Welcome to WonderMart Store #1309. Set in the remarkably unremarkable retail landscape of suburban Indiana, the super-sized megastore is home to a unique family of employees destined to find success, joy, and heartache in life’s small, ordinary moments. From bright-eyed newbies and seen-it-all retail veterans to clueless summer hires and in-it-for-life management, together they work hand in glove to confront the day-to-day grind of rabid bargain hunters, riot-causing sales and sleep-inducing training sessions; all while productivity is stymied at every turn by oafish upper management, selfish career-gunners, bureaucratic red tape, and a myriad of other challenges.
PLAYER CHARACTERS are employees or locals who, for whatever the reason, have found themselves involved in the daily affairs of Store #1309. Are you a high-maintenance frequent-flyer who spends most of their time complaining at the service desk? Are you a paranoid retiree working subversively to confirm some sinister conspiracy theory? Or are you just a tired college student looking to earn some extra cash? The choice is yours!
The RP is a passive/semi-realistic narrative, and was created to be reminiscent of stories like The Office and Superstore in the most basic of sense. The RP will largely be a sandbox, and there is no right way to go about things.
