ZL-2000/10, ZL-2000/9, ZL-2000/6 HANDGUN SERIES

Image

OVERVIEW

The Zawisza-Láník-2000 series of handguns is one of the first-indigenously produced handguns in Lauzanne, and has served with the Army, Air Force, Navy and National Service for the past 22 years faithfully. It is a hammer-fired double action/single action handgun with a polymer frame and double-stack magazines. Since it's adoption by the Army, it has also become a popular civilian handgun, comparing very favourably to the commonly found PM handguns. Controls for the handgun are ambidextrous, and in keeping with it's simple and low cost nature the two safety catches are manual. Rather than the more contemporary tilting barrel mechanism, the ZL-2000 uses a short-recoil, rotating barrel mechanism. This uncommon method of action, as well as it's strong internal mechanisms allow it to be used with over-pressure ammunition such as the Russian 7N21 and 7N31 ammunition, allowing it greater usage against individuals using body armour. Such features make it popular with law enforcement and counterterrorist units, owing to the trend of terrorists and hardened criminals coming better equipped and protected than ever before.

Disassembly and maintenance are both easy affairs to carry out in the field, resulting in a compact, ergonomic and powerful handgun, comparing very favourably to it's peers.

FZ-P Series

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 8:31 am

FZ-P10 & FZ-P9 HANDGUN SERIES

Image

OVERVIEW

Despite the success of the ZL-2000 series handguns, the Forestry Guards were not fully satisfied by the newcomer handgun, instead choosing to stick by their assortment of Makarov, Tokarev and Stetchkin handguns. After the Bulgarian Summer event of 2006 that left several Forestry Guards injured and two dead, the need for a new handgun was recognised. The new handgun had to be striker-fired to allow for easier ergonomics on the shooter, as well as take 10x20mm overpressure ammunition like the ZL-2000 can. This resulted in two handguns, the unsuccessful (and uncommon) ZL-SP10 handgun which was a modification of the original ZL-2000 to a striker fired handgun with the same ergonomics, and the FZ-P10. Due to the latter's lower bore axis, additional round in the magazine, smoother recoil and superior feel. This resulted in the official adoption of the FZ-P10 into the greater LDF, and it has been seen in the hands of special forces operators since.

The FZ-P10 is an Aluminium framed, striker fired handgun utilising the same short-recoil mechanism as the ZL-2000, with the added benefit of an extra round in the magazine and a de-cocker. Sights are removable and replaceable with aftermarket offerings, and the slide plate allows for various optics to be placed on top at the operator's discretion. A smooth trigger pull rounds out the package.

ZL-PDW "Vydra"

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 8:56 am

ZL-PDW "Vydra" Personal Defence Weapon

Image

OVERVIEW

The Zawisza-Láník-Personal Defence Weapon, nicknamed the "Vydra" (Otter) is born from the necessity for covert agents, sniper teams and vehicle crews to have more firepower than just a handgun, but also carrying a full length rifle or carbine can be detrimental to being able to carry out their mission or weigh them down unnecessarily. Before then, the H&K MP7 was utilised by some specialists, but the proprietary ammo was a limiting factor in availability, being shared with no other weapon in the LDF's Arsenal. Thus, the trial for the new PDW was born. Zawisza-Láník won the contract, and in doing so has delivered to all branches of the LDF. It's main advantage is using the same over-pressure ammunition as both handguns in LDF service, allowing for ammunition commonality and even magazine commonality with the Zl-2000. The locations of the magazine release and safety catch are in the same place, allowing for people trained on the ZL-2000 to quickly transition to using a PDW.

the Zl-PDW is a polymer-bodied, select fire PDW with a collapsing stock, optional suppressor, and a rail on which to mount optics. When collapsed without a suppressor, it's barely larger than a handgun, allowing for greater flexibility when operating in a covert manner. The use of a similar short-recoil action allows for a compact size, and it's larger magazines allow one to stay in the firefight longer than with just a handgun. Another feature is the ability to change the barrel and bolt to replace them with a 6.5x25mm barrel with a common 9mm Parabellum bolt, allowing for usage of the powerful CBJ ammunition without compromising on capacity.

SPECS

Name: ZL-PDW "Vydra"

Calibre: 9x19mm Parabellum, 6.5x25 CBJ, 10x20mm LDS
Action: Short-Recoil, Rotating Barrel, Hammer Fired.
Sights: Fixed front and rear sight, panel for optics. Raised suppressor sights optional

FZ-8 Series Battle Rifle

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 9:15 am

FZ-8/FZ-8M BATTLE AND MARKSMAN RIFLE SERIES

Image

OVERVIEW

Despite the long and storied history of marksman rifles in the LDF (At one point the SVD was considered squad-level armament), the Civil War of 1981 and the later Refusal War brought with it the massive turmoil of logistics. By the end of the Refusal War in a991 and going into the 2000's, the LDF had no less than three separate marksman rifles: the Dragunov SVD, the Romanian PSL and the Yugoslavian Zastava M76. Needless to say, logistics was not happy, and in the 2000's as part of the long process of modernisation, the FZ-8 was born.

However, with a change in needs and a requirement for greater precision, the FZ-8M was forged out of it's predecessor. Optimised for accuracy and consistency, the use of a heavy free-floated threaded barrel allowed for greater accuracy at range and suppressor capability. It is the current standard-issue marksman rifle of the LDF.

Utilising a short-stroke gas piston, the FZ-8 and the FZ-8M are both noted for being smooth shots, even with the larger 8x56mm munition. The use of a solid but adjustable stock on the FZ-8M aids in stability, along with new Picatinny type rails along the top and bottom of the rifle. LDF marksmen are more than capable of engaging targets well-beyond a kilometre with ZL-made match-grade ammunition.

AN-21 Assault Rifle

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 9:53 am

AVTOMAT NOROVA MOD.21 ASSAULT RIFLE

Image

OVERVIEW

Considered by many firearms experts as "The Tokyo Drift of the Kalashnikov family", the AN-21 is a radical restructuring and re-design of the iconic Kalashnikov rifle to bring it to the "Absolute peak of what a Kalashnikov can do", according to it's designer Anton Norova. Equipped with many modern features such as a free-floated handguard, ambidextrous selector switch, bolt-hold open and many more features, the rifle's adoption as the LDF's standard service rifle to replace the older AN-2000 rifles mixed with the AK-74's in LDF service.

First seen in scant photographs in 2018 and 2019, the usage of the rifle in the final days of the Spring War surprised many people with what looked like a far more advanced rifle compared to the older Kalashnikovs they were often found beside. Officially unveiled as the future service rifle of the LDF in the 2021 Independence Day Parade, the existence of such a rifle shocked some observers and failed to surprise others. Now seeing it's use in the hands of main-line soldiers in more promotional material, the rifle is set to be the LDF's choice for now and the future.

The AN-21 uses a completely re-designed gas system and bolt, allowing for many improvements to the ergonomics, stability and usability of the rifle. Instead of a dust cover/selector switch, an ambidextrous Western-style switch has been added with four positions: Safe, Semi, 3 round burst and Automatic. The ejection port as been re-designed to be smaller, along with the entire dust cover being retained by two captive pins to allow for greater stability and mounting optics on the top Picatinny rail. Magazines are reverse-compatible with all AK-74 magazines, and the modern manufacture magazines contain a bolt hold-open, actuated just above the trigger.

The biggest departure from the traditional AK system is the gas piston system, being more in line with the AK-107 and AEK-971's Balanced Recoil System. Rather than a traditional long-stroke piston system where the piston and bolt carrier are sent backwards with each shot to cycle the action, an L-shaped counterweight sits on top of the piston. When the gas actuates both pistons, a gear in the mechanism ensures the piston and counterweight travel at the same rate rearwards and forwards respectively. Both reaching their end of travel at the same time cancels a large amount of momentum, keeping the recoil impulse extremely low.

Provisions are made to mount grenade launchers as well as bayonets at the user's discretion. Rifles can be sold in either the AN-21-5 (5.45x39), AN-21-6 (5.56) or AN-21-7 (7.62x39) configurations. The muzzle is threaded to allow for the installation of a rifle grenade muzzle brake, or suppressor as the situation requires.

ZL-RX Universal Combat Rifle

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 10:27 am

ZL-RX UNIVERSAL COMBAT RIFLE

Image

OVERVIEW

The ZL-RX (Zawisza-Láník Rifle, eXperimental) was initially a private venture for export, worked on since the mid-2000's and developed in a wide variety of calibres for use by countries all around the world. However, the Spring War in 2010 put a stop to the plans and it had to be shelved for more pressing matters. However, engineers at Zawisza-Láník worked on perfecting the rifle, and now with the end of the Spring War, the ZL-RX can finally fulfil the role it was made for.

The ZL-RX Universal Combat Rifle is a relatively simple and modular system, with the choice of two receiver types (Magazine-fed and Magazine/Belt-fed) and five different barrel lengths (Rifle, Carbine, Integrally Suppressed, SAW 18" and SAW 12") and a selection of several calibres (5.56x45 NATO/300 Blackout, 6x43 SDS/10x43 SPS, 7.62x39/9x39 and 5.45x39) for upper receivers allows customers to pick and choose their entire infantry's standard weaponry with a common lower receiver and easily-changed upper receivers and barrel lengths. This allows for a high level of flexibility among any fighting force, and can smoothen out the transition from one calibre to another.

Please note that when ordering, one should specify what calibre they want their upper receivers and bolts to be delivered in, as well as various barrel lengths (two included with every ZL-RX) as required by the client. Also any SAW barrels are quick-changeable.

Raikka GPMG

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 10:51 am

RAIKKA 8MM GPMG

Image

OVERVIEW

The PKM is a legendary machinegun, many people contend it's one of the greatest in the world. The LDF used it on both sides in the Civil and Refusal Wars, and when the 8x56mm cartridge was being developed, the PKM was seen as a natural fit for a modernisation and the new cartridge. The PKM's weaknesses were examined and scrutinised, the Raikka being made to refine the already venerable and effective design. Accepted into service soon after and loved by LDF troops, it maintains the same low weight, with refinements that made it a breeze for machinegunners to operate.

The Raikka improves on it's ancestor by means of including a hand-guard on the front, a folding stock to allow easier transport inside vehicles, and a relocated barrel change mechanism, allowing for quicker replacements of hot barrels in combat. The more powerful 8x56mm also gives the Raikka better engagement range and stronger stopping power. Another refinement is M240 style attachment points for either a vehicle pintle or a tripod, allowing for greater flexibility and range for the already-versatile MG.

HMG-14B Heavy Machine Gun

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 11:40 am

HMG-14B HEAVY MACHINE GUN

Okay, this thing is seriously that big I can't post it here Link to the image.

OVERVIEW

Heavy Machine Guns are a mainstay of defensive positions, providing heavy levels of firepower out to long range and threatening many earlier armoured vehicles through sheer firepower. the LDF post-Refusal War had a mix of Soviet-era Utes and DShK machine guns alongside Western M2HB's, which presented a problem for logistics. So, in 2000, Zawisza-Láník unveiled the HMG-14B, with the new 14x110mm SDS and 20x110mm SDS cartridges. The use of swappable barrels for different calibres has since become a mainstay of the LDF, also being adopted on the AMR-14B platform for sniping and anti-materiel work.

The HMG-14B is best considered a man-portable autocannon, able to fire 20mm HEI rounds along with a variety of ammunition. This weapon represents an extreme danger to most targets, but also must be used with similar caution due to being such a heavy weapon. LDF teams operate in a five man team: Two to carry the gun, two assistants for ammunition and the spare barrel, and a gun commander to direct fire.

PLEASE NOTE: Although unit cost may appear high, that is because the HMG-14B ships with:
-One receiver and weapon assembly with four barrels (two 14mm, two 20mm)
-One attachable bipod for infantry use
-Two dedicated HMG scopes (one for either calibre) PLUS a red dot sight with magnifier.
-A 6T7L tripod mount

GL-40S Single Shot Grenade Launcher

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 11:50 am

GL-40S SINGLE SHOT GRENADE LAUNCHER

Image

(AN-21 for scale and showing mount. Not included with the sale.

OVERVIEW

Grenade launchers have been a staple of infantry units since WW2. Starting with the rifle grenades of the era, progressing into stand-alone launchers such as the M79 and later moving to under barrel setups like the M203 and GP-25 which find themselves at the squad level. Indispensable for delivering smoke, flares and high explosive to targets in defilade, cover or at distances higher than a conventional hand grenade can be thrown.

As with many Lauzannean arms, the story of the GL-40S began with it's political situation, and how such politics tie into calibres. On one side was the standard NATO rounds, the 40mm LV and HV ammunition which would bring them in line with the West, but at high cost, fitting them to the AK-74's and having to replace the excellent AGS-17 and AGS-30 AGLs. On the other hand was the 40mm caseless grenades used by the GP-25, which were specific to the grenade launcher and different completely to the AGS' 30x29mm rounds. Streamlining was in order, and Lauzanneans had an idea.

Using the same High-Low system that the 40mm LV and caseless rounds also utilise, the 30x29mm LV rounds utilise the exact same projectiles as the AGL, but with a modified case to allow use inside the GL-30S. A reduced case size specialised for the 30S also prevents the high-velocity 30x29 from being loaded into the round.

For reloading, a button on the right hand side allows the chamber to tilt left, allowing for insertion of the long rounds. A simple safety catch and crisp trigger enable firing to be accurate, with sights graduated to 500m The standalone kit is made of high strength polymer with a folding collapsible stock. A side-mounted iron sight is standard, with the stock possessing a picatinny rail for the mounting of an optic such as a red-dot sight with a riser that can tilt and alter range to aim up to 600m away.

SPECS

Name: GL-40S
Mass: 1.4kg (Launcher) 2.5kg (full standalone)
Length: 346mm (launcher) 662mm (Standalone, stock extended)
Barrel Length: 210mm

Calibre: 30x29mm LV

GL-20 "Grom" Magazine-Fed Grenade Launcher.

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 12:08 pm

GL-20M "GROM" 20MM MAGAZINE FED GRENADE LAUNCHER

Image

OVERVIEW

In the Spring War, Forestry Guards units were often the first to respond to possible Red Star Army activity, from banditry to kidnapping. However, due to the Forestry Guards' Gendarmerie nature and a requirement to not allow the other side propaganda material to say that the police were just a second military, a novel approach needed to be taken to the issue of dealing with lightly armoured RSA vehicles. Such vehicles were often cars or trucks, although at times BMP's and BTR's were encountered. Federální Zbrojovka soon after created the GL-20M "Grom" (Thunder), and through it's performance it attracted the attention of the Army and Special Forces.

Based off of the same overall chassis as the PR338 and the AMR-14B, the GL-20M looks like an oversized bullpup rifle. Utilising a recoil-action system and a rotating bolt, along with a large rear mainspring and a massive muzzle brake to contain the monstrous recoil, the Grom weighs less than a GPMG but it is fully capable of destroying a BMP in combat. Unlike other grenade launchers, the Grom utilises 20x55mm ammunition, resulting in a high muzzle velocity and a very flat trajectory. Such projectiles can allow an assaulting squad to hit a machine gun nest or other fortification in a precise manner, as well as allowing a strong enough APDS round to penetrate and destroy engine blocks of cars and other soft-skinned vehicles.

Another feature the Grom comes with is the RF scope, courtesy of Cerny Optical. the CO-RF20G contains a laser rangefinder, night vision and wind-speed sensors, allowing accurate delivery of grenades out to high ranges. Lastly, a suppressor is available, recommended for urban combat and where concealability is important. Owing to a distinctive flash and noise (hence the name Thunder) a suppressor is recommended in urban areas. Feeding is accomplished by either replacing the magazine or insertion of a stripper clip through the trap door located above the magazine.

SPECS

Name: GL-20M "Grom"
Mass: 4.8kg (unloaded), 6.1kg (Loaded)
Length: 891mm (muzzle brake)
Barrel Length: 646mm (inc. muzzle brake)

Calibre: 20x55G
Action: Recoil-operated, Semi-automatic.
Sights: Picatinny Rail, platform for red dot sight to aim out to 1200m, CO-RF20G Rangefinding Scope

PR338 Bolt-action Sniper Rifle

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 12:20 pm

PR338 BOLT-ACTION SNIPER RIFLE

Image

OVERVIEW

With a greater need for precision and sniper rifles in the GWOT and changes in the LDF's employment of snipers as dedicated specialists, a tender was put forward for a bolt-action high precision rifle that fires the .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge to enable long-range precision fires. The tender was answered by the three main firearms manufacturers, but the sole victor of the contract was FZ's offering.

The PR338 is a straight-pull bolt-action sniper rifle that uses a bullpup configuration, retaining a 26 inch heavy profile barrel for maximum accuracy. The action of the bolt is smooth, the straight back-forward action allowing for rapid follow-up shots. A long picatinny rail on the top allows for the mounting of various optics to suit the operator's needs, with a similar rail on the bottom for bipods or other equipment.

PR338's were first used in Afghanistan, but their most iconic role was used in the Spring War alongside it's anti-materiel rifle, SVD and ZL-BRX compatriots in engaging enemy snipers and HVT's. Images of LDF sniper teams utilising such rifles appeared online often, drawing international attention to the rifle.

AMR-14 Semi-Automatic Anti-Materiel Rifle

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 12:34 pm

AMR-14 SEMI-AUTOMATIC ANTI-MATERIEL RIFLE

Image

OVERVIEW

The M82, the KSVK, the PTRS. Anti-materiel rifles are commonplace in today's conflicts and have been for decades. They allow a sniper team to conduct EOD, counter-sniping operations, destruction of soft-skinned vehicles, as well as damaging or destroying equipment that is sensitive to the enemy's success. For this task, Zawisza-Láník has created the AMR-14, a versatile and reliable anti-materiel weapon.

Chambered for the same 14x110mm ammunition as the rest of the LDF's heavier small arms, the AMR-14 is a relatively lightweight and accurate weapon with excellent penetration, accuracy and bullet weight. In addition, the GP-2 rounds for them are designed and patterned off of the 50 calibre Mk211 "Raufoss" ammunition, allowing a potent explosion and strong armour penetration capabilities. SLAP and API ammunition is also available for purchase, allowing for a well-rounded weapons platform capable of damaging or destroying a wide variety of targets.

Name: AMR-14
Mass: 14.1kg (Unloaded)
Length: 1587mm
Barrel Length: 989mm

Calibre: 14x110mm
Action: Long-stroke gas piston, rotating bolt.

AMR-14B Semi-Automatic Anti-Materiel Rifle

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 12:54 pm

AMR-14B 14/20MM ANTI MATERIEL RIFLE

Image

OVERVIEW

Perhaps the strangest weapon in the catalogue by far, the AMR-14B is a unique-looking anti-materiel rifle with the capability to fire either 14x110mm ammunition, or with a barrel swap 20x110mm ammunition. This presents versatility between the very fast 14mm rounds, and the slower but explosive 20mm.

The AMR-14B is a long-recoil operated firearm, significantly reducing felt recoil along with the large muzzle brake. Transportation can happen between two soldiers with the barrel being transported separately, allowing a team of two to set up a sniping position with adequate ammunition for the task at hand. In addition, the over-the-shoulder arrangement allows for superior prone shooting.

SPECS

Name: AMR-14B
Mass: 29kg
Length: 1530mm (ready to fire), 1155 (packed)
Barrel Length: 1157mm

Calibre: 14x110 LDS, 20x110 LDS
Action: Long Recoil, Semi-automatic.
Sights: Offset picatinny rail to mount optics.

L-6 Light Disposable Anti-Tank Launcher

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:16 pm

L-6 LIGHTWEIGHT DISPOSABLE ANTI-TANK ROCKET LAUNCHER

Image

OVERVIEW

In many ways, the Soviet and now Russian RPG-18 is very similar to the M72 LAW, and then again, the L-6 is very similar to it's Eastern and Western counterparts. In reality, there's not much different one can actually do. Lightweight, easy to use and reliable in disabling light vehicles, it's 380mm RHAe penetration is likely to be used best against fortified buildings, soft-skin vehicles, and use the HE version for disposable anti-personnel work. Likely to be best-used by nations that don't face advanced or heavy combat vehicles.

The L-6 is simple to operate: Remove the two caps, pull the rear sliding tube out, aim at the target, press the button.

SPECS

Name: Blanchard L-6
Mass: 2.5kg
Length: 633mm (stowed), 871mm (ready to fire)

Calibre: 64mm
Sights: Plastic graduated sights to 200m
Effective Range: 250m
Penetration: 380mm RHAe

L-7 Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:42 pm

L-7 ANTI-TANK ROCKET PROPELLED GRENADE LAUNCHER

Image

OVERVIEW

With the end of the Refusal War came the same issue that plagued all of the LDF: They had several different unguided launchers in their stable, and they had to create something to last for the next several years until the L-10A1 entered service. LDF troops liked the accuracy of the RPG-16, but there were nowhere near enough examples to be disseminated and it had lagged behind on penetration compared to the larger RPG-7's warheads. the still relatively new Blanchard took to the challenge, and out of the development process came the L-7. Reliable, with the same electric ignition system as the RPG-16, but with a bigger warhead and superior HE munitions.

the L-7 is close enough to the classical RPG-7 that the only real difference is that the projectiles are under-calibre (where the projectile is not as wide as the bore) and it uses an electrical system instead of the RPG 7's hammer.

SPECS

Name: Blanchard L-7
Mass: 8.2kg
Length: 1086mm (Unloaded), 1339mm (Loaded, ready to fire)

Calibre: 72mm
Action: Electrical ignition, single shot

Effective firing range: 600m (stationary target), 300m (tanks)
Penetration: 500mm RHAe
Other Projectiles: HE

L-10A1 Heavy Anti-tank Launcher

Postby Lauzanne » Sat Feb 20, 2021 2:37 pm

L-10A1 Heavy Rocket Propelled Grenade

Image

OVERVIEW

Towards the end of the Refusal War, the LDF had suffered vehicle losses at the hands of RPG-29 operators. After capturing a handful at the end of the Refusal War, Blanchard was quickly contracted to reverse-engineer and improve this potent anti-tank system. Although the collapse of the USSR happened as well, Lauzannean defence officials knew it was only a matter of time before Lauzanne faced another threat.

The main weaknesses of the RPG-29 is it's length and weight. The initial L-10 models were considered underwhelming, with not enough weight saving to be used by light infantry and airborne units. With extra funding and foreign technical assistance, the L-10A1 was developed. Weighing in at only 8.4kg unloaded with the optical sight, and with a significant length reduction, the L10A1 has been accepted into service, phasing out the older L-7 launcher gradually.

One of the other large advantages over the RPG-29 is the use of an advanced rangefinding sight that enables more precise fire at targets located near the edge of the maximum effective range. By also factoring in wind speed, operators are able to accurately fire on hostile vehicles with a high probability of a hit.

SPECS

Name: Blanchard Manufacturing L-10A1
Mass: 8.4kg unloaded, 15.3kg ready to fire.
Length: 1450mm (ready to fire), 770mm (Packed)

BM-60 Lightweight Infantry Mortar

Postby Lauzanne » Fri Mar 12, 2021 10:23 am

BM-60 LIGHTWEIGHT INFANTRY MORTAR

Image

OVERVIEW

The LDF still follows the Soviet belief that artillery is the king of the battlefield, still utilising both towed and SP artillery. Mortars are a fixture in any given infantry battalion, and the LDF is no exception. However, given the light infantry and airborne units the LDF possesses, the need for a lightweight, man-portable and capable 60mm mortar presented itself.

Blanchard Manufacturing is the premier manufacturers of explosives in Lauzanne, manufacturing the L-10A1, L-7 and L-6. They also manufacture munitions for the current range of artillery and guided missile systems in the LDF's inventory. They developed the BM-60 in-line with other 60mm mortars in current world service, so there is less need to change ammunition stocks.

The BM-60 is in three parts, the main tube that weighs 6kg, the baseplate that weighs 5.8kg, and the bipod and sight that weigh 4.4kg. Ranging can be done via the dials on the bipod, allowing traverse to 20 degrees either side without having to reposition the bipod. It is easily carried by a team of light infantry, and can be air dropped with minimal special preparations. It has the full range of current 60mm mortar rounds, from HE, to smoke and illumination.

SPECS

Name: BM-63
Total Weight w/ Base: 16.2 kg's
Barrel length: 850mm
Calibre: 60mm
Rate of fire: 19 Rounds per Minute
Muzzle velocity: 156 M/Sec (Mach 0.46)

ATM-1 "Contender" ATGM

Postby Lauzanne » Fri May 14, 2021 4:26 am

ATM-1 "CONTENDER" ATGM

Image

OVERVIEW

With the 21st century looming, the LDF was in a bad way when it came to ATGM's. Using the Corsar, Kornet, Fagot, Konkurs and Metis at one point simultaneously, the need for cutting down on different types of missiles was apparent to any logistical planner. Although interested by various Western missiles, the Spike system attracted the most attention in concept. Utilising a single family of missiles across the board would make logistics, costs and procurement all the easier, with standardised parts, training and missiles. Adopted into service originally for AFVs, the system saw extensive use throughout the Spring War, successfully destroying many RSA tanks, vehicles, strong points and even some low flying helicopters. The ATM-1ER variant is larger and designed to be fired from ATGM vehicles, helicopters, small ships and other appropriate firing positions, with an extended range and larger warhead.

The Advanced Tactical Missile "Contender" is a lightweight, man portable multi-purpose ATGM consisting of a firing post, sight, launch tube and the missile itself. A complete system weighs 27kg with a missile loaded, and is capable of engaging armoured and soft skinned vehicles, tanks, strong-points, low flying aircraft, helicopters and drones, and even relatively small boats. Missiles for the infantry-portable firing post are both Tandem-charge HEAT with a fragmentation sleeve suitable for all targets. The primary difference is the ATM-1 is wire-guided and the ATM-2 is wirelessly guided. The system is cold-launched, allowing for firing indoors with minimal risk to the operators.

SPECS

AMR-25X 25mm Anti Materiel Rifle

Postby Lauzanne » Mon Sep 20, 2021 12:43 pm

AMR-25X 25MM ANTI MATERIEL RIFLE

Image

OVERVIEW

Based off of the successful and well-liked AMR-14, feedback from soldiers accustomed to using the AMR-14B found the weight was extremely high and the HE effect too low for most conventional operations. Along with early studies showing the effectiveness of airburst munitions, a new 25mm round was developed in the higher-velocity 25x65 for anti materiel and AGL use, the lower velocity 25x40 for more man-portable grenade launchers.

The AMR-25X shares a chassis, safety, trigger group and overall gas system with the AMR-14, with the primary differences being the mainspring, bolt, receiver, magazine and barrel built to accommodate the larger rounds. In addition a new computerised sight and fuse programmer was designed alongside both the AMR-25X and the GL-25MX to allow for airburst, delay detonation and target range finding and ballistics calculation capabilities. Despite the increased weight, the AMR-25X is still very man portable, allowing a two-man team to carry it virtually anywhere unaided.

SPECS

Name: AMR-25X
Mass: 15.3kg (Unloaded)
Length: 1,291mm
Barrel Length: 580mm

Calibre: 25x65G
Action: Semi-Automatic, Long-stroke piston.
Sights: Picatinny Rail, every unit comes with a LRS-2 scope and a RFS-25XA rangefinding scope with fuse programmer
Capacity: 5 rounds

GL-25MX "Bulldog" 25mm Grenade Launcher

Postby Lauzanne » Mon Sep 20, 2021 1:22 pm

GL-25MX "BULLDOG" 25MM GRENADE LAUNCHER

Image

OVERVIEW

The Gl-20M "Grom" is loved by LDF infantry, with the ability to directly suppress machinegun nests and other prepared positions in a package that weighs less than a GPMG. In addition to it's high explosive capability, armour penetration capabilities allowed it to disable light enemy vehicles such as BRDMs and BMPs in the Spring War, allowing light infantry to engage mechanised formations with far higher effectiveness. However, with a study conducted on airburst munitions in combat, the undeniable advantage brought forward the need for a larger cartridge. Federalini Zbrojovka developed the GL-25MX as a companion to the AMR-25X, with the former firing the lower velocity 25x40G grenades.

The entire gun is made from a high performance, aluminium reinforced polymer that allows for the ever-important reduction in weight, resulting in a man portable design. The bullpup layout reduces the overall length to shorter than that of a ZL-RX or Norova rifle, offering no challenge to mechanised infantry dismounting from their vehicle. At just 6.1kg unloaded, it is lighter than the FN Minimi/M249 SAW.

Fitted with a computerised optical sight that calculates range, the front grip acts as the controller for the airburst. Switching between bursting before the lased range, after the lased range or either point detonation or delay detonation allows for engagement in various environments, maximising lethality for the grenadier in any given squad. The attached muzzle brake gives an acceptable level of felt recoil, and the adjustment available on the sight allows people of various heights to operate the weapon.

SPECS

Name: GL-25MX "Bulldog"
Mass: 6.1kg (Unloaded)
Length: 799mm
Barrel Length: 450mm

Calibre: 25x40G
Action: Semi-Automatic, Short-Stroke Piston.

GR-20X "Chimera" 20mm Grenade Launcher

Postby Lauzanne » Mon Sep 20, 2021 1:51 pm

GR-20X "CHIMERA" 20MM GRENADE LAUNCHER

Image

OVERVIEW

Another attempt to supplement or replace the GL-20M "Grom" grenade launcher came about from feedback by infantry. In the TO&E of many units, Grenadiers in a given unit have to carry a Grom along with a carbine for self defence. Although this allowed soldiers to participate in close combat as well as suppress enemy positions and attack infantry in light cover, the awkwardness of carrying two separate firearms was considered by many as a drawback. Mating a modified ZL-RX rifle with a re-designed Grom receiver using a newer lightweight barrel allows for both weapons to be carried as one.

Using the Grom's bullpup nature and the compact capabilities of the ZL-RX, the minimal changes to both kept overall costs down while retaining high capabilities. It is no longer than the standard assault rifle, and although 7kg loaded is a high number for a standard rifle, it is lower than carrying both weapons separately.

SPECS

Name: GR-20X "Chimera"
Mass: 5.5kg (Unloaded), 7kg (Loaded)
Length: 818mm
Barrel Length: 290mm (rifle) 420mm (GL)

SP-8 Silent Pistol

Postby Lauzanne » Mon Sep 20, 2021 2:08 pm

SP-8 SILENT PISTOL

Image

OVERVIEW

Made from a special request by the SVRL, the SP-8 was made when the stocks of PSS pistols and SP-4 ammunition was running low in the SVRL's and the Lauzannean SOF's stocks. Seeing as both the handgun and ammunition was Russian and thus hard to come by and impossible to source, FZ started work on a successor handgun. Using all the information provided from the PSS, as well as what few examples of SP-4 pistoning ammunition was left, engineers were able to create an improved version for use by agents and SOF operators in missions where a compact, quiet handgun was valued above other considerations such as range or penetration capability.

Built from aluminium alloy, the SP-8 is extremely light weight, short and concealable. With an empty weight of just 650 grams, it is sure to not impede any prospective agent's gait and give away themselves to all but the most careful eye. The ammunition is a unique piston-mechanism type, where the round sits flush with the lip of the case. When fired, a piston is propelled forwards, trapping the expanding gases while the hardened steel core is propelled from the short barrel. This has resulted in sound levels being roughly at 120db when fired, matching larger suppressed handguns in a significantly shorter package.

SPECS

Name: SP-8
Mass: 650g (unloaded), 800g (loaded)
Length: 165mm
Barrel Length: 76mm

Action: Semi-Automatic
