Professional Sports leagues operate in five sports, over six leagues.

Baseball: National Baseball League, first contested in 1903. The NBL also has a minor league system. It is the oldest professional league in Barnettsville.

Football: Continental Football League, first contested in 1920.

Hockey: The Hockey League, first contested in 1917. Like the NBL, they also have a minor league system.

Basketball: The Basketball Association, first contested in.
- Women's Basketball clamored for their own league, and their persistance was rewarded with a league in 2000.

Soccer: First contested in 1990. The newest league of the six.
