to the comms station and clasped the young officer sitting there on the shoulder, noticing him tense slightly. “Nautae, can you please bring up the message from the Romanic forces again?”
“Yes, sir” came the reply with some quick typing, and the message flashed on the screen. “So, they want to know our mission is and where we are going. Very well,” he straightened up and grabbed a headset “Nautae, open me a channel to the Romanic base.”
“Channel open, sir”.
Donning the headset, the CO of the battlegroup said “Romanic Military Base at Gibraltar, this is Praefectus Nauarchus Oppius Quinctilius Otho, commanding officer of the New Roman Imperium Republic Navy Battlegroup ATLANTIS. As stated in our broadcast, we are on a Freedom of Navigation Operation to ensure the Convention on the Law of the Sea is being followed in the Mediterranean Sea. Per this, we shall stay in international waters and ensure no civilian shipping is being harassed by belligerents participating in the intervention in Cypriot-Rhodes. Based on our current position and speed, we are about” he glanced at navigation “12 hours from the Strait. We hope for an uneventful passing in the morning. Over” Otho slashed his hand across his throat, indicating to the Nautae to close the channel. The Nautae nodded when he had done so.
“And now we wait” said Otho.

When the Nautae finished reading the message, the bridge was stunned silent. “Why in Neptune’s name would they want us to dock at Gibraltar?” asked a junior officer. A look from Vibia silenced him.
“Nauarchus,” she started, but was cut off by Otho when he raised his hand.
“No, we are not going to do that” he said in reply to the unasked question. “Comms, begin sending status updated to FIDC every 15 minutes. I have a feeling they’re not going to honor freedom of navigation of international waters and the Convention on the Law of the Sea.” Sighing, he grabbed the headset again, and donned it. The comms officer opened the channel.
“Greetings, Commander Quantum. I believe we have a misunderstanding. We will not be entering the national waters of any nation but sticking to International Waters. We will continue into the Mediterranean, steam around for a week, and then leave. At no point will we enter any nation’s territorial waters. At no point will we dock at a port or military installation. As we stated in our broadcast, interference with FONOPs is a violation of the Convention on the Law of the Sea. Over.”
