In recent years the currency of The GroßeresNordland The Nordlandic Mark has been criticised for looking too old fashioned and due to this lacking security features vital to modern currency. So today in the Capital of The Grand Duchy His Excellency’s Central Bank announced a new series of The Nordlandic Mark that would look slightly more modern in design and that would include vital new state of the art security features.
The first two notes to be released in The new series shall be the 50 and 100 Mark notes which shall be released in a weeks time from today. The 200, 500 and 1000 notes will all be released in 2021 and the old series will be slowly phased out.
Along with the new Banknotes a new 10 and 20 Mark coin will be released and there has been much excitement around the fact that they will feature The Heir to The throne Princess Mary alongside her father Grand Duke Henry V. Those to feature on the Banknotes include the nation’s first Prime Minister Haralt Preltsmann, writer Reir Vonderag and two former Grand Dukes Henry III and Katerin I.
