Canada should be in the USA's sphere because of geography and economics.

Well.....he did say future. You never know Canada might get its act together and diversify its trade a little more, which is a growing possibility.

I'm still skeptical. It's a lot easier for us to export oil, lumber etc. to a resource hungry neighbour two or three hours away, than it is to trade with someone across an ocean.

"Never be deceived that the rich will permit you to vote away their wealth." - Lucy Parsons
Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, citizen ownership of equity, or any combination of these. There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them. They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.

I think it could go one of three ways:

China as a hegemon
China/India as the new US/USSR
A multipolar world, with several regional powers: US, Brazil, South Africa, EU, India, China, Australia, possibly a couple of others.

There's going to be three major blocs: India and Iran, Pakistan and China, and America and NATO. Russia's going to be left out in the cold, and either become a fourth bloc in its own right or join the one currently most friendly to its interests.
Quick and dirty guide to factions in Mediterranea, and puppets to serve as examples:
-Free Assembly - decentralized group of local associations. Main faction.
-Workers' Republic - anarcho-syndicalist commune
-República Morsica (Betico)
-Republic of Lusca
-Catholic State (The Archbishop of Siraucsa)

Why are India and Iran going to work together? -_-

I very much doubt they would . . . .actually those "pacts" look mighty familiar . . . .I think someone may have been reading a little to much Orson Scott Card

I have no idea who Orson Scott Card is. Look, China and Pakistan have a history of cooperation, India and Iran have one, and America is part of NATO. That's my rationale.
