Lazarus Cup Of Nations I
Welcome to the first ever Lazarus Cup of Nations, hosted by Saterun. This is a regional tournament for any nation in Lazarus. It is for football(soccer).
Format
The preferred format would be 4 groups of 4, but if we can't reach that number, then it will be in either smaller groups or a straight knockout, with aggregated rounds up until the final. Because this is the first CoN, the groups/pairings will be random and unseeded. More detail will be added to the RP/Results thread because we will have a number of signups. The schedule is aiming to start in mid-Feburary, but the number and efficiency of signups may mean that it could change.
Signups
If you wish to sign up, just say so in the thread. Rosters should be saved for the RP/Results thread. Important: Any post in this thread that is not explicitly stated as not a signup will be treated as one. For example, "We sign up for the Lazarus Cup of Nations", "Aye", and "Moo" will all be treated as signups.
Match Scorinating
Because this is the first tournament, the scores will be entirely based on Roleplaying. If you haven't roleplayed before or don't even know what I'm talking about, check out the Guide to Sports Roleplaying thread. Teams will be allowed a style modifier(Attacking, Possession, Balance, Counter, Defensive) that will dictate how their team plays, but most of the difference will be in the roleplay. A good ole match report is always nice, but it is also nice to mix it up a bit. Remember, everything I'm saying here is for the RP/Results thread.
Puppet Rules
Each nation is allowed one puppet nation to enter. These must be confirmed by the main nation entering. Puppet will act mainly as a place filler, and main nations will be given precedence.
