Well your point about Imki declaring herself dictator is not accurate, as yes Lazarus is at least to some degree, democratic (though yes, it has autocratic leanings sometimes)

Now perhaps, but it was not like that in the beginning. Imki kept executive power strictly to herself for a considerable amount of time. The result of those actions doesn't make it okay. There's a right way to do things and a wrong way. The ends do not justify the means.

This is what's called a measured and orderly transition back to stable democracy, instead of foisting full-fledged democracy on a region and community ill prepared for it so that the exact same pattern that had been transpiring in Lazarus, which resulted in its couptastic few years prior to Imki, could happen all over again.

The writing was on the wall during the constitutional convention, with the outlandish actions taken by Llamas, the infighting, the vote stacking and pressuring for votes, and the total inability to come to any kind of reasonable resolution and conclusion, that anything the convention might have produced -- emphasis on might, as it couldn't agree to anything -- was only going to lead to another crisis in Lazarus, probably sooner rather than later, but inevitably at some point. Imki stopped that cycle, which is commendable. That players like you who only ever contributed to Lazarus' instability still oppose her actions is actually a credit to her.

In short, Lazarus is better off as a result of what Imki achieved there, and better off without people like you constantly undermining its stability for your ends.

I served in the government of a free Lazarus for years before Imki decided to come in and force her totalitarian rule on it. Unlike Imki, I fought for Lazarus. Imki ruled it with an iron fist until it no longer served her to do so. Her actions are condemnable instead of commendable.

Much of the native population supported her decision. An even greater part of it didn't care one way or the other about off-site government.

To go back to the debate over inclusion of Imki's role in the South Pacific, if anyone would like to see why Sandaoguo (Glen-Rhodes) used to be regarded as such a problem, you need look no further than this post in which he throws a public tantrum to demand the Cabinet and Delegate accede to the demands of what appears to be a tiny minority of TSPers (maybe only him). His own voice is the only voice that ever matters to him, really, as an autocrat at heart who only performs democracy.

I, for one, am glad this proposal didn't completely strip Imki's role in TSP to accommodate him, and that TSP is voting for it despite his demands. Good for you, TSP.
