The E-022-40 is well protected and mobile allowing it to respond quickly to bring its weapons into action. The Crew is protected inside an armored box with the commander having a well-protected high visibility turret for increased situational awareness. Intended for urban and highway use, it is well suited to offroad travel and can maintain a high rate of speed in most situations.
The Steel polymer, and ballistic fabric armor, light steel outer shell, and a large amount of spacing between inner and outer shells provide significant protection without additional wieght. It is airconditioned, heated, and fitted with filters to keep out chemical and radiological threats to give it some protection from nonconventional threats.
