We are here and the Olympics are beginning!
We welcome all competing nations to the Ist A Taco Archipelago Olympic Games!
This year's host, Krystalveil, would also like to welcome you!

The opening ceremony will take place Monday, September 7, 2021, and scorination and results posting will begin the following day. The Games will conclude Friday, September 17, 2021.

We wish great luck to all nations that are competing.

Some notes on the organization of this event. When scores are posted, participating nations are encouraged to post RPs about the games. Examples of this are conversations between the coaches and players, sports articles written about the game, etc.

Another note is that this forum shouldn't be used for OOC discussions between players, or any conversations that do not pertain to the Games.

Lemon City

Music starts playing in every corner of the city. The tune is loud and exciting. On different streets orchestras, all playing the same sound, and cheerleaders, dressed in white with blue embellished fleur de lis and golden suns on their costumes start dancing synchronised.

As they start marching, floating stars inside krystalglobes descend from the sky, as the wind blows multicoloured petals throughout the city.

As the fanfare and cheerleaders approach each other, clowns and other athletes start their numbers, "flying" and jumping above the streets.

The music has changed for this second act, as the costumes are now more colourful and fun.

Statues start moving from their places, gifting flowers to people passing by. As the statues move, paintings representing each nation start to parade the streets. Behind the paintings, athletes from all the nations are dressed in their homeland traditional clothes, and sit in beautifully decorated chariots (imagine Hunger Games style), and accompanied by their nation's traditional songs.

They all move towards the middle of the city, where now sit multiple beautifully decorated doors and gates, each seemingly to lead towards another realm. Dragons and pterodactyls can be seen flying together with birds, while the sun and clouds work together to create rainbows that flow outer the portals.

The procession all goes through these gates, that are revealed to lead to a huge stadium. As they arrive, holograms with other circus numbers, digital orchestras and cheerleaders finish their numbers. The light above the stadium dies down as 3 bells are heard.

The artistic numbers stop as the full moon rises above the stadium. The floating stars have made it to here, as well as flying lamps.

On a flying chariot Emperor Theodore I, dressed in gold, mimics Apollo. He rises his hand with the olympic torch - now a krystalball - and throws it in the air. As the ball flies it lights up very tiny shiny ropes, that are stretched above the arena. Music starts playing again.

While they lit up, below, on the ground, the arena is flooded with water. As the water takes shape, it starts to freeze, creating beautiful ice flowers on the surface. A single wave rises above the rest, and takes the shape of a lilly.

Meanwhile, the fire has lit up all the ropes, creating a 3d model of an athletes with angel wings, that starts moving. The angel lifts one finger and places it on the frozen lilly. The lilly eats the flame and blooms a golden cauldron that holds the olympic flame. The music stops as the fire angel dies down.

Fireworks lit up the sky as the arena clears itself of everything, except the cauldron that stands now on a white marble greek column.
