Neurks Boodal wrote:Thinking of great world powers, it has occurred to me to add a law against the abandonment of animals in the streets. It would be something very simple and we would avoid such ugly and sad situations. The following would be fulfilled:
1- Anyone who wants to abandon an animal for any reason would have two options:
A) Leave it with a family that is known to take care of them
B) Leave it in an animal adoption center
2-If for any reason neither A nor B of point 1 is met, leaving him in a street situation or animal abuse would imply a large fine plus a crime of animal abuse
3-The financial fine would vary depending on the seriousness of the matter. From the severity of issue 1 to 3:
I- Abandon it in a habitat not recommended for the living being
II- Leave it in a street situation
III- Animal abuse home
Thanks for reading, Neurks Boodal

Oppose. Branding, NatSov only repeal, very little explanation other than the declaration.

The World Assembly,

Wanting to help not only humans but also animals,

Shocked by the actions of abandoning animals,

Believing that laws preventing animal abandonment will severely help animal welfare.

Hereby:
A- Defines an abondoned animal as a domesticated pet which was discarded by its owner on purpose.
B- Gives people who want to abondon animals the choice of either leaving it with a family or animal adoption center.
i- Punishes people who fail to follow either choice, with a fine depending on the severity of the issue.
C- Sets up the Discarded Animal Rescue Force (DARF) with an intention to rescue any abandoned animal.
D- Quarantines any found abandoned animals for one week due to potential diseases it may carry, such as rabies.

This is my draft.

"Animals street situation" is a regular resolution, not a repeal. Why has Traden thus described it as a "NatSov only repeal?"

Didn't use words like Hereby, Shocked That, etc.

OOC: What on earth is an "animal abuse home"? Is it some establishment specifically for abusing animals?
If the ambassador acts like an ambassador, it's probably Delegate Arthur.
If he acts like an edgy teen, it's probably definitely Delegate Jim.... it's always Jim

It's either that or a home that takes in animals that were the subject of abuse. But the author's terribly-written draft doesn't make things clear.
Free Palestine, stop the genocide in Gaza
