Build a Continent!

Decide the history of a continent in the eastern hemisphere of its planet. The year is 6000 BCE. The continent will look small since Azgaar will be used, but it's supposed to be about the size of Antarctica. I will also start events, though I'm not sure when I will start them.

The only rules at the moment are no people from the west and nothing too unrealistic.

We will be going 10 years forward on each post. Any style of posting is allowed, just make sure you put the years you will cover at the front of your post. Example:

Year 6000 BCE: Blackacre, the first complex society on the continent, is founded. It is a heavily militaristic and imperialist society.

6000 - 5990 BCE: The fledgling Blackacre nation is already under attack, by the 'Hyanidizl' nomads, which occupy the most northern, bloated peninsula, named eponymously after the nomads. Not much is known about the unknown group(s), and Blackacre is struggling to find a way to effectively stop the constant raids.

5990-5980 BC: Blackacre continues to struggle to fend off the Hyanidzl, who are now joined by a satellite nomadic tribe known as the Noimanid. Yet the small sedentary kingdom manages to subsist well enough with their strange lifestyle known as agriculture, and they are beginning to attract a few defectors from various nomadic tribes in their quadrant of the continent.

5980-5970 BCE: Agriculture quickly expands in Blackacre, allowing it achieve a regular food supply, and even food surpluses by the end of the decade. Less people are now needed to feed the country and so small numbers begin to become professional craftsmen and soldiers.

5970-5960 BCE: A comet sighting in the beginning of the decade sparks the creation of a polytheistic religion in Blackacre, centered around a celestial sky father named M'Kaah. A temple is soon built in the capital city, becoming a major site of pilgrimages, prayer, and culture.

5960-5950 BCE: The Mashacara Confederation is born. This group of nomadic hunter-gatherers does not have access to horses, but are still a difficult force to deal with. They also begin trading with the Hyanidizl and Blackacre. Blackacre, which as of now isn't really a state but more of a group of city-states, finally unites under the Zalmumal dynasty. It continues to grow wheat and also starts growing millet. Blackacre launches a campaign against the Hyanidizl people, annexing parts of their land. The Hyanidizl start settling, and also begin farming wheat.

I still need to make the political and religious maps, but we now have a culture map. Blackacre is more Middle Eastern than European, I made the map in a rush so I'll fix it soon.

5950-5940 BCE: The 'True Hyanidizl' split off from the main group upon their introduction to agriculture and city building, claiming they are forsaking the way of their fathers. They sack the small district of Bhamdoun Aayniye (Where many horse stables are located) of the new city of Kalbagan, steal the horses in the stables before riding away. The True Hyanidizl quickly return to their nomadic ways, migrating across the west coast of the continent, occasionally raiding and killing the 'Alsazim' peoples, who have still yet to develop their own cities and civilization.

The Blackacre and Mashacara civilisations quickly develop close diplomatic relations. It seems that the Mashacara are weary of the Blackacre, and their imperialist tendencies.

5940-5930 BCE

A group of people from the west arrive at the continent and create a new settlement. They speak a complex language called Hjoskivic and their villages call themselves Hjosk. This settlement is relatively new. that the east side of the continent doesn't know about them. (Note they are not colonies, they just immigrated). New knowledge of farming Boncos (a type of fruit that stays fresh for 3 months) has been spreading from Hyanidizl.

5940-5930 BCE: The Blackacre and Mashacara civilisations end their alliance after Blackacre is accused of killing Mashacarans. The True Hyanidizl form their own nation, called Khishigta. The nomads continue fighting the settled Hyanidizl, moving east. The Alsazim become pastoral nomads.

Voided, mainly because they are still from the west (making it unrealistic as they are separated by large ocean) and it also seems to be a form of intentional rule-bending.

5930-5920 BCE: Using its superior professional army, and a new river navy, Blackacre incorporates upstream settlements and expands slightly both west and east.

Along the Great Lakes of the South, small (Slavic) city states begin to develop like Tanekford and Andrikmes that take advantage of trade from the expanding Blackacre, each other and various unorganised people groups in the area.

In the coastal area adjacent to True Hyanidizl territory, settlers from Hyanidizl who abandoned the nomadic life form a new city, Ṇuṭṭołen, on the strait.

-5920 - -5918

The western Hyanidizl develop rudimentary watercraft, and settle further along the coast near Ṇuṭṭołen. No open ocean travel is possible yet, or even in the inner or outer bay; only coastal travel and crossing at the narrowest strait is possible.

-5918 - -5910

Trade commences between Ṇuṭṭołen and the northernmost Alsazim, encouraging further development in both, and on the opposite side of the strait from Ṇuṭṭołen two more settlements are formed, Al-Ṇuṭṭuḍ and Al-Yanidiḍ.

(Note: Dot below is pharyngealization, although ḍ is /ɮˤ/ paralleling an Arabic sound change, hence why " Ṇuṭṭołen" and "Hyanidizl" are borrowed as "Ṇuṭṭuḍ" and "Yanidiḍ"; ł represents a voiceless lateral /ɬ/. Oddly enough, the Alsazim language has no /h/ or /ħ/.)

5910 BC - 5900 BC: The city of Tanekford has been conquered by its western neighbor, the city of Blesna [the unlabeled pink box], which spoke a slightly different language so they renamed it to Tanskfor, and the two cities are now a powerful trading alliance along with Andrikmes which joined voluntarily.

Meanwhile, south of the Inner Bay, former hunter-gatherers from south of Hyanidizl are migrating into Blackacre and assimilating into their culture, gradually increasing Blackacre's population.

The True Hyanidizl steal several boats from the Ṇuṭṭoł, and begin raiding Al-Yanidiḍ.

Battle of Al-Yanidiḍ: A considerable force of True Hyanidizl, numbering 500 people, lands near Al-Yanidiḍ. However, this time the Alsazim are ready with a force of allied Ṇuṭṭoł, and the True Hyanidizl are massacred, leaving only 79 survivors, while 110 of the boats were retaken by the Ṇuṭṭoł.

-5904 - -5900

The eastern True Hyanidizl, after their defeat at Al-Yanidiḍ, decide to stop raiding the Alsazim and Ṇuṭṭoł. Instead they focus further east and begin raiding the "false" Eastern Hyanidizl.

The Ṇuṭṭoł elect their first chief, Ṇiršik I (-5954 - ?)

This does not conflict with the previous post due to different geographical location. These events and those in the post above happen between -5910 and -5900.

Boats (known as Zavatis to the people of these lands) now have a ram on their fronts. Andrikmes begins its expansion, conquering a large part of the northern Great Southern Lakes.

Boats (known as Zavatis to the people of these lands) now have a ram on their fronts. Andrikmes begins its expansion, conquering a large part of the northern Great Southern Lakes.

The strait separating the Alsazim Penninsula from the mainland is renamed after the Nuttol's chief at the time, Nirisk VI.

-5868 - -5860: Rule of Yenši I over Ṇuṭṭołen. New cities are founded under her leadership, and diplomatic interactions with the Hyanidił regions to the east begin. Among the coastal Hyanidił, xenophobia is showing a marked decline; far inland, the Hyanidił, while civilized, are still as xenophobic as they were at first.

-5865: Al-Yanidiḍ and Al-Ṇuṭṭuḍ become a separate Alsazim state with considerable Hyanidił influence; further south the Alsazim remain nomadic.

What do you mean? Word-final consonant devoicing is taking place in standard Hyanidił and in the Ṇuṭṭoł dialect. Also, Hyanidił has no /v/ sound last time I checked.

5860 BCE - 5850 BCE The Khishigta launch a massive campaign and manage to take back most of the land they lost. They also begin raiding Blackacre, who they have bordered for a long time. Ṇuṭṭołen becomes an absolute hereditary monarchy. The settled Hyanidizl are not as xenophobic as they used to be as the Khokh Dynasty takes control of the nation, forming ties with both Blackacre and Ṇuṭṭołen.

We also have a "new" map, but it only goes until 5920 BCE. I will make a new map when I have more time. Also note that both the Khishigta and the Mashacara Confederacy are nomadic nations, but they are still represented in the map. Culture map remained mostly the same and it should be important.

-5860: Against Yenši's wishes, her son Ṇerren (-5922 - -5853) is elected as chief.

-5853: Ṇerren dies, and his son Ṇuxtempay (Ṇuṭṭoł dialect: Ṇuxteṃp̣e) (-5903 - -5846) then accedes. He is a relatively incompetent ruler, and neglects to maintain contact with the Khokh (Xox in Hyanidił) lands far to the east. The Alsazim state is then known as Naš-Ṇuṭṭuḍ, "South Ṇuṭṭoł".

-5850 - -5846: Corruption is on the rise in Ṇuṭṭołen.

-5846, day 85-104: A group of Ṇuṭṭoł traveling to the Xox lands is intercepted and massacred by the Xišikta. 3 survivors make it back to Ṇuṭṭołen, and panic and unrest results. Ṇuxtempay is exiled and soon after murdered by Xišikta. He is succeeded by one of Yenši's most trusted officials, Rrišňu (-5930 - -5842).

-5846, day 128-205: Ṇuṭṭoł declares war on the eastern Xišikta, and with the help of a Xox army they seize the easternmost Xišikta lands. These lands were nearly completely uninhabited, so little resistance is encountered. A city is then planned in that area.

-5842: Rrišňu dies, and is succeeded by a random person from the invasion force who was in charge of the city council, by the name of Ṃešelxi (-5919 - ). Corruption is now in decline.
