The NationStates Regional History Program

Sorry if the title is lengthy. I'm the FNU, and I've been attempting to gather information revolving around some of NS's more notable regions. It doesn't matter if the region no longer exists, any folk tale or mumbling is enough to open a file about it. I decided to trace the past through my home region, found apx. in July of 2014, however, I've hit a roadblock. The Confederacy of Nations, CON, was from my understanding a culture hub among regions, but as I check around for any region of substantial size under that name, I find small, merger regions.

If anyone has information on the CON or another historical region, post it here and I'll add it to the Files.

It would appear that the CON did in fact become a husked out region. If anyone knows what caused its decline that would help greatly. Info on other regions is still wanted and welcomed.

Confederation of Nations was raided by a party of fascists at the end of Summer 2018, although this did not cause its decline; I wrote a proposed Liberation to that effect but the fascists were removed before I could ever submit it.

You will note that Handal Ands - along with Gorundu, who was later to become a multiple-time WA author, TRR's Speaker of the Assembly, and TNP's Minister of Communications - co-founded the Democratic Union, which schismed from the Union of Allied States, in 2019.

Useful indeed. While finding the CON's flag is next to an improbability, mainly because they're name pulls up folder after folder, with only one non-file result, a Somalia like flag. However, it is fun to find old flags from other regions I'm writing about. So, I must thank you warmly.

Who are you "writing about" and what fruits do you hope to bring from this Program?

Anyone. If you've been part of a region with a chunk of history, I'll take that chunk, file it, and once it's large enough, release it to the public. My hope is that the program can create a large understanding of NS regions and their history, made by people who are just as human as us.
