While establishing an embassy is not required to pursue formal diplomatic or trade relations with Islajnorr, it certainly helps. Establishing an embassy is easy and can be completed by filling out the following form and submitting it below:

Ambassadors are subject to diplomatic immunity and may not be arrested, detained or prosecuted by local authorities. Other Embassy Staff or Security Staff are subject to local legal procedures as any other foreign national would be. Embassies are considered extraterritorial and are under the jurisdiction of your country's laws and legal system. Local authorities will not enter embassies except in emergency situations and will do so only with the assistance of embassy security staff.

All embassies are located in the Islajnorrian capitol, Verru. While there is not a dedicated consular district, embassies are located in close proximity to one another as well as relevant domestic government offices.

Islajnorr speaks Islajnorrian, which has roots in North Germanic and Uralic languages. English is the most commonly-spoken second language and simple/conversational English is understood by as much as 75% of the population. Translators of various other languages are also widely available for hire from the domestic market.

Vehicles are permitted for both import and domestic lease / sale to foreign customers. Electric vehicle charging infrastructure is available at all domestic petrol stations and can be installed at private residences for a nominal fee.

The Secretariat of the F.C.S. C.A., on behalf of the Commonwealth, wishes to tender the following application for the initialisation of consulic affairs, in the interest of establishing amicable and mutually beneficial bilateral relations with the Most Serene Republic of Islajnorr.

Armament of Security Staff: As is customary for our citizenry, we wish to apply for permission to retain a secure armory within our embassy which would contain a firearm for each citizen within our embassy - to be used in emergency defensive situations. Typically, these firearms would be semi-automatic or bolt-action rifles, such as our Owens AD-6 model, but should local laws prohibit such weapons others (such as pistols) can be substituted. In addition, our security staff will be issued pistols as well as non-lethal weaponry (batons and tasers but no gases or sprays of any kind, as we prohibit all chemical weapons).

Additional Requests: First and foremostly, the secretariat wishes to posit several questions regarding the Islajnorric nation and its consulic program.

Firstly, we wish to know where our consulic mission will be located, should it be approved. Will it be in the Islajnorric capital - and if so, does the capital have a dedicated consulic district?

Secondly, we wish to know which languages are commonly spoken within Islajnorr. Our delegated ambassador, being of Austro-Swiss descent, is fluent in five languages - Anglic (English), Italian, French, Romansh, and German - so hopefully at least one of these languages classify as a national language or lingua franca.

Thirdly, we wish to enquire as to whether or not we will need to provide our consulic mission with its own vehicles. We are perfectly capable and willing to do so - we can dispatch several of our A.M.I. Mindarie Sedans along with our consulic personnel - but all cars produced in our nation are either electric or hybrid, and as such it would be prudent for us to confirm that the necessary infrastructure is present for recharging our vehicles.

As well as questions, we have several additional consulic relations we wish to initiate. Typically, we apply on behalf of the Federal Consolidated Syndicate for Academics (F.C.S.A.) for the establishment of education and vocational (trade apprenticeship) exchange programs between Australia and our consulic relations. Additionally, we are happy to agree to pacts of non-aggression and freedom of movement. We also respectfully request that, should our application be approved, a reciprocal application be made to our own Consulic Relations Program, through which Islajnorr would be welcome to make its own requests and pursue further relations to its interest.
