If 'yes', what is the process for how a national identity number is assigned? For those who hold Aikolandais citizenship by birth, the national identity number is assigned shortly after the birth is registered with Her Majesty's Government. For those who were not Aikolandais citizens at birth, the national identity number is assigned upon the acquisition of permanent residency status.
The national identity number consists of fourteen digits and one letter, separated by a hyphen. The first eight digits are one's date of birth (in year, month, day format), the ninth digit is a number from one to five and represents one's place of birth (1 for Île-d'Aiko [includes the Aikolandais Capital Territory], 2 for Île-de-Boullién, 3 for Île-de-Saun, 4 for Aikolandais citizen by birth born outside of the three states, 5 for non-citizen by birth born outside Aikoland), the tenth digit represents one's sex at birth (1 for male, 2 for female, 3 for intersex/indeterminate [rare]), and the eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth, and fourteenth digits are the time one was born in (in the 24 hour format). The letter is determined by taking the fourteen digits as a single number and dividing it by the sum of all the digits. This process is then repeated with the new number (rounding it up or down to a whole integer, if necessary) and its digits until an integer between one and twenty is reached (again, rounding it up or down, if necessary), which will correspond to one of the following letters: ABCDEFHJKLMNPRTUVWXY.
For example, a male born on 19 February 1989 in Île-de-Saun at 16:37 would have a national identification number of 19890219311637-N and a female born on 6 September 1963 in the United States at 07:19 would have a national identification number of 19630906520719-D.
