What conviction of their existence leads you to this worship of them?', I reply first that they are in fact visible to our eyes. Secondly, and not withstanding, that I have not seen my soul either, and yet I honor it. So it is with the gods too: from my every experience of their power time after time I am certain that they exist, and I revere them.

I didnt say anyone had to chose. Why do cities stress you out?
Gonna chock it up to just sensory overload. Same thing happens in malls, supermarkets, and even some smaller stores. Too many people, too many unfamiliar sounds, and way too many unusual smells. I'm especially sensitive to noise and smell so I can't really stand being in a city for more than maybe a week at max. I enjoy the aesthetic of lit-up cities at night and I like to drive through downtown Richmond on summer nights (when it's a lot more quiet and less crowded) but in the daytime they have a tendency to raise my anxiety level and hurt my ears/nose.

Perfectly understandable. cities are not for everyone.National Capitalist United States wrote:Cities, especially big ones like Toronto or Bogota or New York or whatever are superior to rural areas, in my opinion.
I agree completely and I find suburbs which some see as a middle ground to be boring.
