Full Economic Reporting for Regions With 2k members or less

Postby Independence Hill » Sun Feb 07, 2021 8:25 pm

I gather data from NSDossier and NS economic formulae to prepare a report on the economic health of my region, Independence Hill. Here is the full form:

Date:

Total Population:

Avg IQ:

Main Tax Rate:

X number of Member Nation Tax Rates:

Total Exports:

Total Imports:

Total Net Exports:

Total Consumption:

Avg Exchange Rate:

Absolute Exchange Rate:

Inflation Rate:

Avg Unemployment Rate: 2.93%

Avg Income: Poorest 10%: | Middle Class: | Wealthiest 10%:

Money Supply:

Savings & Investment:

Velocity of Money:

Gross Regional Product:

Gross Regional Product Per Capita:

The method of calculation:

IQ: (√((HDI + Intelligence) x Productivity Score) / 100) + ECS = IQ

Example:

(HDI + Intelligence) x Productivity Score = (x)

√(x) / 100 = y

y + Economic Classification Score = IQ.

66.29 + 40.65 = 106.94

106.94 x 20,000 = 2,138,800

√(2,138,800) = 1,462.46367476

1,462.46367476 / 100 = y or 14.6246367476

14.6246367476 + 110 = 124.6246367476

Economic Productivity Rating: This is used in an equation that tracks the exchange rate of the Universal Treasury Note. A value is attached to whichever classification the economy is given. Example: Frightening = 50,000 and is the maximum. The scoring for this is inspired by NS Economic Formulae, but not identical. Scoring is set by the United States of Independence Hill but not totally far off from NS Economic Formulae scoring.

Employment Rate: NSDossier

Exports: NSDossier

Imports: NSDossier

Balance of Trade: How much more or less are we importing than exporting...

Average Exchange Rate: Exchange rate averaged between members of the region, values taken from NSDossier.

Absolute Exchange Rate: √(GRP Per Capita * EPR / 404,000,000) This is going to be the square root of (GRP per capita multiplied by the Economic Productivity Rating and then divided by 404,000,000).

Inflation: Subtract the starting date exchange rate from the end date exchange rate and divide by the starting date exchange rate. Multiply by 100 and your answer is the rate as a percentage.

Federal Income Tax: Set by the United States of Independence Hill and applies to every citizen of every State in the nation.

State Income Tax: Each member of the United States of Independence Hill region is classified by the Federal Government as a State and their taxes apply only to the citizens of their State.

Average Income: NationStates Trends.

Consumer Spending: NSDossier.

GRP: NSDossier.

GRP per capita: NSDossier.

Federal Budget: The budget percentage is listed in the Government section of the main page the Federal Government resides. That percentage is applied to GRP.

Federal Spending: This can also be found in the Government section of the main page Federal Government resides. Multiple States provide more tax payers and a larger GRP, which expands the Federal Budget, but they do not bring further expenses with them.

Money Supply: GDP or GRP minus 50 Trillion.

Savings & Investment: GDP or GRP minus Consumer Spending.

Velocity of Money: GDP or GRP divided by Money Supply.

Economic Productivity and Classification Scores: (Productivity / Classification)

Frightening = 50,000 / 100

All-Consuming = 45,000 / 95

Powerhouse = 40,000 / 90

Thriving = 35,000 / 85

Very Strong = 30,000 / 80

Strong = 25,000 / 75

Good = 20,000 / 70

Fair = 15,000 / 65

Reasonable = 10,000 / 60

Developing = 5,000 / 55

Struggling = 3,000 / 50

Weak = 1,000 / 45

Fragile = 500 / 40

Basket Case = 250 / 35

Imploded = 100 / 30

I use a different scoring system for Productivity and Classification that's slightly higher than what NSDossier uses, but you can feel free to go by their scoring system. We'd like to get some feedback from game players as to what you would like to see added to this, whether you would like us to do an economic report of your region, etc.

If you would like me to do that for you, I can. It's such a big region that it would take me a day or more to calculate that many nations in one region. The region would also need a reserve currency. In my region, Independence Hill, our reserve currency is the Universal Treasury Note and we've standardized other currencies of nations in the region to equal the UTN so there is no confusion.

Problem: some of the information, but not all, is gathered from NSDossier. According to them, their maximum is 2000 and the North Pacific has 10000 nations. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to do a full economic report. But not every region is the size of yours and 10k is well above the average number most regions have. I can do a report for any region you want as long as it's 2000 member nations or less.

Yes. It's a little different for my region because we have a main currency and a few States within the region have their own. They are standardized to the main currency, which is the Universal Treasury Note. But, yes, this can be done for individual nations easily. For regions, you would need to do a little more math, but it's quite fun and can be a game changer if this economic report and the way it's calculated can be spread to other regions. I think it adds a fun and exciting angle to the game. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them and incorporate them into the report. Try it out for your region. Keep in mind that this can only be done for regions that have 2000 nations or less. But the average region has far less than 2000 nations.

Of course. Try it out. If you need any help, let me know. In order to get an inflation rate, you'll need to do two days worth of economic reporting, but everything else can be measured with no issue.

In order to get the inflation rate, you'll need to do an economic report for today and tomorrow so you can measure the second day's exchange rate with the first day's exchange rate. You can get today's exchange rate but without a previous economic report, you'll have nothing to measure your exchange rate change against.

Inflation: Subtract the starting date exchange rate from the end date exchange rate and divide by the starting date exchange rate. Multiply by 100 and your answer is the rate as a percentage.

Your money supply will be whatever your GDP is minus 50. My GDP is 202T so I would subtract 50T from that. The answer would be my money supply.

I don't think my nation has inflation, workers credits is still going to be worth the same all the time.
The accumulation per employee of workers credits for a set hour may change depending on SNLT and where on scale is the capital good or production is capable of outputing in comparison to other production tool. A accumulation of less workers credits for same output per hour means more efficient production tools are being used by other people for the same product and you're getting behind on the SN latter. About the same means there isn't any new production tool for producing the good and the economy stagnates. Having more workers credits for same output over time means equipment is getting destroyed and people are failing to produce this good as expected and you happen to be the one with the capital good able to produce more units per hour and other capital goods are producing diminishing units per hour. That is a sign of crisis and something wrong with the economy.
