Now I don't know the law in other countries outside of America, because frankly I don't usually fuck people outside of America, but when I was at the ripe young age of eighteen I was going out with this girl named Ashly.

Now take note this was quite some time before I met my current girlfriend who I've been going out with for four years now. Anyways I had finished high school not too long before that, and I met Ashly while I was in school. We had been dating for a few months now, screwed a few times, but now that I was eighteen it was now technically against the law. I had never met her parents before, and then she brought up that I should. I was so fucking scared that I was going to be turned in by her parents because I was I was an adult going out with a girl in high school that I broke up with here.

So I ask you random people I've never met in person, what's your view on statutory rape and have you ever had experiences with such things?

I personally believe that the law should vary in cases such as mine where an eighteen year old is fucking a sixteen year old. Possible some kind of three or two year limit.

Here In Ireland even if both people are underage, 15, 15, 16 years old maybe, and both consenting, and even if it was the girls idea, only the boy can get charged with statutory rape, which i think is just stupid. Or so a teacher of mine told me, age of consent is 17... I think.

Um. I accidentally had sex with a 16 year old girl (who told me the night before she was 18) and I am 20. I was kind of freaking out there cuz I thought I was going to have what I did to her done to me in prison. Fortunately Washington state isn't that anal [no pun intended] about it, and age of consent is 16 (as long as your not her teacher). So all is well in the world.

I think one thing that really annoys me about this. Is it has good intentions. But does turning 18 or 16 really make you more mature? Or some how a point in time where you cross a magical line that makes a difference? It's just like turning a certain age to smoke, drink, and drive.
