Measuring the ability of countries' ability to productively use available resources.

About
The Economic Competitiveness Report (ECR) is a yearly report published by the Bureau of Statistics of the Empire of the Ivory Coasts. It has just been recently established in 2019. The Economic Competitiveness Report integrates both the macroeconomic, microeconomic, and business aspects of competitiveness into the Economic Competitiveness Index, which the Economic Competitiveness Report gathers its data from. The ECR is additionally made up of 44 variables, which are in turn organized into five indexes which represent an area considered as an important determinant of competitiveness.

Economic competitiveness is defined by the ECR as the "set of institutions, policies, and factors that determine the level of productivity of a country" (World Economic Forum). This productivity, in turn, leads to growth of income levels and ultimately, the well-being of an economy's workers. A competitive economy promotes sustainable and inclusive growth, meaning more likelihood that everyone in society will benefit form the fruits of economic growth.

The Economic Competitiveness Index is made up of 44 variables, which are in turn organized into five indexes which represent an area considered as an important determinant of competitiveness. These variables will be added up together in accordance with their own index. Finally, all indexes will be added up together in order to achieve final scores. These scores will be arranged in order after being calculated.

Credit goes to Yohannes (CTE) for providing help and links in this post. You know what I posted an earlier version of this thread and didn't credit you, which was very selfish of me so I'm really sorry!! Also to the World Economic Forum and their Global Economic Competitiveness Report. They're also where I got most of the summary from. Further information can be seen here.
