[Q] Shorter "Latest Forum Topics"

[Q] Shorter "Latest Forum Topics"

For as long as I can remember, the "Latest Forum Topics" feature has always listed 5 topics. In the last few days, it's often only shown 2 or 3. Is this an intentional change? If so, why? 5 topics was hardly invasive to the site experience, and when it's as limited as 2 topics there's hardly any reason for it to be there at all.

It seems to vary somewhat; I've seen instances of 2, 3 and 4 topics in the last few minutes.

Can confirm. I have seen instances where only 2 Latest Forum Topics were listed.

I have a theory; there isn't much forum activity going on. Usually, with a healthy amount of forum activity, the number of latest forum topics is at normal rates. But when there are less than 50 online users, it usually shortens. Maybe there is an internet outage in the part of the world where a lot of NSers live?
I will no longer be using NS Stats (as I developed my own stats outside of NS) and I will no longer be answering NS Issues, all current NS Policies are canon

(Will need to renew the newsbar)

Probably as I would've Said. I am living in the Philippines and I do not Experience Internet Outages, or I only Experienced a Few of them Month after Month.

I Think because it has Something to do with the Minimal User Activity even the Incidents of DDOS Attacks in NS Forums has been Ended a Month and a Week ago. I think few NationStates Users switched to their Regional Forums and Discord Servers Instead, and also, I do not think they are now Already going back to School or Work in some Parts of the World. I think that's my theory.

I mean the forums has been very active for a VERY long time, regardless of the season or month.

For example, I still am going to school, but I don't hesitate to spend a long but afk time here.

On gameside as I type this (on Rift), I see four "latest forum topics," while forumside, I only see three, though I have seen it fluctuate between three and five. I think part of the reason why that is is because on forumside at least, the area where the advertisements go and the latest forum topics kind of overlap, especially as it can lead to things like this (admittedly I have Adblock so that might be part of the reason?).

That's why it should be Addressed by Fixing the Overlaping between the Latest Forum Topics and the Advertising Border.
