It seems like whatever I choose my black market will go up and it have been abnormally skyrocketing for several days, is there anyway to fix it? Many thanks!

As far as I’m aware, the black market exists as a percentage of your overall economy. As your economy expands with population growth, the size of the black market will grow proportionally. Certain issues can increase or decrease what percentage of your economy the black market encompasses, but I don’t believe it’s possible to entirely remove it, just temporarily shrink it.

Unfortunately increasing your nation's Economic Freedom tends to increase its Black Market too... even when this doesn't make sense, because as you're removing laws against selling certain types of goods or services you're making it possible for legitimate businesses to sell those & thus reducing the black market's scope...

Pretty much. According to my economy page, my nation's black market officially comprises 0% of the economy, yet the stats still value it at $24 billion. So it still exists, and probably always will, as is the case irl

I think it depends a lot not only on what specifically you legalize or ban, but how regulated your general/white market is as well.

I think an NS stat with the black market as a proportion to your economy would be a good one as it allows a comparative measure of how much your black market is compared to your entire economy. My black market is around 120 billion (currency) but my economy much more massive while smaller countries may have a similar size black market but have a much smaller economy.

I suggest increasing law enforcement. That seems to work for me.
