King Karl 3rd was seen during the military parade yesterday giving a speech about the challenges the Novrodian state faces and the importance of a strong military in maintaining world peace and order. This comes following the terror attack in the southern town of Yutlas last week what killed 3 people and left 12 injured, this show of force while already planned before the attack took place is being used to demonstrate the government's preparedness when it comes to facing these kind's of threats. While there is already a strong military presence in the southern region's, it is widely believed that those forces will be reinforced later on this week.

On Monday a new budget was announced with the chancellor vowing that it will create more jobs and protect the manufacturing sector, it also gave more funding to schools and hospitals across the country and promised to create more green jobs. Despite the promise of more green job's there are still large subsides to gas companies across the nation, with no effort or plan on finding a replacement for one of Novrod's largest export's. The chancellor also eluded to the government's increasing interest in international out reach.

A resent survey says that 42% of Wots Moniens wont the king back into power saying "The crown united this island a brought stability to this region and they deserve to rule over it." John Peceus 3rd leader of the RUP (Royal Union Party).To some people the idea go going back to a king is backwords and would undo all the progress the NWP (union of Wotsnoian People)has done. Joe Shalendeen (leader of the NWP) said "This is unnecessary and would ruin this country, what would you do if the king was driving the country into the ground, what would you do if the king declared war on a county without reason, what would you do if the king started executing people at mass!" [Santicus]

Emperor Chaleto and the Government Council pass a vote to move the capital of the Empire of Santicus from the former capital city Lazeto which was on the mainland, to the City of Dalbar on the island of Poocha. The government Council and Emperor Chaleto move to the new capital that’s population is 1.4 million people. The Emperor orders for a statue of him in the bustling Town square declaring that this dawns as a new era for Santicus.

Since I am now part of this RP but have also been running a maintenance thread / solo RP at the same time, I decided I'd just make this first post to clarify a few things and as a backlog of news which also happens here.

The maintenance thread / solo RP contains everything which is in my dispatches. Not all of those events apply to this RP as well but some of them do. Anything which is relevant to this RP will be posted on this thread as well as in my dispatches. As of the creation of this post, all the news in my dispatches happens in this RP as well except the Firepurge Nuclear Programme. In this RP, Firepurge does have a nuclear programme but it has not been successful yet and they do not have nuclear weapons.

All news from Firepurge other than factbooks is biased and should be taken with a grain of salt. You can choose what you believe happened and what you don't believe happened. Currently there are two types of 'news' from Firepurge, although if I ever make any others they will be explained later:

> The Daily Spark: This is the only official newspaper from Firepurge. It is completely controlled by the government (even the journalists are government officials, although they do not admit it) and is full of propaganda. It is very biased in favour of the government.
> Blue Tide Newsletters: These are newsletters from the Blue Tide, a small but growing rebel group which wants to eventually overthrow the government and turn Firepurge into a free democratic nation. These newsletters were written by Blue Tide members for other Blue Tide members and are not available to the public inside or outside of Firepurge, but the governments of some countries that have spies in Firepurge have intercepted Blue Tide communications and sent copies to your government. While a more trustworthy source of information than The Daily Spark, they are still slightly biased against the government. (For example, the government think that almost everyone in Firepurge believes their propaganda, while the Blue Tiders think almost nobody does and people just stay quiet due to fear. In reality, it is somewhere in the middle and about 50% truly believe the propaganda.)

The Daily Spark: Government subsidy for the arts cut after artistic peoples refuse to create more patriotic works

Today, representatives of poets, painters and other artistic peoples handed parliament a petition asking for more government funding. However, when our Great Leader asked them what they had done to deserve the money, they had no reply.

But our Great Leader was smart, as always. Rather than getting angry, he proposed a fair deal which would satisfy both parties' needs. All artistic groups would receive extra government funding if they created more patriotic works. The deal makes perfect sense. If you want money which taxpayers work hard to earn for the benefit of the nation, you must do something which will benefit the nation.

The Firepurgian National Orchestra accepted the proposal and will now play patriotic music for our mighty army during their many parades. These are important events when we display our national unity and our commitment to the way of Light, purging all Evils from the world one step at a time. May the Orchestra be prosperous forever following their enlightened and patriotic choice.

However, other artistic groups did not accept the proposal. When offered the Light, they threw it aside and stomped the flames out. Our Great Leader came to the reasonable conclusion that they do not deserve any additional funding, and in fact they are unworthy of their current funding. These groups may be corrupted with Evils, and investigations are underway to preserve the cleansed state of this nation.

I am sure you readers would all agree that those who do not support the nation with their works do not deserve our hard-earned money. They will have to find a source of income themselves. Some may die out as a result, but that is just the way of life: May the brightest fires live on.

If you are a member of one of these groups that sadly rejected our Leader's great proposal and you are a true Firepurgian citizen and believer in the One True Light, do not despair. If your group does end up dissolving due to the unfortunate circumstances they have imposed upon themselves, there will always be a place for you in the Firepurgian National Orchestra or even our glorious army's marching band.

A Blue Tide recruitment letter:

Hello, fellow Greenleaves.

Whether you have been passed this letter in the street, found it under your doormat or whatever, please pay careful attention to what we have to say. We have been trying to get in contact with you for a while, but it is hard. We wish we could just send emails, but they can see our computer screens 24/7 so it's easier said than done. We're using typewriters to make these letters, and we're running out of ink.

If you have recieved this letter, you are not one of them. You're not one of the sheep. Whatever nonsense the government has making up for the past eleven years about the rest of the world being 'evil' and them being the good guys cleansing the world, you don't believe a single word they say.

I'm sure the first thing on your mind will be who the hell we are. We will get to that, but first there are a few important things you should remember:
> Incinerate this letter IMMEDIATELY after you finish reading it. Do NOT leave this letter in your house, put it in the trash or do ANYTHING ELSE with it. That will just get the government's attention, and it will get both you and us in trouble, which is the last thing we want.
> If you see a hooded person on the street and they show you a tattoo with a wave on it, that is one of our agents. DO NOT trust anyone claiming to be one of our agents unless they show you the tattoo. It could be a government agent in disguise. The government may try to replicate the tattoo, so we have included an image of the real tattoo with this letter for reference. Memorize it, and burn the image along with the letter.
> If one of our agents wishes to speak with you, DO NOT talk to them until they lead you to a safe house. There are cameras and recorders everywhere on the street. You may also be asked to leave your phone behind before getting within a few blocks of a safe house. There is a tracker on your phone.
> DO NOT tell ANYONE you received this letter, not even your closest friends. Trust nobody, unless they have the tattoo. Anybody could be a government spy, or could be tortured into ratting you out.
> We are still pretty disorganized and have no current set date for a revolution, but we will update you with any progress should you choose to join our cause.

So who are we?
We are the Blue Tide Movement, a small but growing resistance group with plans to eventually overthrow our corrupt, totalitarian government and restore democracy.

It is no secret that our government is lying to us. The rest of the world is not evil, they are much better off than we are, with more rights. The government calls anything that it wants to 'evil' and it's just an excuse for them to hold on to power. Our quest to get rid of the oppressive colonial government, and create a free, independant state for the Greenleaf people as resulted in the creation of the very thing we sought to destroy. We are oppressed, even more so than we were under the colonial government. There is major inequality. The poor are starving. Anyone who breathes the wrong way gets lynched. Old people are not taken to an expansive, government-funded care home like they claim. They are KILLED. Rich business owners and government officials line their pockets with Radites and do what is best for themselves, not what is best for the people. To be born in Firepurge is perhaps among the unluckiest things that can happen to you.

We wish to change that. The fire of Firepurge may burn bright, but what matters is the fact that we, the people of Firepurge, are the fuel for that fire. Men, women, children, nothing but resources for the government to exploit, to throw on the fire in order to keep it burning. We are the great wave which will come crashing down on the wicked flames and extinguish them for good. We will set up a new Bluewave Republic. We Greenleaves will find a new identity, not as Firepurgians, but as Bluewavians, and we will be free. We will ensure nobody is oppressed, everyone has equal rights, and everyone can vote in free and fair elections. Democracy is not, as the government claims, a secret plot by foreign powers to weaken our government. Elections under colonial rule were rigged and unfair. Ours will not be like that. Besides, if democracy is such a bad idea, how come almost all those 'evil foreign powers' who are apparently trying to impose this 'inferior' system on us are using it themselves?

The only problem is, we need people. Our movement is still small. Government surveillance is tight and it is hard to get our message across. We truly believe most of the population of Firepurge would support us and don't believe the government. We aren't that dumb. But they are too afraid to speak out. Fear, that's the government's main weapon.

We understand if you too, are afraid. If you do not wish to join our movement, out of concern for your safety, your family's safety and your friends' safety, that is fine. Maybe you just want to get on with your life without the drama. Simply take no action and we will stop contacting you.

But if you wish to join us, we will gladly welcome you among our ranks. If you wish to stay in contact, come to 24 Asher Street on Sunday, 6 PM sharp. We are aware many of you work 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, but this was the only available time. Tell nobody that you are going and travel through the alleys and slums if possible. They tend to have less cameras. Wear a hoodie, and a mask if you have one. Don't look at the cameras. You will recieve a quick briefing, and if you are feeling brave, your first mission. At this stage in the rebellion it will most likely be related to recruiting. Please note that all missions are completely voluntary and most of our members do not participate due to fear. The bare minimum requirements are to attend at least one meeting and swear an oath to fight on our side once the rebellion begins.

May fortune be on your side. Blue Tider or not, you need it to survive long in this hell hole of a country.

The Daily Spark: Evil spreaders of care home misinformation identified (The government discovers the Blue Tiders' existence. Today, our Great Leader and his government were able to identify the source of care home misinformation. If you read this paper regularly, which we assume most of you do as the proud and patriotic citizens you are, you will be aware of misinformation that has been spreading related to our government-funded care homes for the old. At the time, we assumed they were being spread by evil foreign powers, but now the government has provided us with more information.

It appears that there is indeed a group operating within our borders, spreading evil such as these blatant lies about the care homes. The government is still unaware of the size or objectives of the so-called "Blue Tide" group, and they are still at large. They are most likely corrupted individuals who were influenced by the evil foreign powers and are now trying to spread that corruption throughout our glorious Empire.

But do not be afraid, citizens. Our government will hunt them down like the little rats they are before they can spread their terrible plague of lies, and they will burn at the stake to purge this land of Evils oncemore.

The government is clever, and they have their ways to find evildoers and protect true citizens of Firepurge. But they will be able to do it faster with your help. If you are a proud and patriotic citizen, we urge you to report any suspicious activity. The "Blue tide" must be stopped. If you see any hooded figures sneaking around in the darkness, trying to hide from our Light and Purging Flames, or overhear evil words being whispered from corrupted lips, inform a government official immediately.

The government is setting bounties for more information on this nasty group of individuals, and those who have information to contribute will get a hefty sum of Radites as a reward. Dear citizens, this is a chance to prove your loyalty to and pride for this Great Country! If you know anything useful to the investigation, do not turn this great opportunity down!

However, we urge citizens not to approach any shady individuals. Although it is understandable if you have a strong hatred towards these vile enemies of the state, we do not know how dangerous these people are and they could have nasty tricks up their sleeves. Concealed weapons, or a secret way to spread their corruption through touch or through words. The government knows the best way to deal with these people, so please leave it to them and don't try to be the hero. We promise, the satisfaction you will get from seeing them burned to a crisp at a public execution will be far greater than whatever satisfaction you would get from breaking their noses.

With or without help, rest well knowing that the government has your back and these evil, corrupted individuals will be stopped. Once caught, they will pay for their treachery with their lives.

Blue Tide Newsletter: Copies of a REAL newspaper now available, and more! (Also contains the Blue Tiders' reaction to being discovered by the government)

Hello, fellow Blue Tider.

If you have received this newsletter, you have been to at least one Blue Tide meeting, swore the oath and have signed up for news about the progress of our movement. You may or may not also be involved in one of our current missions. Either way, you can now consider yourself an official Blue Tider. Welcome to the Rebellion, comrade!

As this is your second letter, we would just like to remind you to keep incinerating these letters after you receive them and obey Blue Tider protocol. The basics of the protocol was discussed at the beginning of the first letter you received and was explained in more detail during your first meeting. Remember, the protocol is designed for the sole purpose of preventing us from being caught, and is for the safety of both you and our movement as a whole. I am sure you are tired of rules, especially with this government, but it is very important for the safety of everyone involved in our operations that you follow the protocol.

Speaking of safety, we have read the latest edition of The Daily Spark and are aware that the government now knows of our existence. Do not panic. Judging by the language used in the rambling, propaganda-filled paper, it seems like they know we exist and are looking for us but are unaware of the extent of our plans. They probably think we're just a small group of smugglers who imported 'illegal' news that happened to contain the truth about the government's poorly disguised death camps for the elderly.

The Daily Spark used some pretty strong language, but it's all just a scare tactic. Fear, that's the government's main weapon. We have no doubt that they will do nasty things to us if they catch us, but it doesn't look like they know where any of our bases are or much about our operations except that we told some people the truth about the government's 'care homes.' Heh, as if people didn't know already.

And if they did know we were planning a full-blown revolution and are actively recruiting more members, they wouldn't dare to even mention our name in The Daily Spark and would just try to take us out quietly. They wouldn't just put our name in the paper and do our advertising for us. Announcing to the entire public that there are revolutionaries and just hoping they side with them rather than us wouldn't be a very smart move from the government's perspective.

We have had quite a large recruitment drive recently and we were anticipating the prospect of being discovered. So don't panic, but be extra careful when receiving newsletters or going to meetings. Cover your face and stay away from government officials, but act natural. If you're sneaking around and literally darting from one alley to the next, you will look suspicious. If you do not wish to come to our next meeting (the location and details of which were discussed in the previous meeting), due to concerns for your personal safety, that is totally fine. As an official Blue Tide member, you will continue to receive our newsletters regardless of your participation in our meetings, unless you specifically tell us to stop sending you newsletters. (Unfortunately, if you wish to do this, you do have to attend the next meeting as we have no other way for you to contact us.)

We are also aware some of you may be concerned about double agents in our movement ratting us out to the government. We would like to reassure you that this is very unlikely. We only send recruitment letters to individuals who we know are not buying the government's nonsense, usually people recommended for recruitment by their friends or family. And if there was a double agent, the government would definitely know we are planning a revolution. As we have already said, we think that is extremely unlikely. The government has surveillance everywhere and it is no surprise they realised something was going on.

Anyway, now that all that stuff has been dealt with, we do have some more positive things to talk about.

For a start, we've (ironically) managed to smuggle some newspapers from other countries into Firepurge. We will be handing out copies of these newspapers at our next meeting, if you are able to attend. They contain information about life in other countries, current affairs and even some real news about Firepurge, which I'm sure many of you will be eager to hear. Finally, a reliable news source you can use for something other than toilet paper!

We also managed to smuggle in an actual Windows PC which isn't monitored by the government 24/7. You can all check it out at the next meeting. It still can't connect to the internet, and we'll need a router and VPN before we can safely do that. But still, it's progress. And we were actually able to write this newsletter on a computer and print it out, which is pretty neat. Even though we're doing it on some trashy four-year-old hacked version of 'Microsoft Word' which crashes when you try to open it half the time. At least it's better than the typewriter.

We should check out what kind of video games they have in other countries, we've heard they are much better than the trash we have in Firepurge. It looks like the PC comes with Minecraft and Candy Crush preinstalled. It also has multiple solitaire variations, chess, and minesweeper. If you still believe the Firepurgian government invented those games, here's proof they didn't. Although these 'Microsoft' people, whoever they are, have somehow managed to make an even uglier interface for FreeCell than the official government version. Gee, that's an achievement for sure.

Next up, we have plans to expand our operation to other cities so we can set up bases and recruit people from all over the country. Currently we have only been recruiting people here in the capital, but obviously if we want to start a revolution eventually we'll need a lot more people than that. If you are interested in helping out, come to our next meeting. We need good, well-hidden locations for new hideouts and more people to hand out recruitment letters. Please remember that because we have to keep a low profile, especially now that the government is searching for us, it will be at least five months before we have enough members (and a suitable location) to expand our operations to another city. We will probably not be ready to start the rebellion for several years, but we just have to be patient and play the long game.

And to finish off, we'd just like to mention that black market activity in Firepurge has been booming recently. Looks like someone managed to bribe the guards at one of the border checkpoints, and the flow of 'contraband' items into Firepurge has significantly increased. We have very little contact with the people running these operations and don't know how much they can be trusted, so take care. You could face terrible consequences if the government catch you with any contraband. But if there is something banned in Firepurge which you really want, like those 'nike' shoes or whatever they are called which are apparently really popular overseas, just do some searching and you'll probably be able to find them if you look in the right places.

The government of our Great Country is proud to announce the start of a new transport project which will benefit us all. It has always been a top priority for them to make it as easy as possible to get from one side of the Empire to the other. It allows our Glorious Army to quickly respond to security threats and deal with evil foreign powers who are foolish enough to think they can defeat us. A fast, efficient transport system is essential to ensuring we will never be conquered again, and our purging flames burn bright forever.

It also makes domestic tourism much more accessible. Our Great Leader believes that every true, patriotic citizen of Firepurge should have the right to travel across the Empire and see all the amazing things our country has to offer. All Firepurgians should have the right to see all 51 statues of our Great Leader and visit every war memorial in the One True Land to honour the brave men who sacrificed their lives for our Great Country. They should be able to admire the view of our vast expanses of desert from the Great Pyramid of Purging, the very place where our Great Leader founded the Empire and vowed to purge all Evils from the face of this planet. They should be free to gaze upon the wonders of the Emperor's Palace, the place where our clever Leader makes important decisions which benefit us all. It is truly amazing how just one man and his advisors can figure out what is best for our nation with such great efficiency, juggling the daily problems of an entire country but never even showing the slightest signs of stress or fatigue.

Seeing the many wonders of Firepurge with your own eyes is an honorable and patriotic thing to do, and proves you are a true, loyal citizen of our nation. It is no wonder our Great Leader wants to give us all this opportunity.

While our current transport system serves its purpose well, it is beginning to get dated. Our population has been increasing, but we haven't had any major transportation improvements since the Great War when we liberated this country from evil foreign powers and started the return of all that is Good and Pure to this world. The fire has grown bigger and brighter, but it now requires more firewood. In the cities, queues at bus stops and train stations get longer and longer. In the deserts of the south, many roads are still just single lane roads with loose gravel. This makes it hard to get vital supplies to isolated and impoverished communities in the south, and for the people there to get to their jobs in the cities so they can work hard for the benefit of our nation.

But do not worry, citizens of Firepurge. Our government hears you. Our Leader is reduced to tears whenever he hears about disappointed workers who want to contribute to the success of our Great Nation but are unable to get to work. But that just makes him more determined to do something about it.

In a detailed and well thought out three year plan, the government is improving the transportation system of the One True Land. Roads in the cities will be widened, easing congestion on our cities' streets. More buses will be added to the state's bus fleet, reducing the amount of time you will have to wait at bus stops. Many of them will be double deckers to accommodate the increasing population. The state's train network will also be expanded, with more train lines and some going to more remote areas. We are working on an experimental new technology which allows trains to travel 25% faster. More details will be released when they are available. Once research is complete, in a move of generosity and kindness, the government will sell blueprints to private train companies too. All unsealed roads in the Empire will be sealed by year 14. The government will also be giving monetary incentives to private bus, train and airplane companies so they can improve their services, allowing ambitious citizens to help shape the future of transportation in Firepurge.

Got construction skills and looking for a job? This is your chance to shine, and work on a project which will have a lasting impact on our nation. The government will be hiring a lot of builders for this important project, and we are sure many companies in the transportation industry will be as well once they hear about this massive project. There is room for people with all sorts of skills, but we expect the most in-demand jobs will be road workers and railway workers. The government will ensure everyone who contributes to this project will be remembered for their hard work. A few lucky workers will have their last names randomly selected as new street names and will be remembered forever as model citizens. A prestigious achievement indeed, and one to be very proud of.

Blue Tide Newsletter: Is the Firepurge Transport Project good news or bad news?

Hello, fellow Blue Tider.

As this is your third letter, we will be assuming you are fully aware of Blue Tide protocol now and we do not have to explain it again. Which is good, because we're running out of ink.

We somehow managed to read the most recent issue of The Daily Spark without falling asleep. A better transport system is good news for us though, since we mostly communicate through letters (due to them being the most private form of communication at the moment.) If the postmen don't have to spend 45 minutes getting from one side of the city to another, that'll definitely make us more efficient. It could also make it easier to expand our operation to other cities, and perhaps it means we won't need a permanent hideout in every city if people can get from their cities to the capital in a reasonably short amount of time. They will probably be recording who travels where though, and a large group of people all travelling to and from the capital several times a week would probably make the authorities suspicious.

They'll probably use the excuse of improving the transport system to build more security checkpoints between major cities, so this could actually make travel harder for us. It would be a nightmare for black market traders too, making it a lot harder and more dangerous for them to get supplies into the country. If we really want to start a revolution, we're going to have to order a lot of guns at some point, and it might get a lot harder to obtain them. Although there is no point in doing it yet anyway, since we are still a pretty small group.

Of course, there's a high chance that the government has underestimated the time they will need to complete these projects and they are all false promises. That isn't a problem for them though. If there are still some unsealed roads in 2024, they'll probably just blame 'evil foreign powers' for sabotaging the project. All they have to do is make some building supplies disappear and find a few scapegoats who the emperor doesn't like to blame and execute.

It's also funny how one of their incentives to hire more builders is to 'randomly' select some of them for street names. As if anyone is going to believe that. Our government's idea of 'random' is to put everyone's name in a hat and burn the hat with all the names in it. Then they'll name the streets after people who are friends of government officials and didn't work on the project at all.

Seems like the government is trying to encourage more domestic tourism too. A sign that finally, after eleven long years, they are feeling the strain on the economy due to the complete lack of international tourists. They are literally begging for us to spend our money visiting tourist attractions and keep the businesses that run these tours alive. Serves them right for continuing to spout the government's propaganda rather than teaching people about real history.

Speaking of history, we'd like to talk about the so-called 'Great Pyramid of Purging.' Since our government largely ignores events that happened before they came to power and only teaches Firepurgian history starting from 2010, it has occurred to us that hardly anyone knows who actually built the pyramid anymore. The only thing they say about it is that the Emperor founded Firepurge while standing at the top of it, but they don't say anything about its origins or what it was used for before that.

It was actually built by our Greenleaf ancestors thousands of years ago and was a shrine to their Jungle God before the government assimilated it and turned it into a founding symbol of this regime. It's pretty ironic actually, considering how the government is so anti-religion but one of Firepurge's biggest tourist attractions and one of the main symbols of the regime used to be a place of worship. Apparently the Greenleaves thought that if they prayed to the Jungle God hard enough, trees would grow in the desert and it would turn into a massive rainforest full of resources.

The shrine's original name has been lost due to the government burning all the history books when they came to power, but it certainly wasn't the 'Great Pyramid of Purging.' It's actually pretty interesting, and there's a lot more to it than that. If anyone is interested, we can have a mini history lesson about it at our next meeting. This is an important part of Greenleaf culture which the government is trying to stamp out, and it's a real shame.

We will also be holding a funeral for one of our comrades at the next meeting. Her name will be kept secret to protect her family, and she will be referred to simply as 'Agent L.' Agent L and her brother, also a Blue Tider, were on their way home after handing out recruitment letters when she was arrested by the police for 'suspicious behavior.' Her brother managed to escape and informed us of her arrest.

She had already handed out all the recruitment letters at that point so it is unlikely the authorities discovered anything new about us. But there is no doubt that she was tortured for information. She refused to tell them anything to protect her comrades and the Blue Tide cause. She was executed, and sadly her body was burned to ashes so we do not have her remains.

But we will hold the funeral regardless, and honour our fallen comrade who stood defiant in the face of the authorities and sacrificed her life to protect us. There is no doubt that doing missions for the Blue Tide is very risky, and many more comrades will die in the years to come. But we will make sure that every single one of them is remembered for their sacrifice. And unlike the government's empty promise to name streets after road workers, we actually mean it. Because every single person they kill has friends and family who will miss them. And when we eventually succeed and the corrupt dictatorship is overthrown, we will make sure the government pays for their crimes. Everyone who is killed fighting for true freedom and democracy will be avenged. That's our promise.

As for the Windows PC, a router and a USB with VPN software are on their way now. The black market is an amazing place for this kind of stuff. Assuming neither of them get confiscated on the way here, they should arrive within a couple of weeks and we'll finally be able to connect to the real internet. It's a shame that the preinstalled games are trash though. We established in our most recent meeting that Candy Crush is terrible and Minecraft is just a demo version which doesn't contain much and can only be played for a limited time before it automatically resets. Guess we'll just have to stick to games made in Firepurge for now. We won't be able to answer the question of whether games in other countries are better, at least not until we get an internet connection.

[Firepurge]

Journalists around the world are reporting that four people were shot dead by the Firepurge Navy near Firepurge's western border. It appears that they planned to escape Firepurge and were heading across the sea to Turalia (https://www.nationstates.net/nation=turalia) by boat. They had just crossed the sea border into Turalian territory at the time, but two small gunboats pursued them across the border, intruding in Turalian territory, just to kill these four people. The gunboats then returned back to their patrol.

It appears that three of the four people were Firepurgian citizens, would-be refugees trying to escape to Turalia for a better life. The fourth has been identified as a citizen of Turalia. The three Firepurgians paid him to take them across the border to Turalia. He has also previously been involved in smuggling operations, smuggling newspapers from Turalia and other countries into Firepurge, where they are illegal, and selling them for a high price on the black market.

The Firepurgian government claims that the three Firepurgian citizens were traitors to the state and the Turalian was 'a spreader of evil and corruption who is a known criminal and has been wanted for a long time.' They claim this justifies their gunboats' brief crossing into Turalian waters and their killing of a Turalian citizen, who was wanted for crimes he committed in Firepurge. The Turalian government has yet to comment.

The Daily Spark is expected to publish an article that mentions this incident soon.

As the only Pure nation in the world, with no allies and surrounded by Evil countries on all sides, it is understandable that the average Firepurge citizen might feel a little afraid. It would be extremely easy for corruption to get in, and sometimes it may feel like our cause is hopeless.

But fear not, loyal and patriotic citizens! Your county's Clever Leader, Great Government and Glorious Army have your back! You need not be afraid, for the Emperor always knows best and the government will ensure your safety. Any threats to the security of the One True Land are threats to you, but the army responds to them with ruthless efficiency.

One such threat was eliminated just today, along Firepurge's western sea border with the Kingdom of Turalia. While they share some similarities with us and are less Evil than some of our other neighbours, they are still nonetheless a force of Evil. They promote the inferior form of government known as democracy, among other things. Today's events are a reminder that we must always be cautious in our interactions with people from other countries and is more proof that citizens should stay as far away from foreigners as possible, unless contact is unavoidable due to your profession or otherwise.

The threat in question was a Turalian man known for being a spreader of Evil ideas and corrupting Firepurgian citizens. He has been wanted for crimes he committed in Firepurge for a long time, but the sneaky rat always ran back to Turalia every time our government tried to catch him, like it was his little mouse hole. A shaded place, perhaps, where he thought he could escape the light of our Purging Flames. Well, no more. Turalia cannot save him now that he is dead. Nobody can escape the flames of justice.

The man was spotted crossing from Firepurge's territory into Turalia's territory by the crew of three Firepurge Navy ships which were on patrol. Three Firepurgian citizens were spotted with him on a small boat. They were, no doubt, corrupted by him and convinced that somehow they would be better off in a country of Evil. If they arrived in Turalia, they would no doubt have suffered there after realising they were actually worse off due to the country's inefficient government and many other problems. That was part of the Turalian man's plan, to cause chaos and disruption in the One True Land and cause pain for misguided citizens.

Two navy gunboats were launched from the patrol ships and pursued the boat. The Turalian man was mowed down with machine gun fire. One loose end eliminated, and a reason for all of you to feel a little bit safer. The three Firepurgian citizens were also killed. They were traitors to the state, and broke the laws of Firepurge by trying to leave the country. Laws exist for a reason, and the government knows what is best for the citizens of Firepurge. Only too late did these three citizens realise this, after they were well and truly in Evil's grasp. Their story is a sad one, but now that the spreader of Evil is dead, we can ensure that nobody else ends up like them.

We hope that after reading this article, you feel a little bit safer. Firepurge is strong, and our raging flames will never die out. On the contrary, they will continue to grow bigger and stronger as our army slowly captures more territory and makes steady progress on our country's Great Mission to purge all Evil from this world.

If you want to contribute to our government's effort to keep Evil out of the One True Land and help your fellow citizens who may not feel the same safety that you feel now, you should consider joining the glorious Firepurge Navy. To serve your country in the Navy is one of the most glorious and patriotic things you can do as a citizen of Firepurge, along with the Army and Air Force. Every new recruit makes the Emperor proud. Enlisting is a simple and easy process. Most of you will already have some experience from your compulsory service in the Army, and a lot of that knowledge is easily transferable to the Navy. If you fancy yourself a sailor and want to serve your country like the proud and patriotic citizen you are, joining the Navy could be the perfect job for you.
