My nation - which is pretty much just a unified Korea with some extra territory - represents my real views, as does pretty much anything I say on the forums. NS stats only broadly representative. Feel free to call me Q&K, Quartia, or any other nickname. Member of LITA

The nation that I think of is Kiu Ghesik, since they're both in the PastTech gang and their narratives both include some level of awkwardness between a father and a daughter (though each is very different in nature and degree).

Hear me out on this—Wexas. Both Wexas and Patagonia are overlaid on real world geography and are heavily defined by extremely out-there belief systems—the various religions in Wexas and of course surrealist futurism in Patagonia. They also have narratives that are informed by lots of factions (though in Wexas, those factions are predominantly foreign nations, rather than domestic schisms like in Patagonia).

What F7 nation is AN most similar to? There are quite a few similarities they have with Hatsunia, largely due of the Japanese culture, Baizou's videocassettepunk having some parallels with Hatsunia's embrace of digital revolution, and them both being more socially liberal than IRL Japan. That said, there are obviously differences as well.

OOC: I believe that's the G7; the prompt for this thread is intended to be an invitation to compare AN to another NationStates nation that also participates in Forum 7, or "F7," forum games—in other words, comparisons to fictional nations on the website, not to real nations in the Group of Seven.

For example, I've previously compared Surrealist Patagonia to Wexas. I think I could also meaningfully compare their nation to the Russian-American Continental Alliance. Patagonia stars a Cold War that's gone off the rails because of the inclusion and influence of the Patron's bat-crazy Futurism movement. Meanwhile, Russian-American stars a War on Terror that's gone off the rails because of—well, I'm actually not sure if there's a specific cause for why things have escalated so much, but they've got power armor and the EU invading Africa, so yeah, things are off the rails in that universe, too.

And I think I'd compared Federal State of China to Nacrad. Nacrad's territory doesn't encompass all of traditional China, but the nation's story is heavily defined by its proximity to China and shared cultural background. Both Nacrad and Federal State are nation-states that provide alternate histories for mainland Asia involving Chinese influences in countries with traditional liberal democracy.
