Should Democracy be Compulsory?

Postby Blitzyburg » Sat May 08, 2021 7:22 am

Dear, NationStates community

I´m just here to warn new players of an upcoming thing they will have to face. I´m not sure whether this page is for issues as in bugs, or issues as in quests. Well anyways, I´m just gonna let you newbies know that if you choose the third option for this issue, your political freedom, NOT civil rights, will PLUMMET and collapse in on itself. now, that may be an exaggeration, but I fell from excellent to few, with a click of a button, by selecting the third option. I regret it, and I don´t want new players to suffer from that mistake. but then again, if you want to totally send your nation into complete disarray, just ignore this message entirely and do the exact opposite of what i was telling you to do.

sincerely yours,
your Friendly neighborhood Blitzian

I think it's because if you pick option 3 you ban elections? Which literally the worst thing you could do for political freedom

If you're talking about the decision where they said that there is no need to elect anyone, I chose that willingly and it was absolutely awesome. I know some people won't like this but I enjoyed having less political freedom as it will make the government more stable with less election wars.

Option 3:
"This raises an interesting issue," says @@RANDOMMALENAME@@, your brother. "And that is: why do we need elections, anyway? Seems to me it would be much simpler if you just decided what was right, and did it. Wouldn't that save everyone a lot of time?"

Why are you surprised that banning elections will cause political freedom to plummet?
