Hi, I'm new to NationStates and I want to know more about policies. It says I only have one; capitalism. How do I get more?

You will encounter issues that set your national policies. This list shows each policy and which issues will unlock/apply them!

If you have a national policy that you don't like, you will get an issue which gives you a chance to repeal it sooner or later.

When making a new nation you can select policies.
For example you can agree to Conscription, that will give you conscription as a policy.

Or you could agree that Capitalism is bad and get Socialism as a policy.

That’s not how it works. You have to unlock an issue, and chose the option. The options that lead to certain policies are well pretty clear but sometimes hidden.
