To be fair, I wonder how many of Arsenal's (pre-Covid, obviously) match day fans would still be there if Arsenal were relegated... the way they react when Arsenal need uplifting is... unhelpful (mind you, without fans Arsenal's home form has been shit so maybe it helps in a kind of negative reinforcement sense... or is it punishment?).
If I were a Man United fan who encounters a "Man United fan" who doesn't know who the Holy Trinity and Sir Matt Busby are, I would gladly kick them out of the fanbase. My assumption would be that will root for City for the rest of the season (basically any team that's winning).
