Welcome to Laker City Pepe The Great International Airport
This is the airport of Crabaiaia's capital, and is the international hub for Crabaiaia, though some charter passenger and cargo flights come and go, we never had a permanent airline presence here in the airport (except for say Air Chania) and so we decided to open our doors for airlines who want to set up a permanent presence here. We are also opening our doors to businesses such as restaurants, souvenir stores, or duty free stores to set up shop here as well, yes we do have those commodities here at Pepe The Great International, but the shops are usually seasonal staying for 10 months then closing for 2 months per year.
So, yes, this is a busy airport, but only for parts of the year. And I will say this again, we need permanent presence of airlines here.
So, this is what you need to know.
Information
Pepe The Great International has 3 Terminals, but only 2 are for international flights, each terminal is divided into a departure and arrivals storey, each terminal has 60 check-in counters, 11 are reserved for charter airlines, 4 are reserved for Air Chania. Respectively we have 15 luggage belts per arrival storey, so 30 luggage belts in total. We also have slots for 50 stores per terminal so there is that. Each terminal also has 15 gates, which can be shared by up to 8 airlines at a time. Each airline can have up to 2 gates. Lastly, we have 30 cargo check-in counters for cargo airlines only, simply drop off the luggage
Each check-in counter can hold up to maximum of 4 airlines sharing at once, each airline can have up to 5 check-in counters maximum as per airport policy. Policy also applies to cargo airlines.
Crabaiaia doesn't allow the following things on an aircraft:
- Narcotic Drugs (obvious reason)
- Bottles of more than 100 ml in volume (can fit a bomb)
- Firearms (obvious)
- Any fluffed object (say a pillow or a teddy bear) that is more than 51% stuffed (can explode at high altitudes due to air pressure, airport has a destuffing station to release the pressure on pillows or stuffed toys)
- Cooking Knives (obvious) (though with some authorization and processing such as having a chef's license, cleavers and vegetable knives are allowed)
- Electronics heavier than 10kg, if you want to a ship a computer by plane then you must ship the parts seperately (Well, this is harder to justify, but remember this can affect the gravitational center of an aircraft)
- Anything flammable (obvious)
Other than that, it's up to your airline's policy to what defines contraband.
Security
Pepe The Great International is guarded by mostly civilian police, with metal detectors, and all the cheesy airport stuff. However due to the 2nd Beta Uprising currently going on, you will see some members of the Civil Guard, a semi-civilian faction of the Crabaiaian Army are present in the airport in case rebels have plans to hijack the airport. Just don't mess with the soldiers lest... you will...have something happen to you...
Financial Policy
Okay, here is a deal
- By default, you owe us 20% of your profits (for your airline or business) as rent
- If you are willing to accept to share a check-in counter, we will reduce the cost of your rent to 15% of your profits
- If you accept sharing a gate AND your check-in counter, we will reduce the cost of your rent to 10%
Also free fuel for your planes, since we have a lot of oil anyways
